She gave him a smile and thought a second, then replied, "Sure, I could use some coffee. I am really tired and hopefully that will give me a boost in my day." She grabbed his hand and then she got up. She smiled at him and then she started to walk toward the coffee shop.

James walked with her and pulled out her chair for her to sit. "Okay so I know you play piano but what are you majoring in." He looked at one of the servers he knew and he started to get them coffees. "Also what proffesion are you looking into?"

Now this is where it was going to get interesting for Annelissa. She replied, "I'm majoring in Music to become a music teacher." she said. Then she followed up with, "What about you? You play a lot of instruments, are you going to become a music teacher too then?" She began to laugh and she smiled as the server brought the two coffees. "Oh thank you sir." She said and then she turned to James, "Thank you too." she said with even a brighter smile as she took her first sip of the coffee. Then she waited patiently for him to respond.

Ryan was limping through the coffee shop, not watching where he was going. He was busy thinking of the test he had just taken and probably failed.
"Oh geez.", he muttered, "Albatrosses are Procellariiformes, not Charadiiformes. What the hell was I thinking? I'm going to fail this test for sure."
Concerned with his failing grade, he didn't notice the chair that had been pulled out in front of him until it was too late. He bumped into it, and the girl sitting in it, lightly, but enough that he took a step back to keep his balance. Putting most of his weight directly on his left ankle. All he managed was a sharp intake of air before his leg collapsed underneath him, ad he fell to the ground, instinctively grabbing for his injured ankle. Leaving him to fall backward with nothing to stop his fall.
He hit the ground hard.

James took his seat and took a sip of his coffee and then added some creamer. "I'm actualy going to work in the Bay Area Symphony Orchestra playing whatever they need if anyone is absent on the night of a concert. I'm also planing to teach privetly and posibly composing a little. But after all of that. Maybe." He looked at her. He grinned. "I've always loved music and I've always been playing something. What about you. What got you into the piano? Parents? School? Just because?"
EDIT:James set his cup down and got up. He helped the man up and into his chair. "You okay?"

"Well..." she began and then felt her chair rock. She turned around quickly and saw the injured man laying on the ground. "Oh my!" she said and jumped out of her chair to help him. "Are you okay? Is there anything I can get for you?" She asked him. He looked hurt and she wanted to help. She forgot all about James' question at that moment.
As James helped him into his chair she was being careful with the leg that he seemed to be grabbing.

The shock of hitting the ground jarred him. He waited a moment to move, fearing that it would hurt more.
"Jus...just a second." He replied to the girl. The pain from the fall was wearing off, though his ankle was positively throbing. He slowly got to his knees, doing his best to keep his right side to the girl, to avoid her seeing the scars on his face. Putting a hand onto the table, he pulled himself onto a chair.
"Thank you, no. I'll be fine, really." He held out a hand to her. My name is Ryan Michaels, Ms.?" He et the question of her name hang. He hadn't noticed the man to his left, nor that his face was exposed to him.

She grabbed his hand and said, "My name is Annelissa Devero. It's nice to meet you Ryan." She paused and then continued, "Are you sure you're going to be okay? I can call a nurse?" She said to him in fear that it could just get worse.

James looked at his face. He saw the scars and diverted his gaze. He got up and went over to one of his friends at another table and inquired about Ryan. Noone knew a thing. James has a sinking feeling in his stomach. He didn't know if Ryan was safe or not but he was going to be careful. He brought up an extra chair to the table and sat down. He picked up his coffee and took a sip making sure that he kept his eyes on Ryan.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Devero." He gave a polite smile. "It was just a fall; I won't break so easily."

"I think it is more an issue of the scars. It might be a smart idea to get you to someone. What happened to you to have your face cut up like that. And your ankle?"

"Are you sure? You look like you're in a lot of pain?" She said but then realized that bringing up the word 'pain' could bring back a little more so she changed the subject. "Uhh, you can call me Ann if you want to." She said with a smile trying to see if she could do anything to help the poor guy.

Noticing the other guy for the first time, he turned to him. "Oh, hi." His hand immeadiately went to his face, to the scars, which looked an awful lot like claw marks. He suddenly seemed downcast. "No, these are about as healed as they're going to be. My ankle too. I...really don't like to talk about it."
Turning back to Annelisa, he tried to perk up, at the very least so she wouldn't worry about him, "I'll keep that in mind, Ms. Devero, er, Ann. Sorry"
Realizing that the two of them had been sitting at the table together, he thought maybe they were on a date. "I'm really sorry. I'm not interupting anything, am I?"

"No you aren't. Dude I'm not letting you go anywhere till you promise me you'll go to a doctor about your face. That doesn't look like. Well it looks like they may be infected."

"No, you weren't interrupting...are you sure you don't want to go to the doctor. I can drive you there. My truck is right over there." She said pointing to a nice shiney red truck with shiney crome wheels. "We can carry you there and then I can drive you. Please, let us take care of you. You seem hurt and your ankle looks swollen." She said to him.
