Aysel nodded. That made much more sense! A bright grin broke out on the girl's face as she started back the way she came. "'ey're 'is way!" Aysel called back over her shoulder. Lessee... Right, left, left, right, straight...right? Hurrying down the corridors the luna moth tried to remember what direction the two had gone in.
Tara sighed shifting the tadpole from one arm to the other. "I'm sure we'll find them soon," she said trying to distract the little kid. "In the meantime, we can...sing.. That way if P'las is close he'll hear us." She smiled down at Nibal.

Peri followed after Aysel, easily keeping up with her quick strides with his longer legs. He was now begining to wonder who 'they' were. Who was Nibal with?
Nibal took his thumb out of his mouth to consider what Tara said. "Sing?" Hmmm, but he didn't know what to sing. "What?"

Coming to a halt, the luna moth looked around morosely. There wasn't supposed to be a staircase here! "Umm.. Mr. Perilas... I think we took a wrong turn." That annoying little kid. It had to be his fault.
For a moment the alien froze. Human kid songs..... "How about... Baa baa black sheep?" she finally managed to come up with. Or there was that one about a dinasaur that Aysel had liked....

Peri sighed. Did the girl even know where she was going? He certainly hoped so. Nope, apparently not. They'd run into a dead end. Though the man worked on the floor, he could still get turned around from time to time. Not to mention that he hadn't been paying that much attention to where the girl was leading him. His thoughts had been on Nibal.
"How that go?" Nibal asked. P'las hadn't taught him any songs. The boy suddenly got a thought. Maybe P'las didn't know any! He could then teach this one to the man! And maybe he could learn some of the songs Miss Kat sang all of the time and teach them to P'las as well!

"Mr. Perilas?" Aysel asked nervously. "I don't remember the way..." Aysel shifted from side to side.
Tara blinked. "Err... Baa baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full. One for Aysel, one for me, and one for Nibal in my arms. Baa baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full." She sang, changing the line in the song for Nibal."

Peri sighed. "Well, let's head back that way and see if we can find them..." The man turned and headed back down the hallway the way they came.
Nibal clapped his hands together happily. The song mentioned him! "Again!" He chimed, wanting Tara to sing the song to him again.

The luna moth followed along quietly, fuming to herself. This was just taking up time. She should have just stayed with her mom at this rate. Just then... Did she hear singing?
Awwwww.... So cute! "Baa baa black sheep ..." Tara continued singing out loud, nudging Nibal to sing along with her.

Nibal happily chimed in as prompted, though hardly knowing the words, he just mumbled stuff along to the tune.
Peri slowed a bit, his ears catching what Aysel's were. The man looked confused for a moment as the noise grew louder once Nibal chimed in, though the man couldn't tell who was singing. Or even that it was singing. But the noise was the only clue they had thus far. He stopped and tried to figure out where the singing was coming from.

The teacher slowed down a bit as the noise grew louder. So it wasn't just her ears playing tricks on her. Stopping for a moment she looked around. There weren't any adjoining halls nearby so perhaps they were just down the corridor and out of sight. "C'mon!" Aysel nearly shouted with a slightly dark grin on her face. Finally she could get that little leech away from *her* mommy.
The mage hugged Nibal, trying hard not to coo over the kids cuteness. Although she had better hearing than most, the song and the sheer adorability of the helpless child (always a guarentee to get the mage to melt) served as quite a bit of a distraction.

Nibal grinned as Tara hugged him. He liked hugs! Hugs made him feel all warm and good inside and he liked that feeling. This was a good person. She was singing songs, as well as teaching them to him, and also hugging. Not to mention holding him. Life could not be better for the boy.
Peri walked quickly down the hallway, hoping that the sound wasn't echoing so much that it would confuse them even more. Things were starting to look a bit more familar to the man, though, as they got closer to where his classroom and office were.

The noise was much louder and clearer now. Without a second thought to the poor teacher she had dragged on the wild goose chase Aysel took off. "MOMMY!" she shouted as she hurried down the corridor and around a corner. There they were allright. Her mom and that little kid. "I 'ound Mr. Perilas!" she shouted, latching onto her mom's free arm. A small glare was sent darting at the annoying brat who had taken her spot.
"This way!!" she cried tugging on the arm.
Tara beamed at Nibal and Aysel. See? Everything worked out even if you just had to wander the hallways until it did. "Wonderful Aysel! But next time don't you dare think of running off." The woman gave Nibal a one armed hug.
"See that sweetling? You're dad's just up ahead," the mage commented. "We'll see him soon."

Peri jogged down the hallway after the girl who'd darted off. Well, if Nibal was with the girl's mother and the girl seemed to have found her mother. That meant that Nibal was just up ahead.
Nibal frowned as the girl glared at him again. Not nice! But... "P'las?" The boy's voice was hopeful and the tadpole looked up ahead.
Just then, Peri puffed his way around the corner. He wasn't exactly in the best shape. "P'las!" Nibal cried out, joyfully, wriggling in Tara's arms. The kid's father came over and took the boy, hugging him for a moment.
"You shouldn't run off like that, Nibal. I didn't know where you were!"
Nibal frowned. "Bor'd..."

As soon as Nibal had been removed from her mother's arms, Aysel clung to the woman. Carefully she placed herself between the teacher and her mommy, burying her face in the mage's legs.
"Mommy..." she whimpered, trying to get the woman's attention.
Reluctantly Tara gave the boy up. "I'm glad we found you two," she said as she wrapped her arms around the luna moth.

Peri turned his attention back to Tara and Aysel. "Thank you both. I just got this little guy recently, so we're still figuring things out, like apparently the fact that he gets bored easily." Nibal squirmed a bit. He couldn't help it. P'las' office was dull. No toys in there at all.

Tara nodded with a slightly strained smile. "Some toys work. Playdough is usually fun and entertains them for a while." Aysel frowned as her mommy still continued to pay more attention to the other parent and kid than her. Changing tactics slightly the child pulled back. "The egg?" she prompted.
Tara nodded. "Ah yes, we were on the way to see Aysel's egg. Do you perhaps know where it is?"
