It was sometime where his arms were sealed by the sandaime and we got to see a close up on his hands. Im almost positive i saw a ring. I think thats valid proof. now i just need to go out and find it! *dashes off*

its one of the volumes with itachi in it. either the one where he appears on the bridge and uses sharingan on kakashi or the one where sasuke tries to kill him in a hotel w/ chidori

while itachi and kakashi are fighting it shows a flashback of when kakashi and jiraiya are talking and jiraiya talks about how orochimaru left a "certain organization" and that organization includes itachi. unless its a mangekyou sharingan club with uchiha madara and itachi in it, highly unlikely, since kakashi can do it, i doubt it was anything other than akatsuki

HA! That makes Itachi the strongest in the series...sry...off topic... But yea, I think it's weird that Orchimaru was in the Akatsuki. He just seems like he needs to have his own place, own servents to rule. The guy's high on his horse, taking order's doesn't seem to be his thing.
