Another voice. The poor creature lifted his head, growling in his throat, "Come... t'stare too, lad?" His face was contorted into a numb sort of grimmace, his eyes drooping sadly.

Sid jerked in surprise at the sound of Alec's voice. If he'd still been kneeling, he might have fallen into the water. Instead he just felt stupid for not noticing him sooner. He half turned so he could look between the two. "Look... uh... damn, this is awkward." He glanced over to Alec. "You said you had a what in your pants?"

The teen was surprised when the strange man spoke directly to him, on account of how listless and unresponsive he seemed. His words had been callous and cynical but Alec figured his instincts were failing him, because he didn't feel intimidated at all. How could he? The man looked like he was having tea with the Reaper. "A' d'neh." He replied amiguously in an attempt to evade insulting him and quickly turned his attention to the rather distressed Sid.
"Choco baw. Y'neh, candeh wi' choc'let?" Now that his teeth had finally replaced themselves from what he could tell, he could now enunciate like he used to which was a relief. He silently wondered how Sid was coping but kept his thoughts to himself.

"...Feckoff...." Billy's voice had lost it's spark, low and raspy in his throat. His eyes lowered to the water, his tentacles twitching. It seemed he was running on autopilot.

"You're really bad off, man..." Sid said. He even went as far as to touch Billy's shoulder.

Alec withheld the urge to laugh at the grumpy pile of sludge though he didn't exactly hold it against him. If he looked like that, he'd be pretty pissed off too. "Shite." He simply uttered and raised a brow at Sid. Last time he'd offer food to some strange guy sitting on a rock.

"M'fine... fine... bloody fine...." Billy's head lolled and he finally gave in to clumsily grope for his backpack hanging from it's stick.

Sid returned Alec's look with a shrug. "I don't think chocolate's gonna cut it..." He looked to where Billy was reaching and added, "Or cigarettes."
Showing any real concern was likely hurting his image, but it was hard to say how much of that still remained. "We could take you to the village, maybe get you something to eat... get the algae off, too." Bad idea, he winced as soon as the words left his mouth. "Or... or something."

The irish boy glanced between both men, not wanting to utter another comment just yet in case the jelly-like man had any strength left in him to give him a good wallop. Instead Alec merely sunk beneath the water up to his nostrils again, watching both with large, marble-like eyes.
Whoever the man was, he definetly looked worse for wear and he'd wait for his reaction to Sid's comment before making any other bright suggestions.

"I... said I was.... feckin' fine!" Billy hissed in a strangled voice befor suddenly black liquid bubbled from his mouth, dribbling down his chin. It was watery and pale, but still visibly ink.

Even a dribble of ink was enough to make Sid pull back. Up until then he'd forgotten about the bottle he'd brought along, which he nearly knocked over in the process. He caught it just before it fell over.
"Aw, bullshit," Sid said. "Look at you, man. I bet you couldn't even drag yourself three feet." He was a little too caught up between being annoyed and upset to be proud of the fact he hadn't tripped over a word in several minutes.
He glanced Alec's way once more, just to be sure he hadn't slipped away. Truth be told, he still wasn't exactly sure what to do.

Although Alec had considered taking off as the sight of the bubbling, black ooze nearly made him throw up his lunch, the teen had indeed remained at his safe distance away in the water. It was for this reason that he felt the courage to add in his two-cents in support of his aggitated friend who seemed oblivious to the fact that he was quickly becoming a pain in the arse to the rather touchy slug-man.
"Ye loo' li' death." He uttered flatly, still almsot entirely sunken underwater.
That had to help, right?

Billy shook his head, his expression going lax. What was the point? He was waiting to die- he could have company for that, he supposed. He watched his backpack for a few moments longer befor he settled back into the water lazily. "M'...fine."

Sid fell silent while he tried to think. He'd never dealt with something like this before, and least not in any situation where he'd been able to do anything. There was the incident in the village square. Before that... he wasn't sure. He seemed to recall something that happened in the 70's involving bad acid, but anything before '84 was hazy at times.
"Look..." He looked from Billy to Alec and back, unable to decide who to look at. "********, I don't know. Move, eat... Can't force you to do anything, can I? I- uh, we- should just leave..."
He slid one leg around to try and help push himself up, but it was the wrong leg. He winced and quickly slid it out from under him again. Even without that getting up was going to be a difficult, awkward process. ********. So much for empty threats. All Sid could do was act like he only meant to change position.

Unable to get any further rise out of the strange man, Alec waited for an inevitable outburst from Sid only to be met with something more probable and sufficient.
Assuming leaving was the ultimate plan, the teen agreed with the motion of leaving Billy to waste away in what definetly seemed like self-pity. "Ye... If 'e w'nts teh roll oveh n' die then theh's no point n' wastin' ye time, a' guess. Ay?" The sharkboy then rocked his torso until he was floating on his back, about to backstroke away until he realized Sid wasn't exactly following. Were they playing somesort of game or something..?
