Meh, he's a great drummer and all, but I prefer Simon Wright.

I hate Simon Wright...I think he was a terrible drummer.

He had no style or groove.

NO STYLE? AHSGDKIKNCK!!111

mad

Wright is a great drummer, with much more technical experience than Slade and Rudd combined. His beats may be simple, but listen to his work with Dio, which is much better.

His work with Dio was alright, but with AC/DC, it seemed to me that his drumming just...I dunno, seemed flat and boring.

I couldn't really give a crap if he has more technical experience, simply because I never liked technical playing, and I don't think that defines talent at all. Its just he seemed to be mediocre. Like with Phil he had a really distinctive style that separated him from other drummers. Chris...well he was too much of a fancy drummer for me so I don't like his drumming much either. With Phil I could, um, air-drum all of his parts and stuff cuz they were so cool. I couldn't ever do that with Simon. But don't let me deter you from your opinion. You have yours and I have mine. So don't get all pissed off cuz I don't like the same things as you. Its not like I was laughing at you or insulting your musical intelligence. I was saying that I don't like Simon Wright.

I wasn't mad or anything, but as somebody who plays/studys drums, it bothers me to see people judge a drummer on his "groove" and not actual skill. Sure, Phil is more of AC/DC's style, but Wright is a much better drummer.

Well, many people have different opinions on skill. Personally, I don't think Simon really showed great drumming skill in AC/DC. He might in other bands, but I find he didn't really with AC/DC. And if we're talking about the drummers in AC/DC with the most skill, I'd say Chris did. And Phil might play simply with AC/DC, but back in the early days he did drum fills and that sort of thing.

Its just whenever I compare, say, the drumming in Back In Black to Who Made Who, I like the drumming better in Back In Black. And I've felt this way even before I really knew the band members and stuff. It might be the type of drum kit Simon uses, but his sound just seems...empty or something. Its really hard to describe, its just something's missing.

When I said before that Simon had no style, I didn't mean he was bad in the sense of musicianship...I meant he had no distinctive sound or whatever that sets him apart from other drummers, like Phil does.

I guess you haven't seen the 6 drummers they had before Phil...they all sucked terribly, in my opinion.

The only drummer I liked was Phil. Chris was too technical and Simon was too boring. IMO.

I dun't really count the ones they had before "High Voltage"

Its spelt Australia whee

Anyways, its best you don't count them. Cuz they aren't really worth mentioning.

I think a dead person had more rhythm than this one guy they had, whose name I can't remember.

They all seemed fine to me, though Chris Slade does look funny.

I don't think any of them are amazing, though they could be. Most of AC/DC's drumming is pretty simple, not that I'm worthy enough to compare myself to it. Give me a few years and my drum lessons might do something with me.

But I like Phil. He just looks cool. Not exactly one to have as a rolemodel though, what with the rehab and everything. He's a great drummer, possibly amazing, I can't tell.

EDIT: Oh, and Chris Slade is reportedly a huge a*****e. Which goes well with his funny lookingness, I suppose.
