"...Chishio Sakurifaisu.." he muttered, while facing away from his opponent.
The blood that Bukotsu had coughed out fell to the ground. Each droplet moved, then, across the field to find themselves at the hilt of Ugu's soul slayer. Each drop of blood evaporated and turned into a small bite sized amount of spirit energy to be absorbed by the man's shikai. Every small speckle of blood on Ugu's blade and arms also met nothingness as Ugu's own blood turned to spirit energy. Each small scar on the man's right arm healed upon the droplits touching the sword. Along with those scars the shinigami recovered some of his spirit energy.
Ugu turned, facing Bukotsu with his blade in the same position as usual. Looking rested, with his back straight and shoulders fixed, his eyes pierced the naked air between him and his opponent. Both of his hands rested on his sword, keeping it in front of himself. Any visual hint of the shinigami using his spirit energy was impossible to see. None of Ugu's green reiatsu was seen by the crowd, or by his opponent.
"The squad will not accept anyone willing to throw away every inch of their energy for a final attack. A shinigami is always prepared and shall never require the use of a 'desperation move'. It shows that you are unwilling to consider tactics and wit to defeat an opponent." The shinigami's eyes narrowed. "Throw down your blade and surrender. I do not wish to cause un-erasable harm on you, friend."

Okuni had shouted from the bleachers as she leaned over the rail.
"BUKOTSU STOP! That move will kill him and take you away from me! YOU SAID IT YOURSELF THAT HE WAS YOUR FRIEND!" Okuni shouted as she hopped over the rail and intervened. He had appeared in front of him with arms spread to shield Ugu from this move.
"Ugu please whatever you do! Do not try to strike him down! That move he is using is inhuman and cannot be stopped by your strength alone! Look at his blade! The reiatsu is not Bukotsu's...It is his soul slayers'!" Okuni said referring to the black energy circling about Bukotsu and not to mention the shadow as well. Okuni knew very well that using the 'Uraankokumatou' meant dabbling in the Satsui No Hadou.
"Ugu it's not his fault, his emotions are being swayed!" She said as she tried to explain to Ugu why Bukotsu would use such a desperate move.
Obviously, she seemed to side with Ugu on this. As she was right, Bukotsu was going to lose, "This isn't a real fight for life or death! There is no need to do such things to obtain some stupid rank in seiretai! I gave up my chance to join the squads because it wouldn't help me bring my father back! Why can't you just stop fighting for yourself! " She said wincing shutting both her eyes shut.
"THIS ISN'T WHAT THEY WANT!" She shouted as tears began to run down her face.

Bukotsu had been too ambitious for joining the squads, Ugu's words would not be heard either. His energy continued to rise as if he were ready to strike Ugu down. His grip on his sword was verily ready tu cut through anything. But the minute Okuni had been shouting from the bleechers he was still ignoring her.
The minute she appeared between him Ugu didnt seem to effect him at all either. His reiatsu began to fluster, and fuse about endangering those around it. But he had now seen that she was muttering something to Ugu. Okuni had been now looking at him telling something, as if he could only hear, 'This isn't a real fight for life or death! There is no need to do such things to obtain some stupid rank in seiretai!' seemed to blur their way to him. It still seemed to not spark his interest.
He began to swing his sword down, but as soon as he saw her tears well from her eyes, he looked dead ahead towards her and moved the direction of the Uraankokumatou inwards toward the ground away from the line that Okuni and Ugu stood on. As the move crashed upon the field it had carved the arena and earth apart almost as scissors cutting paper reashing a width of nearly twenty or thirty meters, but no ending there, cutting winds envoked the split earth with ease and unleashing heat wave strikes that appeared hotter than flame that nearly blew at the crave for nearly 5 minutes. As the dust blew up and covered the arena the dust disappeared, Bukotsu dropped his Juzumaru, and seemed to become entranced in a twilight zone.
Did he do this? Making her cry? Nearly unleashing a move that may have killed someone he called a friend? All this to only fulfill his selfish need? To just find his parents, he was almost willing to cut through a loved one and a friend? His imagination had been telling him that he had been very alone for quite some time, just because two people weren't there for him since he was born.
He slowly lowered his head, hiding his face behind his silver hair in shadow as he raised his arm to show he was to forfeit. Throwing his arm down, he had surrendered. Ugu had won...

The instant the technique had been unleashed, she thought that this was the end as the dust covered the field. She held her arm to shield her eyes as the dust was clearing. Bukotsu had aimed for the innard of the earth, but as she turned to face Bukotsu she had already seen him raise his arm and throw it down in forfeit.
Giving a sigh of relief, she patted the dust off her skirt with her schoolgirl like attitude. Although, it meant surrendering to her, to Bukotsu it clearly meant that he might have to wait longer to find what he was looking for. She seemed to have become very upset as something inside had told her that losing may have not been what Buktosu had in mind. But this also weighed down on her heart that she fell to her knees. Lowering her head in disguist she only spoke to Ugu at this point.
"Zenmaru-kun, may I ask that you try and cheer Bukotsu up? I don't know you very well, but right now what I think Bukotsu needs is a friend, that one surrender means more to him than you think..." Okuni asked as she tried to stand holding back her tears. Walking over to Bukotsu, she only looked up at his shadowed face, clearly telling him by her expression that she was very sorry for having to do such acts.

Ugu's blade turned back to its normal sealed shape. He then placed his soul slayer into the sheath on his left hip. The shinigami's eyes still layed on Bukotsu, still focusing on the shorter shinigami.
He began to speak after a short moment of silence following Okunil's voice. "Mt. Munazashi is a mountain on Earth. It is a mountain where I used to live near. I lived in a small shanty town north of the Mongolia-Chinese border..." Ugu stood there looking at Bukotsu with his ever present lime green eyes. "...Munazashi was a place where warriors tested themselves. It was a place to achieve nirvana, or inner peace."
The shinigami laughed, cooling the sad air around him. "I headed up that mountain one day when I was 18. I went to that mountain to achieve inner peace. I died in a rock slide after an hour climbing the mountain." Ugu continued to laugh to himself. "All the power in the universe could not have saved me then. With my father's sword in my hand I died from a.. tiny shifting of a giant mountain." His laughter continued, echoing in the battlefield. "It was funny. I achieved inner peace by dying that day.
"From defeat comes victory. Bukotsu, with meditation you will realize that today was a turning point for you." With that last comment he flash-stepped from the scene.

Giving a light sigh, Bukotsu looked up after hearing Ugu's tale. Giving a light smile, he did learn something today.
"I'm really sorry about that Okuni...I didn't mean to use such things for selfish gain, I almost tried to kill Ugu, and not to mention almost cut you down, and I didn't even mean to make you cry," Bukotsu said sifting the look of his eyes form her to the side. With that he walked over to the entirely torn arena to pick up his manteau, and his scarf as he placed them back on. Turning around to Okuni he lightly smiled, "This has made me kind of hungry, wanna go grab something to eat?" Bukotsu said as he picked up Juzumaru and sheathed it.

Wiping away her tears abit, she had looked up smiling and stood on her toes as she gently conked him on the head with her hand, "Bukotsu, lunch sounds good right now," she smiled as she pressed her forehead against his.
"I know it's hard to admit, even though that means waiting longer to find your parents..." She said standing back on her feet now, "Come on, let's go celebrate then, like we are glad we are still people who have time before joining a squad, we're still kids in the eyes of others, so why not enjoy being a kid while we can?" She smiled taking Bukotsu by the hand and leading him to the district of Rukongai to eat.
