I think it would be amazing for them to go back and redo ff7 with the technology and advancement they've made in graphics. I saw a trailer for ff12 and was blown away for a game that is still being released on ps2 it's amazing. also has anyone seen Dirge of Cerebus. I rented it not to long ago and had a chance to play it. I was pretty pleased with the game play it's not RPG style in the sense that it is a shooter game but Square enix has put the final fantasy feel to it still. anyways if by some miracle they do in fact remake FF7 I will be at the front line to get that.

soadshuyin They are NOT remaking it. It was a tech demo for the PS3 in order to draw attention to itself and the system itself. The fact that people are still talking about it means that the advertisement scheme worked beautifully. There is NO official remake in the works as of now, nor will there be as long as the game is readily accessible to so many people. they are remakeing it they are just tied up right now with other things...I have a friend in Square who told me...and yes i acctuly have a friend in Square Enix

Cloud plays Halo I forgot to add, you can import your PSX games to the PSP thogh later on in 2007, so you can dust off FF7 and play it on the road really, I didn't know that, about importing PSX games to the PSPs...

They will not remake this game until it is unavailable due to the hardware being obsolete. Dont think thats going to happen soon.
And notice that the game has been said to be being remade since the graphics engine for FFVIII came out. It hasnt happened yet, it wont happen soon.

They definatly should remake FFVll,but they should also work on a sequal to eiether FFVll or Advent Children.Or maby even a prequal......
Idk,but i'll kill the whole SquareEnix team whille im in the afterlife if they don't make any more FFVll games in my time.

There are three prequels right now: 1)Before Crisis, which is for Phones but only in Japan as of now; 2)Crisis Core, which will eventually be for PSP; 3)Last Order, which is an OVA reinterpretting the Nibelham Incident in truth. I think were set with FFVII games for a good while now.

Honestly, I feel like Square is just gonna pull a fast one on the consumers, and fans of Final Fantasy, and actually work on it without realeasing much information at all. Which they could successfully pull off, now that they've made that tech demo, thinking that we would think otherwise and say well hey they were just "testing graphics".
(Working with double negatives sucks, I feel like I may have contradicted myself in the above writing.)

Soadshuyin is very right. I wouldn't mind playing the remake if they make one. I figure I've already bought into nearly every other FFVII spinoff they've done already, why not seal the deal with a FFVII remake. Even though it seems strange to me that they would go through all the to show the power of the PS3 and leave the Final Fantasy fans hanging on a classic. Either way, we'll just have to wait (impatiently for some) and see... Yet they've created demo productions of ff7 for the ps2 and ps3, check the web for images...or possily gain some game creation skills as to feed all your needs assuringly.
