Her tears were enough, as painful as it was to see such a sight the grin which had spread over her maw had told him what words failed to do. Closing his orbs for a moment, the male smiled, flicking them back open to capture her gaze once more. Lifting a paw up to brush away the stray tear trailing down her cheek, he found himself nuzzling the spot where his paw had just been.
"Hey....we nearly forgot about our dinner." Chael grinned, standing up slowly before turning and taking the few steps back towards the mango's and oranges. Laying down behind their fruit, Chael used his paw to drag the fruit closer as he then bumped an orange and mango to his side where he hoped he would be accompanied by Kiua. With his teeth, the young adult gently peeled back the skin of the orange, which left a slightly bitter taste in his mouth. This cause him to make a rather sour expression before glancing up to Kiua thoughtfully.
"Heh, looks like we're abou to get our finale..." The malu motioned with a paw as the last section of the sun was drifting below the mountian range, the skies beginning to darken and turn a radiant red.
