Zahmen Let me raise the point I'm trying to make. Here's roughly the ratio of Poetry over Prose in the main forum: 3/1 I just want a seperate subsection for either poetry or prose (I never said one or the other, Waffles stare ) so that the front forum can be used for the one left over and therefore make things a little bit more tidy. I've a question here... what is Prose?

Hmmm... I'm voting for a seperate section for poetry. Since we have less prose (or at least from what Z said) then it would fit better in the main forum.
Why? Because we also have to post announcments and important stickies in the main forum. Could get too congested with all that darned poetry.

Hawk has a point. We dont want to have the main forum devoid of writing. But leaving poetry there may keep it too crazy. With just prose and all the anouncements and such in the main is should keep everything nice and neat.
I second hawk.

Z, looks like you're gonna win this battle.
Now, order of business numbah 2: Since the writing contests subforum doesn't seem to get a whole lot of use, I'm thinking about making it a writing contests/games subforum. Writing games, of course. Word games, "fill in the next line", "3 word story" ect, ect. I think that would bring in more people to the subforum and get more intrest in the contests as that happens.
Opinions?
This will be cross-posted on the first post of this topic just so it gets seen, because I don't want to make another announcement just for it. They can both go here.

Go for it. There's only like 4-5 posts in that forum anyways. It'd work fine.

*drops 2 cents in the vote box*
Must add my 2 cents, ya know? wink
The mian forum is for random stuff, like dialogues and art, minority stuff.
personally, i enjoy chaos. But my room doesn't count. That's ORGANIZED chaos. And the poems and stuff themselves are chaotic enough without being all over the place.
Seriously.
NEW FORUM! heart
how much are they, anyway? If I don't buy a haloween costume, I'll contribute to the cause. wink

I'd say sure, go ahead. Like everyone else, though, I wonder what will become of the main forum. Maybe it'd be better for there to be a misc. forum? I dunno. I think since most people come here to get their poems critiqued, they should post them in the main forum. I'm not going to raise beckam if no one agrees with me though.
I think a general writing contest/game forum would be fun, so do it! ^_^
And...I'm really no good at horror stories. xp

If the main forum dies, we could always delete the poetry subforum/change its usage and go back to the way we were.
Probably the latter, since subforums cost 2500 per.
