He checked all the levels again, filed all his notes. He had learned may an interesting thing. Like Aiden had two memories for example. Her human side knew things the phoenix didn't and the phoenix knew things that the human didn't. A rather recent discovery that he could put to advantage to its fullest potential. But for how he made sure that Aiden was deep in the coma induced status, memory properly blocked as well, and gave a smile as he brushed the hair from her face. "Be good." A smirk and he left her.

He would put on his cloak and venture to the local tavern. It was a wild place, full of unsavory things to say the least. But it was the cheapest place to get a good drink. Taking a seat at the bar he ordered his usual glass of gin and drank to his accomplishment.

Another took a seat beside him. "Hey, Teon. Heard from Sh'Kaar today. Some rather interesting things have been going down in Fe'Laar. Seems there's unrest in the myths. Some woman in armor they say caused a rather big stir and set a "griffin", he quoted the air, "off. And you know how they supposedly are, grudge bearers. Seems like a good time to try and squeeze information."

"Thanks for the update. I'm sure everyone will jump at the opportunity." A nod to the half drunk man as he left and Teon chuckled to himself. "Well done Aiden. Well done."

Again sitting there with that void look to her eyes. Heavy doses of green liquid had hold of her again as he went about another day of programming her actions, her responses. But after that a half dose of blue. Mix the two set a time of memory loss where things said wouldn't record. He was getting good at this.

Teon only knew so much of what she did, but apparently a few were getting close to her, that necklace had proved that much, and that in itself proved dangerous. With a sigh he continued to brush her hair, in that same obsessive fashion whenever he touched any part of her. "Fearless that's what they call you. Do you know that?" He got a emotionless blink in response. He laughed. "Yes. You're among the top talk my dear sweet Aiden." Brush set aside he went about braiding her hair. "You also prove dependable, always out of sight before that one chemical reaction occurs in your body and you're forced to the phoenix. Did you hear about the Bond Child incident? Of course you didn't you were sleeping, how silly of me to ask." A final touch he snapped on her choker. A band of silk that had a fire pattern on it from which a gold phoenix hung, a ruby in its center. Another injection of green. "How about you go for a casual stroll again? Soothe the worries of the villages, and perhaps perform some 'miracles' of healing and fire?" It was an order, not a question as he dipped a rag in a jar of phoenix tears, whipping over injection marks and pulling out feathers that grew. Then he lead her outside again unseen to leave her outside of Ko'Naar.

Chemicals made their mark all to quickly. Aiden had done her normal thing, then as usual was forced to shift form for the journey "home". All planned out to help keep her mind from knowing where she was going, damn that split memory of hers that she was unaware of. So, little phoenix bird, making its way south bound. Which was a dangerous direction for such a creature to venture. But of course as Ko'Naar neared, she wouldn't remember much all soon enough.

And he would be the one to make sure of that. Gun cocked, sights taken, phoenix in view. Off without a hitch as always, liquid filled dart fired, hit its mark and took down the bird. A smile as he watched it plummet in an array of fiery feathers and hit the ground. Now to retrieve the damn thing.

Janus was following the fire..hoping that little nymph coudl keep up the pace..and saw teh bird flying. rather pretty. then someone shot it down..adn it was near where the necklace was. Damn humans. well this was one prey they weren't getting, so he veered course a bit so he coudl get to the bird, and then the necklace. after all the necklace wasn't going anywhere.

She got tired of hitchiking so she popped off and became Larissa again. She saw the bird lying on the ground and anger filled her. An incomparable anger. How dare someone hurt a living creature. She got to the bird before Janus did and was leaning over the bird. It was a pheonix. Now she was even more pissed. Who would hurt a legendary bird like this? She gently picked the Phoenix up in her hands and pulled the dart out, then looked up at Janus. "Who would do this?"

A casual walk down the street, burlap sack over his shoulder as usual. He was indeed going hunting but in the different sense. He always got to Aiden before anyone else, but a look ahead told him otherwise. WHo the hell was that, worse off what. Damn things. Teon wasn't taking a chance and ducked into an alley, cursing a bit. Damn damn damn damn damn.

Janus moved to teh necklace, picked it up, and looked at the village for a moment. then snorted lightly and moved back to Larissa, smirking.

"Oh come now, are you really that dense. who do you think it is."

He took the dart, and the bird, casually draping it over his shoulder. they needed to get out of here before those damned humans came to see what the commotion was about.

"Any tricks up your sleeve, Larissa? I suggest you use them. Time to head back to Fe'Laar, and we'll get there tomorrow, as I don't feel like being a taxi service for you and the bird."

So he was off again, looking at the dart and grumbling about wretched humans and thier alchemy..walking rather casually toward Fe'laar.

"You know. those damned humans are going to get thiers one of these days."

She watched him go, glaring daggers at his back. Annoying godling...thought he was in charge all the time. She had a trick up her sleeve alright."I'll see you back there." Then she concentrated hard and...disappeared.

Teon was furious....he had lost Aiden. Things were being thrown and he had become obsessive with time. Though in his fury he had made up a whole assortment of darts and a whole new batch of each of his chemical compounds. Aiden would start recording things, and if she changed the human side of her would record things and possibly remembering things. Things were thrown again in his frustration as he looked first to the stone table with no body hooked up to iv tubes and then to a cage with no phoenix bird in it. He growled and shoved what he needed into a satchel. Though he forewent the rifle and cross bow but setting on a hand held pistol version of his rifle, throwing that in the bag with the cases of multicolored darts. It was insurance, he couldn't actively search for her, then his secret would be out. But it he saw her, he planned on getting her then and there. Then wiping her memory clean, not just blocking it out.

Teon idly tapped his pencil to his paper. He was making lists. Lists always helped him remember information. What things he knew would attract Aiden, and then another of what could track and take her down all at once. Aiden hadn't been the first of his myth creation experiments, no, she was just the final crowning achievement and success.

There had been others, dozens. All failed attempts or too easily flawed. Through them he had learned how to perfect and control Aiden at this point in time. But he had never accounted for someone to step into his little plot and take his most prized pet project. That pencil snapped in half with a growl. Well...he could always dig up an old experiment to help regain the perfected one...

Verdandy took a step into town, hood pulled down low. That way people would be able to tell if her skin was black, or if it was just a shawdow from the hood and cloak. She felt vulnerable, because all she had to protect herself were her braclets. No way to counter attack...

And she hadn't heard anything good about this place. Not for the likes of her anway. And how the hell does one go about 'snooping'? she still hadn't figured that one out yet. Perhaps the best would be to to what she had done before. Find a bar, sit herself down and listen. But then...that's how she had gotten violent. And she didn't want to draw attention to herself. She tried to look casual as she walked down the street.

Verdandy didn't' stick out in the least. Everyone in Ko'Naar pretty much wore a cloak in her fashion and they walked her fashion as well. Easy for the drow to get lost in the slight crowd of the day. Seller of alchemical components and the like drawing business as usual. Other only business spot was the local tavern, rowdy as ever.

Teon himself was in the crowd. He was buying his regular raw materials for his chemicals but also something else. A rather hefty portion of raw meat. Which was out of place really.

Purchases wrapped and in hand he left the vendors. Waking through the crowd he would be the one to bump Verdandy lightly, not even apologize and be the only one to give her a second glance. Then he proceeded to his little towered home.

Trigger. But Verdandy did what she could to suppress her..active violent emotions. Instead of killing the man like she killed the brute in the bar, she merely turned a moment and watched what direction he hurried off to. She took note of some of the things he carried, but didn't think it of any importance. She took a deep breath, steadied herself, and continued to observe.

The good Verdandy's reasoning soon queslled what anger she harbored. People get bumped all the time, it's nothing to get worked up over. Plus this isn't the place to expect polite people, now is it?

But still...she watched the man a moment longer and proceeded to find a tavern. If the man was notable around here, then she'd here sometihng about him there if any place.

Tavern? Scary place to walk into that's for sure. Smoke, booze, and bar fights. It had more of that cruddy bar feel that the nice tavern back in Fe'Laar or even Sh'Kaar. Not a place someone would really want to be if they intended to remain on neutral ground. Many things were being talked and fought over, a few discussions of alchemy and myth.

Teon laughed as he walked own into his lab, rabid barking echoing from a cage in a corner. "Yes yes I brought you something. But this is exactly why you were a failure. Too easy to capture. Pitiful." Walking over to the workbench he poured a chemical on a slab of meet, throwing the meet to the canine in the cage. "That should calm you down. You have to learn your place again, you have to find my Aiden for me after all."

Verdandy pushed the door of the tavern open to see sometihng she was not sure she'd ever want to see again. First off, she had to duck to keep a bottle of booze from smashing her temple. The whole place seemed to be filled with the blueish smoke of tobacco...or other drugs she wasn't sure. But the fighting...it was repulsive. It was sneak in a ounch, hit a guy when he's down sorta thing.

One side of her loved it, the other side wanted to crawl into a corner and weep. But...she had a job to do didn't she? Although she was still confused how one went about 'snooping'

Problem...there were no empty tables. So she took a seat at the bar. She was half convinced that she'd get her throat slit for doing just that. She cocked an ear, hoped to catch something.
