I don't think that it is trendy to be Bi. I just think that it's easier for people today to feel what they really want and share their feelings on things like sexual preference. I think there are many Str8 people out there who are Bi, but refuse to accept it.
I'm gay and I love it that way! So if you hote it then just stay away! sweatdrop
LOL!

My friend Kate is gay. So is her older sister. I, on the other hand, am an only child. And I'm gay. So ya. There's my three cents.

I think I'm the only member of my family that isn't heterosexual. I'm bisexual, but I suspect my uncle of being bisexual too.

The Eighth House So, when I told my friend that I was bi, she told me she was too. And that her sister was. When I told my other friend I was bi, she was too. And that her sister was. I only live with one of my siblings and he's 5, so I can't tell yet if he's gay too or not. Although he was erm, experiementing with this other boy, but I know some little kids do that. Do gay teens have gay brothers and sisters? And something else too... When I know somebody for long enough I can feel if they're lesbian. I just feel it. Does it happen with other people? Yes, gay siblings do happen. It's somewhat more likely than for two unrelated people to be gay, and the chances of the identical twin of a homosexual person are increased even further. But it's not necessarily that way, so I certainly wouldn't expect your siblings to be non-heterosexual just because of that. And as for the "feeling that they're lesbian" thing, that could mean you just have a good gaydar. And sure, some of my friends are very good at telling about things like that.

Does it happen with other people? well i think maybe in YOUR case it's that all those people are young, and MANY teens consider themselves bi when they are actually just young and experimenting >.O i dont really consider myself bi because thats kinda what i am doing. I am not sure if i am bi, but i guess i have always been attracted to girls and guys. But i know my parents wont accept me for it. My mother says that being gay or bi or lesbian is "unscriptural" or whatever. LAME! she knows people that are gay and stuff, i think somehow she is just being hipicritical.

Nope. I'm the gay, or rather, bi, sibling. My sister's completely straight, and so are the vast majority of my friends. Though, both of my female best friends are bi.

I find that all the problems comes down to this labelling of sexuality. If someone asks if a person is gay, they should say No. If they're Bi, say No. Homo, hetero, still say No.
Eventually they'll ask what you are and the answer is "Human" (you might also add that you find other humans attractive) As soon as this labelling stops, the phobias will stop.
Unlikely it will happen, but it won't unless someone makes a start.

I'm... open. My sister is accepting. She's 17. We both identify as heterosexual, but we've both been brought up in a very tolerant and progressive family, so we've both been taught to be accepting of other lifestyles. I don't know if she'll turn out to be 'open' like I am (ie. willing to pursue love regardless of gender) but I know she is okay with alternate lifestyles and sexualities.
Edit: BTW, Bodster_gwg, I am in total agreement with you!

Ah. I myself am a pansexual and my brother is bi-curious. He's never actually been in a real relationship with either boy or girl, and he feel smore drawn to boys, but he'd try a girl out too, if the interst ever arose.
I feel rather sorry for our parents. I don't want children and I doubt my brother dose either. The family name will die and they will have no grandchildren.

I personally have gone madly into the whole figuring out how one is gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc. The reason being is that my oldest uncle, Uncle Gerald, is openly gay AND my oldest aunt, Aunt Dianna, is a lesbian. So I have personally sort of questioned if it might just be genetic in some fashion. I am not quite sure, it may be different for other people but its just so odd that I turn out to be gay after both my Aunt and Uncle are gay. Odd coincidence am I right?
(P.S. My Auntie owns a gay bar in Peoria, Illinois. razz )

Lol. I've known I was bi for a while and when I told my friends, 4 out of 6 of them are bi too. It is strange how we attract other gay and bi people when we're young, isn't it? My friends and I have taken to saying the phrase "equal oppertunity lover" rather than bisexual just for a little difference. Late last school year I found out that almost my entire school is bi/gay/lesbian. It's so crazy

But I'm starting to suspect my little sister of being a lesbian, because she's always pairing the female characters in anime/games/anything together... and she hates seeing the straight ppl on tv slobbering over each other, she's like, "That's all they show on tv!" ....which is kind of true now that I think about it.... =.= ...........Her views and opinions on things might be 90% my fault though.....
