"Yes I did know that actually. I have a few pets at home." the woman said with a nod, sitting down on the floor, back to the couch, so she could watch the proceedings.

The baby and the toddler were kinda cute but the little drow didn't seem to like Rouge very much. Oh well, you win some ya lose some. Not everyone would like the tall lady. Heck her girlfriend even told her to shrink quite a lot. Which wasn't something Rouge was keen to do as she didn't like people being taller than her.

Now being on the floor she got a rather nice look at Neveah's wings. "Lovely wings, Miss." she commented. They were like Tandy's only prettier.

"Wand baby?" Aurrek repeated, glancing at the boy in his arms for a moment before looking back at the one who had introduced herself as Kishi, then shook his head. "I don't think so, but then I'm not quite sure exactly what you're talking about. This one came to me like this, wrapped up in his blanket with a glass of water embroidered on it."

Holding the boy a bit awkwardly, like a toddler who wanted to take her baby doll with her everywhere but was not quite sure how to carry it most comfortably, Aurrek turned down the edge of the boy's blanket to show off the little threadwork picture. "His name is Kelreid. I got to pick that, at least, even if receiving him was... a bit of a surprise." He sighed heavily and leaned his head back on the back of the couch, looking up at the ceiling.

After a moment's silence, the God of Hourglasses decided he should probably introduce himself. "Oh, and my name is Aurrek, by the way," he said, glancing at everyone in the area and smiling slightly. He had resolved coming to Gaia that he would avoid talking about being a god with the people here; Aurrek figured it would save him lots of trouble to just leave that part out.

Lips parted slightly in sheer amazement, Kelreid stared at all the people shapes. He watched everyone so intently that he forgot to swallow, until a little stream of drool started to run out of the corner of his mouth and onto his chin. And he did not even really seem to notice that, either.

Rouge waved half heartedly at Malen, eyes having gone a bit half-lidded. This cold weather had been getting to her all day. She was the child of a being from a light realm and a fire being/energy being crossbreed. She did NOT take well to cold areas. They tended to make her very drowsy and tempermental.

As it was she'd been excited to be here again and had just finished a bunch of sugar-which was much nicer in this realm than in some realms in her world- and caffine but now her sugar and excitement had ebbed away and she was starting to act a bit subdued.

Note to self, temperatures in this realm during the autumn and winter months are to be taken as if one were to be in Tsumika during the solstice. Dress appropriately

With a slightly less energetic tone than before she mumbled "I wonder what I'd get..."

His pale lips curling a bit in disgust, Aurrek tugged a corner of Kelreid's blanket free and mopped the corner of the infant's mouth as carefully as possible, as though the baby drool would eat the skin off of his hands if he so much as touched it. Maybe like it might eat through the blanket, too. Once the boy's face was clean again, though, the god tucked the blanket corner back where it had been, and adjusted his hold on the Sin'aeis boy to cradle him more comfortably in both arms.

"Yeah, I've already gotten a good deal of the loud and fussy, and a nice reminder of the messy just now, too." He glanced down at the child, half-closing his orange left eye. Then he smiled faintly and looked up again. "I don't think I've ever had a chance to have a kitten, but I imagine they're about like this little tot, though. If only he would lick himself clean and save me the horrors of bathing him."

The hourglass deity glanced over at Neveah and nodded to her as well. "Nice to meet you, too." Then he added a bit awkwardly, "And, er, thank you. I guess I do have kind of a neat name? My, uh, parents picked it for me." Was that a common compliment for mortals to exchange?

One of the person shapes with dark skin was making talking noises that sounded funny. Kelreid let out a little laugh and tried to mimic Zasalamel's sounds, resulting in some nonsensical burbling, more giggles, and ultimately more drool.

Kishi sighed and slid off her chair ignoring herprotestign body. once on the flor the crawled halfway over to Zah " sokay zah really, like your mom said you don't have to use english all at once. It was mean of me to ask of of you I'm sorry ok? Kishi is really sorry."

Zah was once of the first shy and not quite trusting wisps Kishi had made friends with. As they both grown up she'd becoem closer to him thinking of him as a good friend one she baked cookie for and wrestled with. She had other friends to be sure but most of them were differen't they didn't connect with her and so she wasn't about to lose her best friend becuase she was being too demanding.

Malen just shook his head the atmosphere of the lobby was stifiling. " Alright everyone park yourself on a peice of furniture. I need to liven you all up a bit which means warm drinks alcoholic or non take your pick as well as a small snack."

Malen had been raised in a home where people where always bustling in an out as well. People came in with emotional and literal baggage and left with only one type. His mothers had taught him that shared meals lightened hearts, warm food and friendly hosts made people open up so they enjoyed life abit more. From the looks of things people here needed a bit on enjoying to do.

Looking at Aurrek he smiled softly " If you'd like a break I can hold mr sweet slobber monster there, I used to cook while holding Kishi so I've got the experience."

Neveah giggled softly at te way Aurrek went about dealing with the baby. Geez, did she look like that once? Fluttering her wings a little bit, she wandered over to Aurrek. "You get used to the drool...its not gonna hurt you." She commented nonchalantly, peering down at the baby. Babies were fun when they weren't yours, she mused.

Zasalamel nodded a bit to Rouge when she correctly guessed what he had been trying to say. Since he was already near the woman, he edged a little closer almost to the point of leaning against her. Still, he wasn't paying attention enough to know Rouge wasn't his Ilhar.

He stared quietly at Kishi when she apologized, then went to rub his eyes to clean them of tears. He wasn't crying, really he wasn't! Drow Warriors don't cry! Nononono crying! He smiled at Kishi, then turned and noticed the baby who was babbling and laughing. He grinned at the baby instead, waving his arms. "Echk Lerg!" He chirped out gleefully. Hi, Baby!

Then, Rouge said the magic word. If he didn't notice her before, he noticed her now. Though he was practically leaning against her, he stared at the pirate lady as if he were seeing her for the first time. "Kookiehs? Kookiehs!" He wanted a cookie!

"Green Tea's good for the soul." The Butterfly woman jokingly hinted at Malen, since their last meeting was over Green Tea as well.

Kelreid flailed enthusiastically at Zasalamel and blew little bubbles of baby drool.

"Fooooo," he exclaimed with a cheerful baby grin, and stuck his tongue out slightly.

Aurrek glanced at Malen, then down at his Bundle of Joy, then at Malen again. Idly, he wondered if the people who had given him the baby had any rules against his allowing other people to hold it. And then he noticed there was more drool.

The hourglass god carefully mopped off the baby's mouth again, and started to lift him ever-so-gently towards Malen. "If you'd like to, I'm sure Kelreid would like meeting someone else besides me or Nordri."

At mention of his name, Nordri the crab, who had been quietly hiding under the sofa at Aurrek's feet ventured to peek out at the other people in the room. He was likely big enough to avoid getting stepped on, especially since his white shell stood out against the carpet, but lots of big feet still intimidated him slightly. Little black eyes on stalks swiveled back and forth, nearsightedly scanning the people in the room as the crab's curiousity gradually got the better of him.
