the only time you should ever and i mean EVER post as to why you dont like a coupling is if it is a "which pairing do u dislike most" thread i am sick and tired of seeing this CRAP everywhere i go stressed scream

So long as someone can intelligently post why they dislike a pairing without resorting to swearing or crude words, then I'm fine. So long as the person won't go so low as to attack another person because they do not like a pairing that person supports, then I'm fine with that too. But if someone is going to flat out be an asshat about their own beliefs, then they can just sit on it.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking your pairing, but it is a fact that Cloud never actually 'hooks up' with anybody. You can take any sort of evidence given, and use it to portray a platonic relationship. I can take evidence commonly used for Cleris pairings and use it to support a platonic, older sister-younger brother relationship between Aerith and Cloud, and do the same with Cloti evidence. There is nothing 'definite' or 'absolute' until Square-Enix actually comes out and bluntly says or shows Cloud being in love with someone else.
Such is the beauty of Final Fantasy VII, as it is one of the many aspects of the game that is 'open to interpretation.' Be it the origin of the Cetra, whether Rufus is really evil or not, or love, the game is loaded with stuff that you can debate about and play around with.
Also, as a note to RanmaxHikaru... Technically, you can't 'ban' someone, or say they can't go and post in a thread, just because they may have the view that Cloud doesn't get with anyone officially (which is actually true). The only way a person can get banned is if they go into the thread, say your Cloti thread, and start posting lewd, offensive comments that don't necessarily have to regard the pairing. If someone DOES start doing that, then PM me or another active mod, and we'll be there on the double.

That's cool, leaves you to imagine. That way, CloTis can find reasons to support their love, and the same goes for Cleris. But then again, IY had InuYasha fall in love with Kagome, but their are still KiYashas out there.... ANYWAY, um... Where was I going with this? Oh yeah... Like I said before, "Make love, not war." Show your couplings, defend your couplings, bring some new flavour into the world. Just don't be making some weird couplings that make no sense like Barret/Sephiroth, or Cait/Big Bro.... I dunno, I think it's justified what I said, but still... Hey, you think a "Make love not war" rule would stop at least a bit of the hate? I mean, I'm happy to see all the CloTis and Cleris, I just don't like it when I say anti-"insert coupling here" pics, you know? Makes it look like yours is the 1TC (One True Coupling) and just makes you look like a jackass and demeans your coupling instead of strengthening it in my view... Love your couple, just don't hate on others... You know, like how you tried to make it so people quit making fun of the so called noobs instead of encouraging them?

I believe one of the big rules I posted in the intro thread for this subforum is no pairing bashing. If those pairings constitute as pairing bashing, then they can be taken down by a mod, since it is in the rules for this specific suborum. The thread for pairings that one dislikes is okay, since it's just people saying why they don't like a pairing, which is fine, so long as they don't resort to idiocy, poor grammar, crude language and the like to make their point.
It is usually a given that a Cleris will not like or support a Cloti pairing (although there are others that do support both), so if a person posts a picture that is demeaning/offensive for the Cloti pairing (such as one depicting Tifa getting killed by a very angry Cloud, or Cloud and Aerith being together while Tifa is portrayed in a non-canonical and totally out of character manner, like a prostitute), then feel free to take down the picture (keep the picture's URL for reference, by writing it down or something like that), and give the person a warning in a PM and in the thread.
Apparently, I need to pay the Cleris thread a visit.

If someone DOES start doing that, then PM me or another active mod, and we'll be there on the double. that is exactly what i meant you have to have something to back it up as well but like i said i really am tired of seeing that stuff and in some cases of what people will stoop to just to prove a point even when as strawberrie said cloud not falling in love with anyone can be really, REALLY sad whether it be beating someone up anything else is sad hell i saw something on the news that someone actually SHOT someone for the same reason

thank you after that shooting incident i wanted to start one of these threads so much becuz i will admit that i do despise the cleris thing but i would never stoop so low as to shoot someone becuz of there views its there opinion so the best we can do is just let them be if we dont agree with them

Ah, but alas, thus is life.Ai ai, Lady SIC-Ness... *sigh* There is one thing that I always never understood though.... It's just pairings, man! I mean, I've broken my knuckles because someone was saying idiotic crap about Tifa being a prostutue, bashing Tifa, and the CloTi, but I would never put a bullet in a guy's head because of something like this. Maybe sock them in the jaw or the adam's apple if they're a dude if they're being retarded, but never a bullet.... That's going WAY overboard.... Well, the only one I can think of that's close is me wanting to tie myself to the clock tower and wave an AeriSeph or Yuffentine or CloTi flag at my school, but that's about all I'd do for a coupling

Yeah, some pretty whacked stuff happens over differences of pairings. I'm a mod on the Cleris forum, and we get some pretty WEIRD people that will hack our accounts, stalk us across the internet and create hate sites based on US(Not even Cleris, US) just cuz we don't agree.
And I've seen some Cleris get pretty nasty(Not to the same degree because so far we don't have a CIML/Tana in our camp) too. It just...it makes no sense to me...why flame someone because they disagree? Sure, I'll debate a little with ya, and I'll post my reasons as to why I dislike/disagree with your couple, but I'm not gonna HATE you over it.

It's basically a superiority complex, really. They either feel that they are right and everyone who disagrees is wrong. That, or they just hate difference, and hates anyone who has a different oppinion of them.
As I've said before, being different and having different choices in pairings, and in life, is aight with me. And if you don't think another coupling may work, or just don't see how it works, that's all right so long as you didn't instantly judged it but tried to see it work at the very least.
The only thing I hate is when they burn on couples that disagree with their OTP, like Anti-Not my OTP fanart where Cloud helps Sephiroth kill Aeris, or Aeris ties up Tifa and beats and maims her. Both are rather sad, and don't support your coupling, but just make you and whatever you're trying to support shitty and a*****e...ey. Eh...
