He slowly reached out, and grabbed it softly. "..Okay..." He stood up as well, keeping a small smile on his face.

As Ginseku took Kasai's hand, they both faded out of sight, reapearing a second later in the main courtyard of the school. Still holding on to his hand, she drug him into the dining hall for some breakfast.
((You can post next in the dining hall ^_^ ))

Glissa soared down over the tree tops. It was too dense for her to land through, so she tucked in her wings, landed on the top of a pine tree, and slid down the trunk of the tree. She promptly pulled out her katana and began slicing down whole trees with a single swing. Once she had felled enough tree's to leave an open circle of about 50 feet in radius, she re-sheathed her katana, and began lifting the trees with her bare hands and hurtling them off over the tree tops and into the dense forest with thunderous bangs and crashes. The open area was now littered with large flat tree stumps, perfect for standing on. She plopped down on one of the stumps and waited for the rest of the class to assemble.

James, being eager to get to the actual working with her weapon, rushed into the forest. Although something in the pit of her stomach told her something weird was wrong with that place, she entered and followed the noise of Glissa's clearing. She came upon the place and nodded to Glissa before plopping down on the ground a short distance off.

Somehow; Kathlyn managed to find her way to her classmates before Okami or the teacher. She stood and watched the group for a moment before looking up into the nearby trees. She closed her eyes and tossed herself up onto one of the tree limbs nearest to her and rested there crouching on her knees, her head resting on top of her hands.

James nodded to Kathlyn as well once she had appeared. Now all they were waiting on were Okami and Shinkirou. 'The only good thing about waiting for them is that I don't have to deal with Okami's tude,' James thought to herself.

((This is before everyone else had arrived, because Shinkirou had gone ahead.)) Shinkirou dashed ahead, enjoying the wind. She stopped as she heard someone killing the animals, not just them killing each other. She located the noise to find it was Okami, slashing everything in sight. "Okami! Control yourself!" She said. Okami stopped and looked at her. "That discussion in class......I couldn't bear it any longer." Shinkirou walked up to her and knocked Okami out with one of her fans. She put the fan back on her back, and carried Okami until she found the others. "Sorry. I had to take care of something. Anyway, let's begin. Position yourself in front of a tree, and take out your katanas!" She said. She waited for everyone to that and she postioned herself so. She took out her white katana. It glittered in the sunlight and elegant markings shone as she took it out. If you happened to read elven script it said, "This sword is blessed to thy wind maidan of the night. May her hair ever shine white and her spirit ever stay bright."

((how could shinkirou be ahead of people that left before her??)) James positioned herself as Shinkirou had said and waited for further instructions. It was finally time to do something. She glanced over at Okami, who looked a little rough around the edges at the moment. Something between her and Shinkirou must have happened because they arrived together and now Okami looked a little different than what James remembered.

Glissa let out a sigh, in which you could hear a distinctly muffles 'finally'. She pushed on her knees and jumped off the stump, landing just a foot in front of it and facing Shinkirou. She reached down and unsheathed her katana, slashed it through the air a couple of times with one hand, then placed both hands on the handle and held it at the ready in front of her.

Okami awoke and stood up. "I'm sorry about my actions. It shouldn't have happened." She said as she bowed in respect. During the time she was knocked out, she had had a dream. "Hey! Can I play?" Said a six-year-old girl. "Hey! It's that weird black-eyed girl. No! We don't want to play with you!" The girl started to cry while the other kids played. "Hey! That woman has wold ears! Kill her! Kill her husband! Where's their child!?" The girl ran and hid in the shadows, and watched her parents died. When night fell, the girl started crying. She ran out of the village and fell in the snow, crying still. She hugged the snow; it was her only friend. She found she could control it before and she made a fort. She heard footsteps outside the fort and crawled. She saw the shadow of a woman above her and she looked up. The woman had white hair and was in a pretty black kimono. "The village over there.....they killed my parents." The girl still cried. "About your parents, I'm sorry. They're gone. But I can take care of you. How does that sound? Come on, let's get you somewhere where you can rest." She picked up the girl and carried her, hugging her all the way. The girl felt happy at that moment, happy that someone loved her, someone would take care of. Of course she'd miss her parents, but maybe she could get a new start. Okami thought about that point in her past. She truely had felt happy then, and she had forgotten that. She had forgotten the debt she paid to Shinkirou. She took out her sword and got into position. "I'm also sorry about how I acted before. I forgot that I owe you for saving my life. But now I remember." Shinkirou looked at her surprised, and then she smiled. " Alright then. Everyone slash at the tree at a slanted angle. Right now your point is to hit the tree, not chop it into half, Glissa...."She demonstrated this herself, and walked away from the tree to supervise.

Kathlyn nodded taking her place in front of the tree. The drew the blade; feeling is center of balance and slashed at the tree at an angle as Shinkirou instructed. Kathlyn watched the blade pass swiftly through the wood and made sure it didn't go too deep. Once she had completed this task; she remained silent and her eyes withdrawn; waiting for more instructions.

Glissa let out a disgruntled sigh and turned to face the closest tree. She walked up slowly, blade clasped in her hands, and rested the edge against the side of the tree. She swung the blade back a little ways and then cut into the tree at an angle. The katana sliced through the hardened wood like butter, and Glissa had to purposely stop her swing. The blade had gone half way through the tree. It was so hard to control her strength. This was certainly going to be a tough class. She sighed again.

Kathlyn's eyes found the blade and she began to feel calmer. She was trained as a child with a weapon much like this. It reminded her of her mother...her beautiful, calm, cunning, happy mother. She had never once seen her mother cry, but although her mother rarely frowned the clearest memory of her face; was one with a frown.
Screams came from the forrest, the sword still in my grasp, Claude sitting just a foot or so behind me. He's so little; so scared...and there's mom; her face filled with a sudden realization; sudden fear. She started toward me; but then there was fire everywhere; screaming, blood. "GRAB YOUR BROTHER! RUN TO THE FORREST!" Her voice echoed and as Claude's little hand slipped in mine.
he's so slow...I tried to carry him...but I tripped. I have to save him. I have to at least save my little brother! Claude! Run! RUN! Claws sinking into my arm, dragging me from him...Please....Don't take my brother....Mommy...help me
Silently Kathlyn began to cry. Cool tears slipped down her face and fell the ground if I had just been stronger...just been faster....

Okami took her sword out and cut into the tree about a quarter into it, controlling her strength. Although she didn't like her all that much, Shinkirou was a very good teacher. Shinkirou surveyed the area. "Good job, everyone. Go easy Glissa. Although slinging around a sword is effective when you have enough strength, precision is needed. Nice job Kathlyn, especially considering this is your first time." She also leaned alightly towards her and whispered. " I'd advise you wipe away your tears before someone else notices. I highly doubt you want anyone to notice. We can talk after class if there's something I can help with." She said it softly, almost so she couldn't hear. "Now try to cut into the tree only about an inch. We'll start with precision. If you kill someone with one hit, in a vital organ then you probably didn't use much energy. Killing with one hit is very useful, especially if there is one of you and a lot of the enemy. At any given moment an enemy could attack, and there could be more than one enemy, so always try to save your energy.

James began swiping at the tree, making sure to have precision as well. She made one simple cut and sheathed her sword. James walked over and examined her slice carefully. 'About an inch, perfect. All of this basic work is so boring. What's the point of learning something I've already been taught. Sensei would think this a waste of time. Maybe it will be better later, once we've moved on to more challenging tasks.' James walked back to her spot and once again swung at the tree.
