There isn't going to be any more sequels, the second movie resolves everything. I posted a topic on the spoiler info I found elsewhere in this part of the guild forum if you want to know what happens.

i heard that theyre planning on making the 3rd part to the DN where Mello and Near appears.

Maybe the filmmakers were considering two actresses to possibly play M and N in the 2nd movie (and imdb picked up on that) but later, decided against it.

It's dissappointing that Mello and Near won't appear in the movie, they're two of my absolute favorites.

yeah near and mello arent in any of the movies! that makes me sad.
mello and near are some of my favourite characters. but if you think about it really hard there are a few references to them. the mask and chocolate have been mentioned.
but takadas there...which totally made me go "wtffff why not mello matt and near?!"

Well the movie really changes from the anime/manga.They just made L do the most work for Near and Mello.They were cool characters too, but the ending to the movie was like a SHOCK eek .
