"I don't think anyone likes ferries. They're way to loud, took me a whole 15 minutes to fall asleep."
Jizzy said, laughing softly. She was told she could sleep through anything, and this was probably true. She had slept through thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, no volcanic eruptions, but from the looks of the smokingmountain in the distance, that would happen soon too.
"Cool. A volcano!"
She exclaimed, finally letting the fact sink it. She had an itch to go explore, but deducted that it was probably off bounds.

Chao nearly missed the appearance of Wyvern as her eyes settled on said volcano. For a moment she was lost in thoughts about the possibility of eruption and wondering just how close she could get to it before that happened, of course then she vaguely remembered something about it being out of bounds for the moment. Nuts. She had an itch similar to Jizzy's but ah, for now there were probably boxes to unpack and the like lurking where-ever her new home was.
She sighed and turned her attention back to the group, "good morning," she greeted Wyvern with a small smile to accompany her words as her mind scrambled to attempt to relay that which she'd missed.
She gave her head a small shake and her eyes flickered back to Wyvern and she cocked her head, "our little group is heading towards Setone, are you going that way as well?" It was doubtful the other girl was heading anywhere else but hey, you never knew, right?

"Yuppers, cause if you are heading to Setone, we can all travel together. Maybe detour to the beach or something too."
Jizzy said, smiling at teh thought of lounging on the beach for a while. Ah.. sun, sand and no homeowrk. This place was great. Sure she still had to care of the house and the Aerandir once it was born, but she'd take this over school anyday.

((Sorry guys, I'm going to move this RP on and assume it's a week later and everyones's gone to their homes as otherwise I can't get your administrator onto the Island >> ))
Alyosha got off of the small transport boat which had escorted them from the larger ferry. It was a good sized boat, quite large even, but still small enough to cope with the shallower waters around the islands. His bare feet felt good on the warm concrete as he walked off of the dock and headed towards the village, motioning to the man who was behind him to follow.

His feet met solid ground once more and he felt slightly relieved. It wasn't that he didn't like boats, it just happened to be that his stomach didn't. Finally he was here, though, in this paradise of an Island. He'd thought for a little while he might not make it but now that he had arrived all of that worry seemed somewhat unneccesary. He hoisted the large bag with his things over his shoulder and headed forward, cathing up with Alyosha. An odd man, pale and sickly looking. Friendly though and seemed to know what he was on about, highly respected by his colleagues too, can't be a bad sort of chap, surely?
He took out a small notebook and a pencil and recorded the time and date and, as they walked, took frequent notes about their surroundings. This place was most interesting. The chance of a lifetime - and he wasn't going to stand around wasting it.

Osero made his way through the long grass, passing by the foot of the eastern watchtower. By the sun, he had made rather good time so far. The village wasn't far away either. He was nearly there, in fact. The blades of grass slapped at his legs as he strode through them. As he walked, he wondered how many people were on this island now. He also wondered how they were for supplies of food. He'd need to ask.
By this time, the grass had given way to the village. Striding in past the houses, the wolf/eagle Aerandir then paused. Quietly, he glanced around himself, his sharp eyes searching for any sign of life in the new settlement.

"Three and five became stone and mortor, four sees all in frozen water," Chao murmured the familar rhyme under her breath, her nose firmly pressed into her copy of Lirael, grey eyes occasionaly flickering away from the pages. She'd recently learned that crawling out the one of the windows from her bedroom led her straight onto the roof, an ideal place to read and besides, the posistion gave her a wonderful view of the realitively close by beach and ocean.
Her eyes flickered up and she caught sight of a dark figure standing out along the fringes of the settlement. Tilting her head curiously she placed a worn bookmark into her beloved book and stood, one hand reflexively checking the shoulder bag that held Sanar's jar. After its safety was assured she walked along her roof, trying to get a better look at the figure and identify it.

After a short pause, the Aerandir shouldered the two-pronged spear again and walked further into the village. It seemed fairly quiet, although that was probably to be expected at this stage. Maybe he could check the large lodge. He'd need to go there at some point anyway if he was going to find out how the inhabitants here were for food. Shifting his broad, dark wings a little, he wandered through the village. His strides were naturally long, but now he was here, he was in no hurry.
A movement high up caught his eye momentarily, and the hunter glanced up. A small bird flew overhead, giving a high pitched chirp. Osero smiled, watching it for a moment as it passed over.
Starting forward, he silently padded through the village, away from the centre of the settlement again towards the western edge.

'A new Guardian?' Chao wondered quietly, leaning forward slightly. Maybe. Maybe not. She could swear that the figure had a pair of wings, but hey, who was to say the average Gaian could possess a pair of feathered appendages as well?
Knowing that until she'd figured out who the figure wandering about the village was, and possible introduced herself, her mind would refuse to rest she jumped from her roof with ease. Landing with a slight 'oomph' back on solid ground, one arm cradeling her bag carefully. She set off, going the way she thought she'd seen the increasingly mysterious figure go. She was silently hoping to catch sight of the figure again before she hailed them. After all, yelling out 'hello' in the middle of a semi-inhabited village would most likely gain a whole spectrum of replies.

Abbey was wandering through the village, particularly absentminded. Her Hippocampus had been gone for awhile. It was probably exploring some far corner of the island. She paused for a moment, looking around with a confused expression, as if wondering where she was, then scratched her head and continued along the path. The Lodge. Right. She checked the jar in her arms, running a hand over it and inspecting the polished glass as she walked.
After a moment, she heard a dull thump, and the shuffle of footsteps up ahead. The girl tilted her head, looking up. A figure.
Um.
...
Chao? her mind proffered meekly.
Yeah. That's it. Maybe she was headed to the Lodge as well.
Abbey kept walking, but didn't make any real attempt to speed up. She'd catch up eventually, afterall, if they were headed to the same place.

She read for a few minutes before hearing a thump.. She turned to look around and spotted Chao. Her book wasn't all that interetsing anywasy, she thoguht and stood, moving over to go meet with Chao.

Hearing the thmp of footfalls coming her way Chao turned, smiling when she noticed Jizzy and Abbey, waving to both of them, though Abbey was much further behind. Turning around she began to walk backwards so that she could talk to Jizzy, who was soon close enough to her for conversation, though she nearly ran into one of the houses when she tried to turn a corner too soon. "Hey Jizzy, how're you?"

"Bored, to tell the truth.. This town is so empty.."
Jizzy replied softly, looking around at the deserted houses around them, and even with people, it wasn't the same.. Hopefully once the Aerandir finally showed up,it'd give this place some life..
"I was out readig when I saw you, what are you up to?"

Chao nodded, "yeah. Once the Aerandir arrive I bet we'll miss the silence...." she said knowledgably, drawing on the experience of looking after a ward.
"You too? I was reading until I spotted someone I didn't reconize walking through the village, but they were too far away so I decided to see if I could catch up with them and say hello and the like. They were heading in the direction of the lodge, or so I think. Care to join me in my quest?" she asked with a lopsided smile, still walking backwards.

"Sounds like fun! FUN FUN QUESTING! ((*<3's those three words*))"
She exclaimed and began to scan the area around them.. She spotted one figure, and that was Abbey but nothing else..
"Maybe they made it to the lodge, come on.."
Jizzy said, the spark of adventure flaring in her eyes.. It was obvious she loved this, the unknown, a mystery, an adventure. SHe lived for the thrill.
