Mahli laughed at Larkin's reply and tossed her tuft of hair back. "Yeah, I do!" Mahli answered. She turned her head to see her own side and giggled, then decided to see if anything interesting was happening somewhere.
She walked towards Larangi once more, smiling as she came closer. "So..." Mahli looked at the other Malu and then back to Larangi again. "..do you know anyone here? I don't." For once Mahli didn't smile, she looked a bit sad actually. "Not that it matters.." She quickly gave Larangi a fake smile to hide how she felt.
"Hehe, I hope I won't scare anyone to death, but it's not like I'm scaring babies or really old Malu." She giggled and wagged her tail, clearlt satisfied with how her so called attack earlier went.

"Well, you do know us now, do you not?" Chael spoke as he returned to the others, sitting down alongside Larangi and Mahli. "Therefore, you do know others." Folding his wings against his back as it had become a habit when he sat, the Arctic male glanced between the two females. It was strange how many Malu appeared now that he was an adult...the temple had been so empty when he was a child.
"So, how are you both today?" He inquired, not really knowing a fascinating topic to discuss, so he just descided on some basic small talk.

"Mmmm," Larangi mumbled to herself as she glanced around, trying to pick out any familiar figures she would have met before, and finding none, shook her head at Mahli. "Nope, I don't know anyone either."
"But that's ok," the black and white malu added after a moment, nodding to Chael who had settled down next to them. "I'm good," she responded to the male Malu, "Are you good too?"

After hearing both Chael and Larangi speak, Mahli felt a bit better. She looked at Chael and smiled warmly. "I'm great!" Mahli looked like a kid on Christmas Day, her eyes glistering in the light. She was just about to ask how he was but found that Larangi had already asked and decided to wait for the respond to her question instead of asking it again.

Tirokio This little female sure was cute, her innocent smile, the tiny voice...She slightly reminded him of Enoa when he met her as just a baby. Of course, this little femme had quite the intricate of designs on her pelt....just a colourful blue compared to his own more pale hues. Tilting his head slightly, his eyes wandered around for a moment as he was curious if her mother was about. Yet as he knew very well, many Malu here did not have parents, having been dropped off over time, or found others to care for them...much like Loki was doing now.
"Are you alone here? My name is Chael.."
He spoke lightly, moving to lay down infront of the little one as to not seem so big and towering over her.
"Yes..I am alone..I dont know why.. But I dont want to be alone.. Im scared.. My name is Tethys." She said, confiding in the older Malu. She nuzzled closer to him, not sure if he would care or not, but she needed the comfort that only someone older could give her.

"I'm great, Thank you. Its been a wonderful while. I've met so many Malu, and I'm ever so glad to meet more Malu." Chael smiled brightly, glancing to Mahli for a moment. Something was slightly off about her, and he couldn't put a paw on it. She seemed happy, yet he felt something sad about her. Deciding to not bring it up just yet.
Glancing down, he noticed the little femme had followed him back to the group, whom also seemed to be as alone as all these other Malu. Moving down to lay, he smiled almost sadly as she nuzzled up to him, moving his paws to scoot her over between his forepaws to rest against his chest. Somehow....he felt as if she was sharing the same fate as he when he was young...left alone by a mother. He could remember how scared and alone he felt, and felt bad for the little one. "There's nothing to be scared of here, Tethys. Don't worry..." He smiled and nudged her gently with his muzzle, trying to reassure her.

Tethys nuzzled into Chael, and sighed. She felt warm, and protected. She looked up into his eyes, and caught sadness. Was it sadness? She hadnt been around long enough to be able to predict emotions, but he felt sad to her. She gave a soft smile, and spoke again.
"Can-Can I follow you awound? I would like to have someone to act as a pawental figuwe."

Ashura glanced at Imena and, because it seemed that no one was talking to him, he made his way down the steps to her and draped a single wing over her, "Hello, Mena, how are you holding up?" He asked gently. He glanced back at the others, amusement playing across his orange-gold eyes, such an intriguing bunch of Malu had gathered, it would be fun to watch what would happen. He lay down next to Imena, intent on watching the others and taking in a bit of sun, after all, such things never hurt anyone.
Imena blinked up at Ashura and smiled nervously, "I'm fine, Ash, just a little overwhelmed, it's really interesting around here." She squeaked a bit as he shifted positions to lie down, getting a full blast of sunlight in her eyes, she warbled an indginant cry and scurried under is outstretched wing. Such an annoying thing, the sun, always disturbing her rest! She was a bit disappointed though, she liked meeting new people, but she was too shy to go up and talk to everyone, she wasn't like that spotted malu anyway, the one who had startled everyone else...she sighed and curled up under on of Ashura's wings, the dark shade was quite comfortable and she could watch everything from here.

Blinking lightly, Chael caught her soft smile, which in turn caused his own lips to upturn. Listening to her request, he knew he couldn't refuse, even if he wasn't to...which wasn't the case. Perhaps if he could help her out, then another wouldn't be left alone like so many here had been. "Of course, Tethys...It wouldn't mind it a bit." The older male chuckled softly, using his nose to try and settle down a clump of her hair which wished to stick up.

Tethys giggled a bit, for the first time, she was giggling, and it was in Chael's prescence. She gave her smile, and her eyes closed as he tried to wish her hair down. She giggled again, and looked up at the older Malu.
"Thank you. Might I ask about youw name? Whewe'd you get it?"

Chael looked at her hair, which didn't want to stay down at all. Raising a brow, he chuckled softly in tune with her own small giggles. Tilting his head slightly at her question, he thought about it for a moment before giving her a response. "My mother gave me that name, a very long time ago when I was your age. I'm surprised I remembered it as a child though, I didn't see much of her. Your mother probably gave your name to you as well," He lifted his muzzle up off her hair, watching the peice he had flatten arise again. "You know...you have as wild hair as me. Just...has a mind of its own." He mused, smiling.
