Please, stare that sequal sucked out all the magic a true Disney film is suppose to be. There are other bad sequals Disney did, but this is the worse.

The only good sequals were The Rescuers and The Lion King sequals, I'm sure there are others, but those are on the top of my list.

This was one of the sequals I really didnt like. It wasnt a new story, it was just new characters acting out the same story, just reversed. If I wanted the same story, I would have just watched Little Mermaid again. I hated how Ariel kept her daughter away from the sea, despite the fact her whole family, whom she loved, just because she didnt want her to find out she was half-mermaid or whatever. It would have been better if it had been a family adventure, or a new story with the new characters.

Why would she seperate herself and her family from the sea, when that was were she was before she fell in love with Eric.

Why would she seperate herself and her family from the sea, when that was were she was before she fell in love with Eric. They wanted to keep Melody away from the sea, so that she wouldn't be hurt by Ursula's sister. Also, Ariel wanted to leave the sea for Eric in the first movie already, so staying on the land to protect their daughter isn't really all that out-of-character. But it is a shame that it's just the same story in reverse. Still kind of cute, though.

I thought it would have all been safer for Melody if Ariel had just told her about Morgana instead of hiding it. Ariel could have told Melody her whole entire story of her deal with Ursula and so on. If Melody ever felt brave or curious enough to confront Morgana, Sebastian would have been there to keep an eye on her, or Ariel's sisters or Triton's. If Melody ever got curious to go and find out about Morgana and so on...
Mind, if perhaps Melody knew all these things and decided to stay away there might not have been a story... which in my opinion, would have been best if the sequal was never created at all. Or perhaps, Morgana could have taken human form and tried a different approach to get to Melody...I don't know if I'm actually leading anywhere... But I was trying to observe the film at a different angle...or attempting it, don't think I got v. far but oh well question exclaim
bit of a waste of time!! rofl mrgreen pirate xp xp blaugh

I have to say the first one had better music and was just better all around. But the sequeal wasn't so bad. I was so excited when I saw the preview, cause the Little Mermaid is my fav Disney Movie.

I must admit, the only reason I watched it was because of Tip's voice actor, Max Casella. The story bored me a little bit, but the music kept me there, and Tip. (>O>);

The Bijoux Anyone here like the sequal to the little mermaid? It's actually one of the disney sequals I really liked. My favorite character in this one Morgana and my favorite song is "For a Moment" Yes! Little Mermaid, Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, and Aladdin have had the best sequals. Everything else is .....eh.
