Kale shrugged, "It's fine, quite understandable." He replied, "And that suggestion is a good one," He cocked his head at the foal-like stallion, he was indeed a unique specimen and Kale doubted he'd ever meet someone like him again.
With another shrug, knowing that he would probably never be so impulsive again, he broke away from the feminine stallion and sped into a gallop, heading for the nearest body of water. Briefly, he wondered if Cualtzin would realize wht he had done and catch up to him but he concentrated more on running. He hadn't done something like this in a long time and the excerise was exhilirating, he'd have to do it again sometime. His shoulders powered forward driving hm closer and closer to the lake he could smell nearby.

Cualtzin broke into a loud laugh as he watched Kale gallup off. Well, here they go. In no time after that, he went into a full gallup. Going as fast as he could, yet still having fun. Slowly creeping up on the other stallion. His curls flew with the wind, as if fighting with it. Flowers clinging on nicely to his mane and tail. "WHEE!" He yelled as he was a few yards behind Kale.
The thunder that they both made as the raced down the path towards what looked like a river or lake bank. It was like music to any wild horse. Dust flew silently in the air behind them. Loud laughter still coming from Cualtzin as he tried slightly to catch up to the other stallion. Though, he was still creeping up slowly.
It happened when you weren't really fast, but he didn't mind. Grin still on his face. He loved this. He couldn't wait to start swimming. He didn't want to push himself more, or he'd end up falling. Not risking that, he slowed just, leaving a bigger gap between him and Kale. Which of course, he didn't care. As long as they both were having fun.

Kale laughed silently as he heard Cualtzin shout behind him he glanced back and saw him speeding toward him, kicking up dust behind him. By the time they'd get to the lake, they would be covered in it, though Kale was sure Cualtzin didn't really care. He would think it was some grand adventure.
His ears flicked back and forth, to hear if Cualtzin was catching up to him but the hoofbeats seemed to be slowing and he looked back to see that Cualtzin was indeed slowing down. Kale decided to slow down as well, there was no point in contining to run at full speed if he would have to wait for Cualtzin to join him there. He turned back until he was near the spotted stallion and joined him in trotting, though he didn't speak for a while.
"Is there a reason you slowed, Cualtzin?" he asked. There couldn't be any danger, both of them would have sensed it and Cualtzin wouldn't have slowed down for a cougar...he hoped.

Cualtzin came to a slow trot as he continued to go towards the lake. He looked at Kale for a second and laughed. "No. I just didn't feel like pushing myself to fall." He gave a grin and sped up just abit. He wondered if he should run straight into the water or just stop right at the edge and walk in.
There were many questions, though normally he didn't think twice on it. He grined and sped up a bit more. Running straight into the water sounded fun. Indeed it would be fun. He slowed again making sure it didn't look like he was trying to trick Kale. Shaking his head as he ran, made him look funny, but to him it was fun. "Well, what are you waiting for? We still have to get to the water!" He yelled out.

Kale sped up along with Cualtzin, mentally raising a brow at how the other stallion was acting. What is he planning...? But he followed Cualtzin, tossing his head to get a braid out of his eyes. "I'm coming. You aren't even that much ahead of me." He replied loudly, catching up with the spotted stallion, "Glad to see you're having fun." He grumbled, though his heart did flutter a bit in happiness to be running again. He hadn't done this is a while...

Cualtzin laughed and sped up. Heading straight for the water and not stopping. It was close now, he could feel the cold feel of water. "WHEE!" He yelled. He just slowed a little bit, to make sure he wouldn't fall when he hit the water.
Finally reaching the water, he felt the splashes on his belly as he rushed into it. "Come on! The water's great!" He yelled as he started to swim around. You could only see his head poking out of the water as he swam back and forth in a deep part of the water. He loved to swim, though didn't get to often when Tally was around. She feard it.

Kale followed Cualtzin and splashed in himself, though he didn't go deep enough to swim, he chuckled and shok his head at the stallions antics, "If I didn't know better I'd say you were a foal." He called out to him. He bent his head and took a long drink of water to clear his mouth of dust. He looked back up again and waded in a bit more to his chest. The water was soothing after the run, it lowered his temperature quite well. He watched as Cualtzin swam about and laughed quietly, He really is a lot like a foal he thought, raising an eyebrow.

He swam back towards Kale. "Well, perhaps I am one just in a stallions body?" He chuckled and choked at the same time. Water seemed had made it's way into his mouth when laughing. He took a drink of water to stop the coughing, it worked well. One of the few things he remembered from his mom.
"But, hey, no one would like me any other way." He gave a half grin as he was now standing on the soft dirt like stuff. He shook his head splashing water in all directions.

Kale snorted, "That would make entirely too much sense." He replied airily, shaking his mane, "Like you any other way? Cualtzin, I don't think anyone would be able to imagine you any other way." He backed up a few feet and shook himself again, his black coat shining from the water. He winced as some of the water coming off of Cualtzin landed on him, "Hey," He sighed and kicked out at him, splashing water towards the spotted stallion.

Cualtzin laughed as water was splashed at him. "hey, it's not my fault you were in the way of the water. It has a mind of it's own you know." He chuckled as he did a sort of slow trot out of the water.
"Oh, Well, I'm sure others could picture me differently. It's just what they do." He gave him a half grin.

Kale shook his head, "Water doesn't have a mind of it's own," He replied logically, "It isn't alive in the first place." He trotted toward the spotted stallion and splashed him in a minor sort of revenge. He turned away and trotted out of the water before Cualtzin could retaliate and stepped onto the sand. He shook himself vigorous in an attempt to dry off. He was still damp, but at least he wasn't soaked anymore. He glanced toward Cualtzin, wondering what the strange male would do next.

He looked at Kale like Kale was crazy. Not because of the return splashing, but because of the water thing. "Sure it has a mind of it's own. It's also alive too, you know. If you don't watch it, and turn your back on it, it can eat you." He said simply. He'd seen it happen to a couple of types of animals and a two-legger.
He trotted out of the water to the nice, now wet ground. Letting the water just drip off of him. It felt awesome as it touched the his legs and slowly came off his hooves.

Kale shook his head, "Whatever you say, Cualtzin." Why would Cualtzin think water was alive? Of course water wasn't alive. It didn't have a mind, how could it be alive? He shook his head again and trotted over to a patch of trees. Rearing up onto his hind legs, he carefully snatched one of the few apples left of the tree. With a mental sigh, because he couldn't just eat one by himself. He grabbed another one and tossed it toward the spotted stallion. "Might as well eat them while there's some left." He called after him before taking a bite of the apple.

Cualtzin walked over and picked it up, but didn't bite into it all the way. He was going to save it for his mate. She loved apples. He thought it would be an excellent treat for her. He placed it by his feet to speak. "I'll just give it to my mate when I see her." Which, knowing him, would be in an hour or two.
He looked down at the apple. It was really looking good, but he could wait. He didn't want the other stallion to get him another one. "I'm not hunrgy anyways, and she loves apples." He added. He felt proud of himself. He couldn't always be selfish. She was the love of his life, and he needed to share something with her. Even though, his heart was all hers, he wanted to show her that he cared in other ways aswell.

Kale raised a brow, this stallion had a mate? She had a lot to put up with then. Cualtzin was a nice enough creature, but he had a great deal of a naive air about him. "A mate, I see? Well, that's very kind of you." He replied genially before taking a bit of the apple. "I have no one myself, I seem to lack that quality."
He shrugged, "Then again, I have met few mares, so perhaps that is the problem." He snorted, having realized he had rambled for a bit, "Ignore me." He took another bite of the apple, determined to keep his mouth shut for a while.
