If you post that blender link (which works ok for me o_O), be sure you include the fact that it's pretty hard to understand for someone who isn't already familiar with 3d programs (at least it was hard for me to understand sweatdrop )
I wasn't sure if you had this one yet or not, but i couldn't find it in the first post: http://www.polykarbon.com It has a bunch of really great tutorials, done by someone who is very good at drawing! I've used this site for quite a while! biggrin

Oh whoops, did i say first post? sweatdrop sorry, i know there's more than the first post. I'll look again for Polykarbon, too. smile By the way, TrueSpace 3.2 is a fabulous 3d program (much easier than Blender sweatdrop ) if you want to put that link up or whatever.... Though this is kinda getting out of the boundary of manga art.... o_O;; sweatdrop

I came across these manga analysis essays by Telophase some time ago. I found them very informative commentaries on narrative (as opposed to drawing/illustrative) techniques used in Naruto, Fruits Basket, Death Note, Saiyuki, and even a bit of DBZ and Blade of the Immortal.

Okay I'm realy stupid when it comes to computers and stuff so I have a couple of questions.
1.)I asked Momma if we had Adobe Photoshop (whatever that is) and She said yes. Now I found out all we have is Acrobat Reader 5 and Adobe Reader 6. What are those?
2.)I looked in 'Help' for the Adobe Reader 6 and it said something about layering and editing PDF files. What's a PDF file?
3.) How the heck do you scan a picture into the comp?
(I did check out those tutorials and links but I got confused. Like I said I'm stupid when it comes to computers)

I'm not very familiar with Acrobat Reader, so I don't really know all of its capabilities, but I think it's more for text than drawing/art. Photoshop is a program where you can draw on the computer. You can also draw with a program called MS Paint, but you have far fewer bells and whistles. Photoshop is rather expensive, so if you wanted to try something similar for free you could download a program called the GIMP. You can find it if you google it. 2. I don't really know how to explain a pdf file. I don't use it much. Maybe someone else can better explain that. When you're drawing on the comp, it's more common to save your files as jpg, png, gif or bmp. 3. To scan a picture, you need a scanner. A lot of times, printers come with scanners attatched to them. If you dont have a scanner, your local library might have one or you can check with some of your friends to see if they have one. Well, I hope that helped. Let me know if you have more questions. I'll do my best to answer them. 3nodding

But I'll se if we can afford the gas to go to the library this week and try that.
