I nominate Ezzy and Insom.
I'm going to hope no one has done it already, and pm Zae and let her know about the mod situation, because even if we choose someone, we cant make them mod. Zae has to do it.
Edit - I also think Meru is more responsible then people think. I mean, look at the wiki. She had all the power there, but still made it unbiased and stuff.

I like how no one thinks I can be responsible. Its just im ALWAYS on, like tell me a time when Im not. I know how to follow rules and Godmoding in a guild is stupid. I already try to tend to requests and that in my Cult....
Meh :/ I was actually going to nominate you in that other thread in the sniped D, but it was already dead by the time I was online tonight. So yeah, I think Meru is completley capable of being a mod, Ezra too. Other's can't really say since I haven't talked to/or hung around you guys as much. ^^;;; Edit: I agree with Nymphie, if Meru was as power driven as everyone says it would have shown in the Wiki...which it doesn't.

We could definetly use a couple at least, because even though we keep trouble in and of ourselves to a good minimum, people still make mistakes and need threads moved. Plus this is an open-posting and growing guild, anyone could come in and start spamming the place up, which would be bad. Especially if the spam was...

I think Mori, Ezra and Belle would make good mods for the guild, my number one vote is for Meru though... and I don't even like her that much.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember getting threatened by you that you would delete a topic I made, think it was in the reuinion guild where you were a mod, based on it containing an image related to The Game just because you didn't like it. Sounds real responsible to me. Anyhow, I don't really have a problem with the thought of you as a mod, I just thought that I would point that little situation out.
Does anyone else feel that mods should be picked based on their experience in that field? For example, I've owned three different guilds, not counting my current dead one, and moderated at least five others, so I would be qualified for the position because I would know what I am doing. Perhaps we should look for people who are similarly qualified at moderating active guilds?
And for the record, I don't really want to be a mod here, I just pointed my qualifications out for an example, I don't think I could be completely impartial with certain people here and thus won't be volunteering.

I think we should poll the GCSG and see who has alot of time and things on their hands, and doesn't think they'll be getting too busy. Because if we elect someone who really doesn't have alot of time, we'll be in the same situation.
Which is why I don't think you would make a good mod Roger-- too busy.
I also think we should elect mods in different timezones so there is a greater probability of having a mod online.
Also, we need someone who doesn't cause a lot of drama, because they can't be impartial and in the middle of the situation at the same time.
So, to sum this up, we need people who don't think they'll be getting busy, live in different timezones and rarely cause drama.

Just because some people haven't had the opportunity to moderate before doesn't mean they aren't as qualified. Besides learning how to lock and move threads can be done in a few minutes.
(and I'm speaking in general, like people looking for their first job and needing work experience, how are they going to get experience if no one hires them)

Meh :/ Meru's a future GCD helper, trust her with your souls. ^_^ Really though, Meru has shown in the past that when given the power she uses it respectfully and appropriately. What would she gain from abusing Modding powers in the GCSG? If you need someone I wouldn't mind helping out. I do lurk here enough, and Meru and other GCSG regs can remind me if I'm shirking my duties. >.> I can be trusted, I haven't abused my powers. 3nodding
