Rikku giggles. "You and your ramen!" She tickles Naruto's tummy teasingly then turns him gently by the shoulders & pushes him towards the shop. "I ate before coming. You boys go eat. Yunie & I have catching up we've gotta do! Sides, I know you guys & you'll be eating far longer than we would." Leaning her head forward she stuck her tongue out at them. "Just leave something for Yunie, won't ya? I'll just have a little something sweet."
Her eyes glittered mischievously at Naruto while she made little shoo-ing gestures with her hands. "Go! Go! Girl time! I'll get Yunie back to you in a jiff, Tidus! Shoo!"

Yuna waves at the two retreating males before turning to her cousin and hugging her again, "I am so happy to know you are here Rikku! I honestly thought I was going to be alone, but Naruto told me everything! He is quite sweet to do that for all of us, don't you think?" she asks, stepping back and brushing some dust off the side of her skirt.

Hopping a little up and down the blonde nods with gusto. "Ruto's the sweetest!" Beaming crazily Rikku felt all tingly inside at the thought even as she started bubbling at the mouth. "You're certainly not alone! Not in 'Ruto's family! It's bigger than mine! & you've got me & Tidus & why would you think you'd be alone? Didn't Moochi tell you anything? Trel told Relm & I loads before the family vacation where we met everyone. It was a total blast!"
"Say! Now that you & Tidus are here we should get a bunch of us together & go to that island Trel took us! We could get Morgana to bring her Pervert & invite all our friends to go so you could meet them!"
"And we need to teach Naruto how to Blitz! I started to, but we get distracted. I don't think I'm a very good teacher. But I bet Tidus could teach him! He's better than I am at Blitzball!"

Yuna giggles to herself as Rikku suddenly just seems to go off and start talking. But she certainly didn't miss the spark in Rikku's eyes when she started talking about Naruto. She was certain when Naruto took her and Tidus home, Moochi would explain everything to her, but for now she was content to be here with her cousin for the time being. "You must really care very much for Naruto! I've never seen you talk about one person so much before!" she says in a teasing manner.

Rikku looked mildly shocked. "Of course I care for him! And Why shouldn't I talk about 'Ruto? We're best friends! We're always spending time together -whenever we can!"
She was grinning again, green eyes sparkling as she took her cousin's hands & swung them back & forth happily. Rikku tried to get Yuna to bounce eagerly with her. "I'm so glad you're here Yunie!! I've missed you! I thought I'd never see you again! Oh! That Naruto! Knowing you were coming & not telling me! I could.. I could... arg!"
Throwing her head back & hands up she laughed. "I could wrestle him to the ground & tickle him into submission til tears poured out of those blue eyes of his! That's what I'll do!"
Setting her chin she nodded. Yes. That was exactly what she would do. Fitting, for the way she was feeling: all "grrrr" & "weeee" at once.

Yuna laughs a little bit as she squeezes her cousins hand, "Hehehe, it sounds like Naruto is a remarkable guy! Kinda makes me wish he was back on Spira with us when we were all Gullwings! I can see him driving Brother crazy!" she laughs, thinking back. "But...the way you talk about him Rikku...it makes me wonder...just how much you do care for Naruto." she says softly, a loving smile on her face.

The Al Bhed convulses with laughter at the thought. "oh! Oh! I can see it now! Naruto running around the Celcius peeking into everything going "Hey! What's this?" & Brother shouting "Hu! Tuh'd duilr dryd! Hud dryd aedran! Kad pylg rana, oui!" And of course Ruto not having a clue what he'd said, unless he'd sit down & learn Al Bhed with me." She practially glows at the thought, rocking herself a little until the laughter settles a bit. "I wonder if I can get together with Kaylee & make an airship?"
Her musing on that is broken as she catches on to Yuna's odd (at least to Rikku) comment. "Huh? What's that supposed to mean? Isn't it obvious I care for him more than anyone else?"
She sighed softly. "That's why it s so tough... finding someone perfect for him. He deserves so much! I keep meaning to... but..." Her voice trailed off & she switched the subject back with a brilliant smile.
"You know, 'Ruto & I talk about how it might have been if he was in Spira with us or I'd grown up in his village. I think he woulda made a great Blitzer or SphereHunter!"

Yuna laughs out loud over Rikku's comment on driving Brother crazy and she knew it would be true. But smiles secretly and shakes her head over her cousin agonizing over trying to find someone for Naruto. "I am sure he would have made an excellet SphereHunter, he certainly has the drive for it." She sighs a little bit, knowing she would have to bring the subject up since it looked like no one had done so before.
"Rikku...you say you want to find someone for Naruto, but you feel no one will ever be good enough for him. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe.....YOU are the one is for him?" she asks, tilting her head at her cousin.

"Me?" It came out as a squeak. Rikku laughed weakly. "Oh no. 'Ruto needs someone much better than me." She was not being self depreciating in any way. Her tone said as much. Simply put, she wanted the best for Naruto & objectively speaking Rikku did not see herself as "best".
Somehow, she still did not put it together & smiled innocently up at her cousin.

Yuna groans and puts her face in her hands, shaking her head. How could her cousin just NOT get it!!! "Rikku! I haven't been around long and I have seen the way you two are around each other, and from what I have seen, it's been that way for a long time!! Say you did actually find someone for Naruto, how would you feel if they suddenly got all the hugs and kisses from him? How do you think I would feel if someone took Tidus from me and suddenly took away all his affection and love away from me!" Yuna giggles a little bit, "Rikku...you're in love!"

Her fists clenched involuntarily as she did think ... but it was the comparison between Yuna & Tidus to her & Naruto that drained her of all energy. Rikku landed on her derriere with a thud, her arms barely keeping her upright as she leaned back upon them. She paled. Her mouth dropped open slightly & she stared up at Yuna in complete & utter shock. "no..."
It was barely audible. More in surprise than denial. Images & memories of times shared with Naruto flashed through her head. Dancing, kissing, swimming, lying still. Cooking, seeing him hurt, tracing entwined fingers across his seal. Blueberries. Embraces. Smiles. Those beautiful eyes...
Her hands went to her face as Rikku sat up with a muffled sound. "Fayths, I do..."
Peering through braids & fingers Rikku turned entreating green eyes upon her cousin. "Yunie... what do I do? 'Ruto's my best friend!"
Tears moistened her eyes but did not fall even as silent little sobs shook her body. She loved him.

Yuna quickly wraps her arms around Rikku and hugs her close, rocking her as tries to sooth her cousin, "Oh Rikku...he may be your best friend, but I think he sees you more then that!! I don't think I have ever seen anyone look at you quite the way he does!" she says softly.
Yuna pulls back and gives Rikku an encouraging smile, "Maybe he just doesn't realize yet how much he loves, because you always claim each other as best friends, so he won't let himself see you both as something more! But if you tell him, and give him that chance. You both seem so happy together, I don't see how he cannot love you Rikku!"

The tears started to trickle silently down her face. Rikku let herself be rocked. When Yuna pulled back she wiped her scarf hurriedly across her face. "Do you really think so? I won't ruin everything by telling him?"
Then her voice dropped to a whisper again. "Should I tell him tonight?"

Yuna giggles a little bit as she pulls back to smile at her cousin, "It's really up to you when you feel you want to tell him. But I say, make it as soon as possible..." A far off look in her eyes becomes present and she sighs a little bit, "I should have told Tidus that I loved him...I thought I lost my chance....but now that he is here with me, even in the same family, I'm not going to let him go!" Yuna says, smiling as her eyes sparkle at the thought of her blond blitzball player.

Seeing Yuna's happy expression the Al Bhed made a decision. She stood, shaking herself from the top of her pointed ear to the tip of her tail. Then she beamed a smile at her cousin. "Tonight! Right now!"
It was as if she simply stepped back into her normal energy again, though Rikku knew her heart was beating like never before. She felt faint & grabbed Yuna's hand, pulling her along. "Come on Yunie!! They're still eating, I know it! If not Tidus... definitely Naruto!"
As his name passed her lips for the first time since admitting her feelings Rikku shuddered. Fayths, please let him feel as I do!
