Americans can be selfish, but so can everybody else.
I love al Green Day, and I can't choose a favourite but I definitely don't hate American Idiot.
God I laughed when I heard what the Killers guy said.
It was all part of their evil plan to record Milton Keynes...

I love Green Day. They're one of my favorite bands.
I liked American Idiot a lot, but I also like other albums by them.
I wouldn't want them to go back to the Dookie era though because American Idiot and their albums after that showed them maturing in their music. At least in my opinion.
I also believe American Idiot was not that politically charged of an album. The songs "American Idiot" and "Holiday" were the only politically charged songs on the album. The rest of the album follows a story of the characters, but it isn't anything political. Songs like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Give Me Novaciane", "Extraordinary Girl", "Wake Me Up When September Ends", and "Whatsername" are not political songs (at least in my opinion). The album Warning is more political in a social type of way. For example the songs "Warning", "Macy's Day Parade", and "Minority".

I like the album Kerplunk and the early stuff. American Idiot was just crap IMO.

No, but my mom owns Dookie and almost smashed her American Idiot CD after listening to the whole thing and how they have changed for the money.

I first learned about em when I heard 'Brainstew' off the Godzilla movie. So that was around their Insomniac era. I've been hooked ever since...but now I have to say I think they're selling out. They're getting old, they have families, their starting to follow the rules, etc. Every good band has to finish somewhere, I think this might be it. But ******** they rocked back when man. Me and my friend made this crazy trip to Ontario to see them when we were 16 and we didn't have anywhere to stay all week in the city, so we slept on subways and s**t. It was some kerzzzy s**t. Got a tattoo of their 'Warning' logo on my arm too... wink chk.
