Well, Halloween isn't really a true holiday (not, I friggin LOVE Halloween)
Halloween is based of Paigan (sp?) believes, but if it was based off Christian, Catholic, or even Jewish beliefs it'd be a holiday to take off of school.
We have Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, but my school apparently can't take a break off on Presidents Day or some crap.
If it were a racist issue as well schools would have Halloween as a day off of school.
Halloween was the best damn holiday EVER! Thanks to marketing it's now changed into some half assed holiday where kids in store bought outfits go around asking for free candy!
HALLOWEEN WILL RISE AGAIN! scream
So, in short... yea, wtf was with the whole taking Halloween off the DS game.

Actually, I'm glad they got rid of the Halloween, now I don't have to worry about losing a cool looking shirt just because I didn't have any candy. I could never find any candy before halloween, even at Nook's shop.
