Arith slowed his pace as he neared the water, tail wagging happily.This was lots of fun, and he had of fun two spheres!He turned his head, sniffng the air for any other smells that didn't belong.A salty smell reached his nose, a smell he couldn't really place a name to, but it didn't seem to go with the fresh smelling water infront of him.
He took a few steps to one side, sniffed, then another couple stepps the other way, trying to find exactly where the smell was coming from.He knew it was in the water, or on perhaps, but couldn't quite find exactly where.With a sneeze he crouched down, ears twitching as he tried to sort out all the other smells.Flowers, trees adn other such scnets he ignored, trying his best to focus on the smells that came from the water.
The salty smell hit him again and he sneezed, it was a bit stronger than before.After a moment he noticed it was coming from a bit further out.With a grin he stood and took a few steps into the water, it was shallow so far.He continued forward after the smell, making his way through the water till it started going above his waist.The smell got a bit stronger with each step, and he kept wrinkling his nose at he.He didn't like this smell very much.When the salty smell seemed to go no further he turned, noticing it was coming slightly from beside him, and there was the orb!It took him a second to really notice it, but he grabbed it up quickly when he did.
Another orb down!Arith hurried out of the water as fast as he could, stumbling slightly as he grabbed the top of his pants to keep them from falling form the weight of the water."Got another one!"He set it beside the other two and took a few steps back, shaking his legs and tail to rid them of water.When he was relatively less wet he started to ring out his shorts, surprised at how water culd make clothes heavier.

"Very good, that only leaves you with two more to go to finish up the class." Orpheus said, motioning to the classroom, not giving any hints as to where the next one may be though. It was out there and he was doing really well so he doubted that help was even needed at this point.
There was the scents of nature all around and without moving forward he wouldn't figure out which ones were supposed to be there and which weren't. There was something though, the scent of dirt. Not that it was very surprisings since the floor to the room was dirt but as he walked out the dirt started to smell instead sort of... swampy. Something that wouldn't exactly click since the dirt wasn't wet and there was not moss or algae in the room. A scent of the next hidden sphere?

Arith's tail wagged as hearing there were only two left.Not wanting to waste time he turned back around and started to move aroudn the clas room, weaving around bushes and trees as he sniffed the air for any hint of a scent that didn't belong.
After a bit of walking around he found himself back near the water, though on the opposite side of where he had been before.With a quick turn around he started in the direction he ha dbeen heading before, trying his best to sniff out even the faintest smell of something, aside from the things he could put names to.
Then he smelled it, a faint smell of something, dirt?It didn't smell quite like dirt, different, thuough he wasn't sure exactly what it was.He followed it, ears twitching curiously as he tried to figure out what this smell was.

The path was a lot of flat river rock, smoothed by water on the side that was up so as not to hurt the feet of any students that may be running around barefooted. The scent seemed to be coming from on the path, the farther along the boy would go, the closer to where the orb sat the heavier the damp and swampy scent would become. Sitting there, hidden between some of the rocks out of place as it was small and the rocks were along with its heavy smell. Due to being wrapped in algae to hide it the sphere would also be a bit squishy if stepped on.

Arith walked along the path, looking over the smoothed rocks as he went, the smell got stronger.The smell, he still couldn't figure out what it was, but maybe when the class was done he could ask the teacher?Then if he ever smelled it again he could atleast know what it was.
As he continued along the path it continued getting stronger, he took a few steps off the path and sniffed to see if it was coming from some other direction.He turned back to the path, that had to be where it was coming from, though he didn't like this scent either, it was icky.Figuring that just standing there was getting him nowhere he moved abck onto the path, sniffing lightly as he made his way along it.He didn't take but a few steps when he stepped on something squishy, or squishier.Taking a step back he wrinkled hs nose, looking down to see what it was.It just looked like nasty green stuff to him, and it smelled really bad, like..like the smell he was following.
With a quick glance backwards, torwards the teacher, he bent down and poked at the algea, not really wanting to touch the stuff as it looked and smelled really weird.After a bit of poking it he noticed there was something under it, and, wrinkling his nose a bit more, he wiped it aside.Sitting among the rocks was another sphere, and it had that weird, nasty smell coming from it.He picked it up and wiped his hands off on his pants as he turned adn made his way back torwards the teacher.

(( LMAO, poor Arith. *petpets him* ))
Even Orpheus could smell this sphere coming, he had hoped that it would dry out a bit and not be so... algae-y. Ahh well, the boy had found it at least right? And that meant that he was one sphere away from completing his class, "Good job, both on finding that one and being brave enough to bring it back here." He complimented Arith, "There is only one more out there and don't worry. Its a lot better then that one."

Arith set the sphere down by the others and wiped his hands off on his pants again, nose still wrinkled from the algae and the smell.At the compliment he looked up and smiled, ears twithing."Thanks."He turned back around, still idly wiping his hands off on his shorts, and started abck forwad.He wondered where the last one could be as he sniffed the air, moving slowly so as to catch every scent he could.

It didn't really seem to be a scent yet that was out of place, no. It was all that nature smell. The far along he went the more that it smelled like that... then something teased at his sense of smell but... could it be? Was that scent actually there or was it his imagination. The scent of... cookies? Somewhere in a classroom like this?
It would make up for that awful algae sphere...

Arith slowed as he smelled what he thougth was cookies.But that couldn't be could it?He glanced abck at the teacher again, wondering if it really was one of the orbs, but..cookies?He wasn't quite sure..why there was the scent of cookies, and he hoped it was the orb, but it was alot better than the last one atlest.He started torwards it, tail wagging at the tastey smell, and his stomach even growled lightly.

The scent grew stronger as he drifted towards where it was that the cookies, or maybe the orb scented like cookies, had to be waiting for him. Sitting, hidden. A plate sitting in the braches of a tree and with the plate were two things for Arith, the last of the orbs and the cookies that he smelled. Maybe a treat for dealing with and finding the other orbs? That or just because Orpheus had run out of ideas for scents to follow and used some of the cookies he had made for his sons...
It was one of the two, not that anyone would suspect.

Arith stopped as he could tell he was near the smell.As he lood up he saw, a plate?Arith blinked in surprise and pulled himseld up onto the branch under the plate, standing atop it to look at the plate.And indeed there sat some cookies, and an orb in the middle of them.He grinned and pucked up the plate, balancing it carefully over his head as he jumped down to the ground.
"I found it, and cookies!"He hurried back torwards Orpheus adn held the plate up, grinning widely as he plucked the orb form the plate and held it out, nose twitching slightly as he looked down at the plate.

"Awesome work Arith!" He said, walking forward to take the last of the sphere completing the set of five that the boy was supposed to find, "You have officiall passed your Skills Class." He quickly took something out of his pocket, "Along with those cookies this is your reward for doing so well." Hand opening to reveal a pretty ring with a red gem in it for the boy to take. Ooo, shiny!

Arith had already quickyl stuffed one of the cookies into this mouth before Orpheus mentioned them being a reward.He looked up, ears twitching as the teacher opened his hand to show a ring with a red gem."Oo, fa'koo!"He spoke around a moutful of cookie as he picked the ring up and looked it over, sniffing at it for a moment before gently pocketing it.He swallowed and grinned as he just really realized he had finished the class."Yay, I found them all!"He picked up another cookie and sniffed it before it too dissapeared into his mouth.
After a couple more dissapeared he set the plate down, pocketing the last of the cookies(much to Mia's displeasure as she would have to rid them of crumbs) and walked over to Mia."That was really fun!"
Mia grinned and ruffled his hair."You did great!"She looked at Orpheus and smiled, bowing her head slightly in a sort of thanks as she turned to leave.
Arith, still munching on the cookies tuned to follow, giving a small wave back at Orpheus as he did."Bye~"

"It was good to have you in class Arith." The red head said, watching him inhale the cookies.
As they headed offOrpheus gave them both a wave before he set to picking up the plate and the spheres, they would have to be washed off so that they could be used again for anoth class. Though the algae one it might end up getting 'retired' to the trash can he thought to himself as he scooped it up.
