Hania pranced around a little more before he joined in with his son's laughter. "Fine, fine. Oh, does it really? That's good to know." Hania then made a mockery of puffing out his chest and standing stiffly before he couldn't take it anymore and laughed again. "I'll stick to your teasing; it's easier! Okay, maybe not in that sense, but yes, I know what you mean." He eyed his dark brown offspring, and grinned. "But you being emotion as you were before wasn't so manly and mature, now was it? But in the end, you proved your worth for Astia. I'm proud of you, Bairn."
He cocked his head at his son curiously. "Now, that's news. You? Wanting to be like Bliss? After from what I've heard from Aruna, I thought you despised this Bliss character, whom of course I've never met in my life." He then grinned before laughing aloud at Bairn's expression over his question about grandchildren. He was slightly caught off guard by Bairn's next question about him and Mahiri. A glint of hope entered his eyes, however. "I wish. More offspring from your old dad would please him so much. And you actually might get a younger brother--wouldn't that be nice? Though I can hear Aruna groaning about how she'd just have more baby younger brothers and sisters... "Though I believe she got along really well with you and Artemis, Bairn. Especially you."

Bairn couldn't remember a time when he had laughed this hard before-let alone the fact that he was doing it with his father. The one soquili besides mother that he didn't want to laugh in front of. It just gave them a shimmer of hope that their spirit and personalities lay deep inside their children still. Or...atleast that's what Mahiri said to him.
Sighing when Hania spoke about his emotional state, the younger stallion tried to push all those memories away. Not anymore, He told himself looking directly at his father. That was the past, not anymore.... Bairn began to speak, "Thank you father. I guess....I guess you're right that was very unmature and wrong of me. But I cannot help but think if that never happened, I would have still not realized how much I care for her, or her me."
The younger stallion only shook his head at Hania's next comment. "No, not in every way possible. I just mean the freedom he has, and the carelessness for the world. Gosh, if I ever turned to be that disgusting excuse for a stallion I'd probably run away and never come back. And yes, Aruna's most definatly right."
Bairn laughed again, listening to Hania's words about more offspring. Just the thougth of younger brothers or sisters made the young stallion grin. He wanted a bigger family, so the chance of everyone getting back together could be higher. And he just loved the idea of protecting more little ones. "Yes, a younger brother would please me. You and mother did a wonderful job raising us, the next batch would be just as well." Bairn grinned at the Aruna comment, his sister and him had in fact grown up really close...it was like they were best friends...even though they were siblings. "Haha, I can see that. Hmmm....Aruna would go nuts. And yes, we seemed to have gotten along perfectly, haven't we? I wonder how that worked out."
