Personally, my mom is totally anti-vampire, and she almost didnt want me to read it, so Im not letting her.
But I dont see a reason why not, its not explicit or anything, its a great story.

Wow, I wish I had a mom like some people in here do gonk
My mom is EXTREMELY over-religious, she detests anything that is "demonic" (which obviously includes vampires), and sincerely? I don't think she's ever had any kind of love like Edward+Bella's in her life. gonk
Definitely NOT letting my mother even touch that book.
But wait a second... my mother doesn't even speak english xd

I shouldn't have mentioned it to my mom. She read it and completely didn't understand the awesomeness that is Twilight. She thinks its dull. Makes me so sad. crying

When I bought Twilight my mom read the back and she's all, "I didn't know you like books like this..." I wasn't sure whether she was referring to the romance or the vampires. I don't care- she's not touching my Twilight. If she started liking Edward or something, I'd have to stop liking either her... or Edward. eek Besides, it's been a year since I first tried to force The DaVinci code on her- she hasn't even touched it.

I get my mom to read any book I thoroughly enjoy. She's an avid reader like me and my sisters. XD
I've gotten her to read some pretty explicit books. o.o;; (Terry Goodkind = Sex, blood and destruction, oh my!)
But I have yet to get her to read Twilight, I've been trying to bug her to though. I'll turn her around to it, just like I did with other books she was reluctant to read. Her initial reaction when I told her about was, "I've already read the Anne Rice books." >.<; I love Anne Rice's novels, but they're not Twilight.
But then this is my mother, I say there's no harm in trying.

Ohmygod, yes. Force your mother to read that book! Ever since I've read Twilight, I've been shoving it in there faces. <33 It's just not one of those books that you can ignore.

Heh, my parents arn't as big of fans of reading as I am. But if my mom was interested in it, why not? I wouldn't stop her. She'd rather watch a movie. razz

My mom's read it and New Moon and she loves both.
Of course, I got my love for fantasy books from somewhere. (My dad's more into Sci-fi, but he likes fantasy books too.)
Hmm, now I want to trick my father into reading them...just like I still need to trick him into watching Gravitation. Herm...

You should let your mom read it. My mom read it and she likes it and the second book. But it got kinda annoying when my mom kept on stealing it from my bookcase and I didn't know where it went. But other than that, it was fun to totally bug her if it was good or not ^.^
