There are so many myths and suspicions about them, i just find it strange, that every since ancient times there have been myths about them, all over the world, almost the same stories. now- people in ancient times couldnt really contact other countries, so how is is their stories are almost exactly the same? They aren't all exactly the same. Eastern vampires(From what I remember right this moment without referencing) Couldn't cross running water, hopped on one foot, and had to stop and count every grain of rice when spilled. A far cry from the western version. Also interesting to note is that vampires in western culture were depicted to be ugly and abhorant until hollywood got ahold of the image and changed it with Dracula. If you've ever seen the really really old source footage for Nasfaratu (sp?) that is generally closer to the visage portrayed until more recent times. It's only less than 100 years that vampires have had any real glamour traits attributed to them from what I've heard and read about.

themagikat im fascinated by the myths and personally think bram stoker is a genius, however i dont think i am one, whether it be true or not. that being said, the metallic taste of blood is good, lol Why do you sound so much like me? I'm fascinated by most myths and legends, vampires especially. I don't believe I am a vampire however I do love the taste of metal and it always has reminded me of blood and vice verce, you can usually see me going round with keys or a spring or something metal in my mouth.. I also bite people if they annoy me.. sweatdrop One guy (a friend) called me Liedia and I told him not to or I'd bite him, stupidly he thought it was an idle threat.. twisted I must stress I don't believe I'm a vampire.. Although a few others may..

(sarcasm is evident, hopefully) i dont think i am but i kinda have a different definition for vampire. i dont realy see the modern vampy to be something other than human or anything but i do think they have something in them that absorbs energy from their surroundings, blood being the biggest form of energy since ifs coming stright from one person to them in liquid form.
