SefieGainsborough Since there don't appear to be any fans here... TifaxRufus. I HATE that couple. Rufus is the head of Shinra, which Tifa HATES. WHY would she love him? Besides, their values are so DIFFERENT. And their personalities...phew, this couple strikes me as "Hay! Dey luk gud togetha!"
I guess what really made me hate hate the coupling is that on the site I saw the pictures on, there was A LOT of anti-CloTi things... Like Tifa beating Cloud to death, and Cloud cutting off her head with blades and all that....
You show me a good enough reason for liking it and I'll consider it as a pairing I'll support at the very least, but never one I"ll become a fan of.
See, I hate, but even that hate wasn't very hateful...
--- As for you, Foxxy... Scarlet basically, you know what, I'm not even going to sugar coat it.... Scarlet basically whored off her body to get herself up the work ladder, you know? Sold her body to the higher ups so she could get a job there as the weapons technician...
She was smart, no doubt... But I say Tifa isn't a whore, which is undoubtedly true, but Scarlet just whored her body off all the way.

Jhay-R Great... The greatest day of my life ending with me getting pissed... Ah God, the room of love with a topic of hate... I dunno, I just feel like a really big flaming argument is gonna come up at one point.... Now, the AeriSeph and Yuffentine thing, if you really don't get it, at least read the discussions people spent hours thinking of and hours typing, giving up hours of their lives they'll never get back to try and keep from people yelling or bashing their couplings.... Which is why I just feel like stabbing a person when I see anti-just about every couple. Like, I can understand if you're a Cleris and don't like CloTi, or vice-versa, but no need to be hating on the other coupling. Just makes you a pompus jackass, really... Love and let love, that's just how life is supposed to be... Anyway, I have only got a few couplings I can say I hate. And, with reasonable cause in my view. The couplings I truly can't stand is ANYONE with the Don. I just get the urge to put a guy through a table and throw them into a pit of black flames when I see someone make a doujinshi of the Don raping Aeris, Tifa, or Yuffie. Other than that, seeing Red or Cait Sith bestiality makes me angry, not as much as the Don, but very, very damned angry. Well man, I didn't mean to ruin your day but why did you come here? Just saying, I wasn't flaming, I just said some couples don't make sense to me.

I basically agree with foxy on the point that I support anything as long as there's a good arguement for it.
There's really no couples that I hate. Some I prefer more than others though, but I don't hate any.

Hnn... Pairings I have a particular dislike for? Well, it would be any pairing that is written so poorly that looking at the fic would make me have a siezure and go into shock, if not kill me instantly.
Then again, since every pairing has at least one or a hundred of those, that isn't really being fair now, is it? xd
Depending on how a pairing is presented, I can learn to love it, or fall in love with it instantly. When I first got into the fandom in '98, I wasn't to keen on Cloti OR Cleris, because there were so many obnoxious and poorly written blobs on the internet that failed to even be a story unto themselves (technically, they're still here, but there are more good ones out nowadays). However, reading a few, very well written fics changed my mind. I was a Yuffentine addict in my early years as a fan since I was reading quality works like "Sink to the Bottom With You," but after reading some "YUFIEE 'nD VinCY GeT TOgeTHER! <3," I had second thoughts. sweatdrop
I've actually read some very good VincentxMarlene fics. I love it when their relationship is portrayed as more of a paternal relationship, as opposed to romantic, becuase the paternal one is so cute that I can almost feel my teeth rotting inside my mouth as my eyes read the fic. xd As for the romantic relationship, I can tolerate it as both an older Marlene (which would, in that case, not be *****, should she be of legal age for consent), AND a younger Marlene (which would, in this case, BE *****). So long as the author is able to keep the characters IN character (as in character as possible given the circumstances of the fic), then I can like it. I know that it's not everybody's cup of tea, which is fine by me, and I know plenty of reasons WHY the pairing would not and could not work.
This might have been said before, but it's not molestation, but *****. ;D Molestation is when you fondle/touch something or someone, like how sex predators have been known to molest their victims before raping them, or how someone might gleefully molest their keyboard (translation: type furiously, with vigor) in a hot debate. ***** is when someone has a romantic and/or sexual interest in a person who is not considered to be the legal age of consent in their particular country, or if the person that the individual romanticizes about is unusually young.
Usually, what I really hate is when people will ASSUME things about me, when they've never even chatted with me before, based off of what I've read maybe once or twice in my entire lifetime as opposed to what I actually do or read on a regular basis. You know, kind of like how if I read and enjoy a VincentxMarlene fic where Marlene is a minor, someone automatically assumes that I'm a sick freaky old man who likes little girls/boys that sits behind their computer all day, drooling at inappropriate pictures of children when I'm not doing something else. Ya know, stuff like that... stare Or if I read a fic with rape in it, then somehow someone things I'm either a rapist or a supporter of rape as punishment or something stupid like that, since rape is one of the worst, if not THE worst things you can do to a person.
But beyond that, it's more often the fans that annoy me, not the pairings themselves. You know, the ones that blab nonstop about how their pairing is so awesome, and how it reigns supreme above all others, even though there is little to nothing to support it, or something like that.
But if there was one pairing that isn't really my cup of tea (at least, as of now, since I either read nothing on it or see too much of it everywhere that is poorly done), that would be SephirothxCloud. Most of the fic for this pairing is actually very badly written, as is the way of a popular pairing in fandom. They are usually portrayed WAY out of character, the author/artist somehow turns Cloud into a ten year old girl, and it's usually about the two shagging one another, in some place, time, and manner, usually for no other reason than to see them snog.
In addition, every time I'd look for some good yaoi fics for Final Fantasy VII, this pairing would always pop up when I wanted my CidxVin fix. Curse you, SephxCloud, for clogging my search results! *shakes fist, for she has wasted hours in searching because of this*
That, and some of their fangirls are kind of... spooky. As in, I'd rather face off against Pyramid Head from Silent Hill fame than hang around with some of these folks. Thankfully, not all of them are like that, just a good number of them, usually the younger ones.
... Did I mention that they have a lot of badly written fic, too? They do have some good ones, which is awesome, but there are so many bad ones that I wouldn't even DARE click on one of them, 'lest I want to be slapped in the face with badfic.
But yeah, other than SephxCloud, there's no other pairing I hold a particular dislike for.
And yes, SephirothxKadaj would technically be masturbation, unless one of the other renmants (Yazoo or Loz) were to turn into Sephiroth. But then, it'd be SephirothxYazooxKadaj, or SephirothxLozxKadaj, which would be like a threesome, except not.
Gah, those three boys are so confusing. xd

Ah, I'm no god, no matter what I do or say. sweatdrop Just stating what I've learned by spending years and years in the fandom. It's funny what you'll notice if you pay more attention to what goes on around in a fandom.
As for what Jhay-R said, I can see what you mean, and I was worried about the exact same thing when I first saw this thread. Just a note to everybody, that if they do post something stupid like "Such and such pairing sucks, and anyone who likes that is a **)(*&$(*#$" or other things of that ilk are going to be reprimanded. Read the rules and follow them, and ye shall not get banned.
You can still say you dislike a pairing, since there's nothing wrong with that. ;D Thus far, nobody's done anything like in the example above, so it's all good.

You know that I used my Grandparents as a living example as to why it could work. The extremely different personalities, and the huge age difference... And the fact that both my grandpa and Vincent were not ALWAYS cold. They used to have a warm side to them, which you can see in past pictures and DoC respectively. Those two, Beth for my Gramps and Yuffie for Vinny, were able to get close to them, and if not completely return them to their past form, help them show emotion a bit better.

I have some good reasons! A DIFFERENCE OF IDEALS. Sephiroth is selfish and wants to rule the world, Aeris is selfLESS and sacrfices herself to save it from him. Sephiroth hates, Aeris loves. They are polar opposites, good and evil. NOW in an AU universe, or Redemed!Sephiroth, those are okay, but as Sephiroth never WAS redemed, I just can't ship the couple.
