"Meet the Family"

Minta brushed her hair back out fo her eyes, sighing slightly and a ltitle mroe then concerned. This was a fairly major thing going on - introducing Aurora to everyone else in the household. Well, as much as they were a part, evne fi some wanted to deny it. "Are you ready?" Mintaka said, putting on a smile.

"Of course!" she said, giving the ever-present lollipop a good lick for measure. her eyes were wide and expansive, eager as well.

"Alright," she said, leading Aurora out to the main room where everyone was waiting. "Everyone, I'd like you to meet Aurora, our house's neweest member."

Unphased by the people before her she waved, letting out a cheerful "Hi~!!"

"We'll start here," she said, eying Sandrien carefully with a slightly sharp look of consternation that he'd best behave. "Aurora, this is Sandrien, who helps me out with things."

Sandrien stood, arms folded across his chest, keeping an even expression as he looked at the young girl. "I also tend to keep your mother out of trouble," he said with a slight smirk. "And by extent, that means I look after you as well and make sure no one hurts you." He winked at ehr then, looking less stearn as he adjusted his dark feathered wings. "I can promise that."

"Oh goodie, cause I dun want anything to hurt Minty, I like her too much!" She gave his leg a quick hug, and stepped back again, scratching at Tootsie who was hovering nearby.

"And here," she said, after a quick jut of the tongue at Sandrien, "is my half-sister Mishendra, which makes her an aunt of yours." She smield to Mishendra, who was busy fussing with ehr sea-green hair a moment. "She takes care of things for me, while I'm busy with other things. And cares for my Dustlings and such, among others. She's my second-hadn in managing affairs for thigns I run, basically. Well, some of it."

Aurora smiled, looking up at the woman, who seemed only slightly younger then Mintaka. "Autny Mishy? Aunty Mishy important then, help with things. Seen Aunty Mishy around already! Nice to meetcha!"

"It's good to meet you too," Mishendra said, bending over slightly to ruffle the pink locks up a moment. "Keep Min busy for me," she said with a wink and laugh. "I need to go check on some thigns, Min, so I'll eb back later for dinneritme. Sleet's being a touch fussy."

"Ah... okay, I'll drop in later and see what's up with the ice cube then," Mintaka said thoughtfully, watching Mishendra head out. "Well, as I said, your aunt keeps busy." She smiled at Khana'liel then, who was sititng in a chair carefully, his wings held slightly awkwardly at this point. He looked a little weak and pale, but was still up and about enough. "This is Khana'liel, and like Sandrien helps me with some things. He's been a little under the weather lately, though."

Khana smiled weakly, waving a bit. "Don't mind me much, just... trying to recover." His greyed eyes seemed a little distant, and hdiing some pain and discomfort. He slid one leg slightly, the hoof sliding on the carpet a bit as a feather-tipped ear flicked.

Aurora looked at him with slight awe, taking in the antlers on hs head, the emerald and blue wings and feathers on him, his dark, blonde-tipped hair and finally dug into a pocket, producing a candy. "Here," she said, tucking it into his hand very carefully. "Maybe this will make you happier, and make you better." She stared up at him, smiling as she closed her hand around it. "Always makes me feel better-like."

Khana laughed carefully, supporessing a cough and taking the candy. "We shall see," he said, smiling.

Mintaka exhaled slowly, giving his arm a careful squeeze. "You should be resting again, soon as you eat."

"Yes mother," he said with a certain playful sarcasm. "She is so very the mother to us all in keeping after us. You'd think I wouldn't remember." He rose carefully, and awkwardly walked for the kitchen.

"Will be okay?" Aurora asked, tugging a bit on Mintaka's hand.

"I hope so," she replied, pursing her lips together carefully. "He's been stuck soemwhere between very sick and well for awhile now."

"He will," a voie said, coming in the door. A centaur female, with the horse body a silvery-grey, spekled and dappled by white, and pale skin on her human half. "Ch'dri," she said, bowing slightly. "I keep after everyone's health here, including your mother's and yours, too when needed. I am a healer who practices medicine and has some healing magicks."

Aurora's jaw dropped slightly as she took in the sight of the healer, eyes sparkling slightly. "Wow... you're so... pretty..." She walked over carefully, reacing up slightly, her hand hovering carefulyl as though afraid to touch the fur. "M-may I?"

Ch'dri laughed, smiling as she remained partly kneeled. "Sure, I don't mind at all."

Aurora pet Ch'dri's fur carefully, enjoying the silky smooth feeling, awed at it almost. "Wow... and you're so nice. Will you be around a lot?"

"On and off, but with your mother expecting, more so then ever." She was eying Mintaka carefully. "Soon, likely."

"I hope," Mintaka said, rolling her eyes a moment. "I was not designed for this at all." She snickered then, patting Aurora's head. "Seems that your other aunts were unable to make it, but that's okay. Aunt Khiviance will have to turn up soon as I need to talk to her, and Aunty Calico ...well, she said she was kind of busy with some stuff. But that's okay. And you've been playing with Ai, so it's all okay."

Aurora looked a little let down, but nodded. "I understand. Busy busy!"

Mintaka laughed slightly. "Let us go to the kitchen, and find something to snack on before dinner."

"Okay!" Aurora said, running ahead to the kitchen.

"Carefuly of the dreams and the sentinels not to crash into them!" Mintaka called after with a slight laugh. "Tiresias and Styx, watch out!"
