Sephiroth x3 cloud should have lost because in real life cloud would never know those moves without him sooo therefore sephiroth won and anyway sephiroth has power beyond comparison What the hell are you talking about? Try again with, you know, facts.

Wow at using "Cloud not having those moves in real life" as a reason for Cloud losing.
That phails.
Why do you think its called Final FANTASY?!

Cloud should have lost. It would have made the movie so mush better since people would remeber it more. And he would be reunited with Aeris!

Cloud should have won because you know he saw how Sephiroth fights in the begining of FF7 and you know after he swore vengence he would have been training all the way to Advent Children in which he beat Sephiroth... again.

I think Cloud would alwas win because I mean at the start when Cloud tossed Sephiroth down the reactor he was fricking staped and it went right throught him nad he just pick Sephiroth up and tossed him. That and Cloud has Tifa on his side and Tifa kicks a**.

I say the good guy should always win even if it does stretch one reasoning a bit. it would kinda of suck if he lost cause then it'd be over

yeah Cloud didn't deserve his victory over Sephiroth. I really believe that Sephiroth will come back though. even though Jenova is basically gone.
My ultra-thin guess is (this also includes Events from FF6)
Well at the End of FF6 Cefca became the First FF Villain to achieve Godsend and become almighty. after you defat him he is banished to another dimension. as you fight him he says he will obliterate everything. and above you during the battle is a Giant Glowing Sphere. It is actually Meteor because it gradually get's brighter if the Fight Drags on to long ans as it gets brighter Cefca starts to hit harder.
Well I think Cecfa was banished to the FF7 universe. and the Black Materia was actually Cecfa (being he had black jewels on his outfit before he becaome godlike.)
after all it's just a guess.

thats you damn good geuss but i think Cloud should have won and as kadaj said to Rufus there will always be others and what not and anyways Cloud did have the will to protect on his side and i too was also disapointed by the Omnislash at the end

It would be pretty cool if Cloud did his old Omnislash. to make it funny put that part of the movie with PS1 graphics for a quick laugh.

sepheroth got too cocky, and a demi-god still isnt a god. cloud was indeed outmatched, but sepheroth lost because he didnt kill cloud when he had the chance. when he used his new version of omnislash (omnislash version 5 i believe it is called) he broke kadaj's weak little body and dispelled the majority of the power that the remaining jenova cells had. in essence sepheroth thought that he was more powerful than he really was, and cloud was desperate.

I don't have all the facts but it seems as though we haven't seen the last of Sephiroth (I haven't gotten Dirge of Cerberus yet btw and dunno if there is anything I missed) It's true Sephiroth is extremely strong beyond human understanding. But I guess Cloud could have lost if it weren't for the continued torment and guilt for losing his friends to Sephiroth. I imagine the feeling of being unsatisfied with defeating Sephiroth in game. In Advent Children, Cloud became a wanderer and demonstrates his continued pain for his lost friends. When Kadaj and the gang shows up, it's almost like the end of a standstill emptiness that Cloud had since there was nothing he could do after defeating Sephiroth. Afterall, who else was there to fight? Anyway, to keep the post short, my point is that even though Cloud does seem like he could be defeated by Sephiroth easily, Cloud has more of this eternal desire to put Sephiroth away for good, and he lives only to do so. So, yes, Cloud 'should have died' but he is the only balance here between good and evil therefore, he won't, even if it means sacrificing his own life to do so I believe.
-CLOUD FINAL

By the way, I forgot to say that I didn't think about your statement about how Kadaj's body was to weak. That is a very good observation and theory! Makes you think, right? If no one is more powerful than Sephiroth, who could possibly be strong enough to be used as a host since the original Sephiroth is dead? Who could it possibly be? Nobody? Or somebody?...Somebody like Cloud? Ooooh, that would be bad news!
