The brunette glanced to the spot where her Vaporeon had been standing, but soon found her blue form running towards the Pokecenter doors happily.

"Sheesh, don't wait up for me or anything," Chloe shrugged, following suit. The two entered the Pokecenter, and soon found themselves situated for the evening after grabbing a quick bite to eat.

Chloe headed up the stairs, yawning slightly as she opened the door to the room she'd be using, she soon found herself fast asleep, Layla curled up contentedly, taking up most of the pillow.

Chloe stretched, yawning as she pulled the covers back over her head as she saw the sunlight out the Pokecenter window.

"Meh," she mumbled, growling slightly at the offensive light that had awoken her.

Layla yawned, stretching out to her full length as she woke slightly faster than Chloe. Regarding her trainer, before leaping from the bed to land on the carpet below.

"Vaaa!" she chirped, ready to go.

It took a little more coaxing, but eventually Chloe left the sanctuary of her bed to venture outside the Pokecenter, the call for food having much to do with her decision.

After grabbing a bite to eat, and grabbing something for Kureno and Kaze as well, the two made their way out of Hakutai, getting to a grassy area where the other two larger pokemon could eat.

"Alright guys, time to come out!" Chloe called, throwing the Chrizard and Pidgeot's balls from her belt. Emerging from their Pokeballs, the two settled to the ground after stretching their wings for a bit.

The four of them spent a while out in the grassy field for a bit getting a bite to eat, Chloe mornfully looking at her nearly empty wallet.

"Suppose we'll be having berries for a while," she laughed ruefully. "Unless I can get some cash some way."

After eating, they spent some free time exploring the route that led from Hakutai, Kaze and Kureno enjoying the freedom of flying without restraint.

Chloe watched them safely from the ground, Layla shivvering every time she recalled the whirlwind that Kureno had summoned to carry them from Saffron.

"Come on now, it wasn't that bad, was it?" Chloe laughed, watching the Vaporeon's behavior. Layla only responded by shuddering once more.

"Vaaa..."

Settling down into the grass, Chloe pulled out her sketchbook, absently doodling the Charizard and Pidgeot at play. If what they were doing could be considered "play." It was more of an all-out contest to see who could fly, dive, soar, and loop the fastest, the two creating a zig zag pattern in the skies above the two landbound occupants of the field.

Occasionally, Kaze's roar or Kureno's triumphant screech would echo above the din, giving a hint at who was winning that particular contest.

Chloe stretched, glancing absently back down to her paper, before putting it back in her bag. Standing, she wiped the grass from her pants before rousing Layla, who was napping beside her.

"Va?" Layla inquired, stretching as well to work the kinks out of her muscles.

"Ready for a bit of exploring?" Chloe asked with a grin.

Kaze and Kureno, who were somehow managing to still find the energy within themselves to compete, were still soaring overhead.

"Hey, what's up, Lay?" Chloe inquired, following her gaze. Spotting the other trainer, she grinned.
