I haven't played any of the Contra games, but I have heard a lot about it, highs and lows. But I can't imagine the NES Contra being as hard as Ikari Warriors for the NES, now that game is freaking hard. crying

Contra takes a taste for someone to truely enjoy it. As for it being a challenge, they all were pretty tough till about the PS2 days.. The series has sort of died out now. I personally love Contra for what it is, even through the bad times. It's one of the greatest challenges I've ever had in video gaming. But contra was a glorious game for the SNES and NES of course. One of my favorite memories ranks in there with Street Fighter or even Mario World and Tetris Attack or Kirby's avalanche.

I haven't played Contra in a long time and I don't see myself going back to it, sadly enough.

Now if only the whole world's population could drop like Japan's is supposed to... Ah well, the only Contra thing I own is a demo disc with the PS2 Contra on it. I got my butt handed to me in it, and had no will to fight back. I only got the disc/issue of EGM for the MGS3 demo anyway. sweatdrop

Well hopefully by next year will all be able to play the classic Contras on the Wii and bring back those angry memories of the past. xd
