I see Sakura possessing the neccessary wants and needs that most girls generally want, as for Gaara, I just see him as a slightly deranged, deviant thinking, (slightly homicidal), boy.
They are completely in contrast to one another--but that's why I like them. It adds so much more to the possibilites on how the relationship can be created, maintained, or ended.

i used to think Sakura was annoying like for the....first 6 episodes. Then I realized how much i could relate to her because, come on, every single girl has had a HUGE crush. It's like...progammed into use or something.
Gaara has that bad boy vibe to him, and every girl is attracted to that. Besides, i love the way they can both complete and counter balance each other.
It's like a puzzle.
Gaara = Sakura, Sakura = Gaara.

They just compliment each other very well, case and point.

My only dislike about this couple is that Kishimoto has been neglecting it.

Though I would like it if she was a bit stronger.

Every girl has an inner-Sakura XD I respect her a lot. She represents a lot of women out there, both young and old.
Gaara just reminds me of so many people rofl I can't help but like him.
Gaara and Sakura remind me of this couple at school. Completely different, yet balancing each other out. Pure win XD

I would also like him to be a bit more responsive.

I like Gaara because he's awesome and has such a sad past. Poor kid, but at least he found Naruto as a friend! I used to hate Sakura a lot because I really liked Sasuke, and I hated his fangirls. But now don't care about Sasuke and love Sakura! She's so cool and awesome, y'know?
