Wow, damn, I never thought that this topip could grab so much attention! I just could not believe that someone would go so far as to bring racist propaganda into schools, it's sickening...

Mistress Urd *looks intently at the post* *frowns* Crap... I have no idea why but now they have this prapaganda s**t on the CD's... There is also a thing going around with Democratic or Republican songs on it... *springs up and starts screaming* WHY???!!! ARG! I HATE, HATE HATE!!!! No no... not hate... wish bad thing upon them... really bad things... REALLY REALLY bad things... no... I HATE THEM!!!! *takes out her beating stick* Lets go get us some nazis, dark... I see we are all having some issues with defining our feelings towards such things as intolerance. I find it helpfull to accept that this feeling of hate is a sort of instinctive reaction to something that I find apauling or unacceptable. Understanding that there is nothing wrong with this initial "hate" is a begining to coping with it. It is when we nurse our hatred when we cross the line 'tween being open minded and being intolerant.
The best way I can cope with this situation is aproach it with an open mind and as much self confidence as I can. Of course it is always easier to preach than to act, but I think I've dealt with a share of prejudice and racism, being Hispanic and all.

^^ vYeah. But some forms of extream hate should not be tolerated in the least. When a persons hate makes them act on it in such ways where they would hurt someone due to there skin colour or religious stance they should get what they give. They most likely wont change there opinions due to someone saying its wrong, because they feel its the ultimate right. IRL nazis would leave me alone, but they wouldnt leave my friends alone, thats part of why I hate nazis. When I see someones skin colour compared to mine, I see it as also meaning a possiblity of a diffrent background and upbringing, ergo (Sp?) possible a very diffrent veiw point on subjects.

Kids are forced to read about the KKK and crap anyway in school books, and many are forced to understand at a young age that all this is just bullshit.

a littlw while ago In the town I go to school people were posting fliers and putting notes in mail boxes etc, and it was a picture of a white woman praying, and it said "protect your Race''. There was a website on it. Out of curiousity I went to it, and it it had this link for children cartoons. The cartoons were about "chickens" and "ducks" but basically if you watch them plant the seed in a child brain for a long life of hate.
People like that will neer stop. They believe what they're doing is right just as much as we beieve it's wrong. I hate racist people, and wish we coud put them in a pit and barry them, but sadly that's not realistic. I guess we just need to love more to over ride their hate. crying

Yes Dark thats so true, in a way we need racist people to know what not to be. I mean they even have a Nazi guild on Gaia. I just don't like it when some of my african american friends think Im racist because im not. I let them know that im not like that, but then there are other racists that call everyone white a "White devil".
I can't stop people from hating each other but atleast I know there are other hippies like me that know that no ones blood is richer then anothers. Love and peace man, love and peace.
