ShanoaRavendare The problem I'm having is that I'm not very good at writing male characters and one of my villians is male. I've gotten all of my other characters to come across with the personality I want but the male villian just seems like an a**h*** (avoiding swearing). It's a little frustrating. stressed Ok, here's my thoughts when that happens to me....and even after 13 books it still happens CONSTANTLY. I would take a guess that either your character is not meant to be male, and you just have some preconceived notion of this, or that perhaps the character isn't meant for that story or isn't meant to be where, and how, they are in the book. I've got to get going now, I'll be back to write more if need be, or its wanted, later.

Wow... this post is awesome! I am a writer. I love to write. I haven't published anything...but I truly hope to. I'm going to be a junior in high school and I'm trying to get into Columbia College Chicago. They have a pretty nice fiction writing department, I think. I've written a few short stories, but mostly all I have at the moment are bits and pieces of novels and one series. May I ask when you are going to post your short story, Fantasy_Magick777 ? I am very excited about it. I would love to read it! And anyone else's story for that matter. (I just joined) Maybe there should be a post for the writers in our guilds where they can post their stories. (ignore that comment if there is one already...this is only the third topic I have read so far)

I think when I was really small, I wanted to write a book about bunnies. But somehow, I stopped writing halfway through the third chapter...and I didn't write anything non-academic again until a few months ago.
Which was really sad. I mean, now that I think back upon it--what could have possessed me to stop writing anything besides schoolwork? But back to the point. As a result, I haven't really dared to experiment with anything longer than a short story before. I started writing a novella about a week ago, but you know how hard it can be to adapt to a new pace. I hope to complete said novella, soon, though, although I cringe to think of it being published! XD Until it's gone through a few more revisions, at any rate.

I am writing a book; have been for over two years. It's a fantasy thing based off of a dream I had. It has become my life. 3nodding

I dabble in writing, and I have a lot of really good, but random, ideas, but I can never seem to actually make them happen or connect them in any sort of logical sequence. Apparently I'm really good at making up children's picture books, but that's more sort of 'fun' than 'fulfilling.' Right now I'm experimenting in webcomic-scripting.

i've been writing on the same characters since i was 9, producing about a novel a year, or two to three novellas in a year. i call them the people in my head, and i deal mostly with a humanity in monstrosity theme. undead culture and silly happy mores^^. snippets can be seen in my webnovel thread, as well as in the webcomic.

I have written many stories/books/novels---none of which are published. (Maybe in the future.) Right now, I'm wrting one about eight teenagers in their senior year at high school-their first year of college. It's just about love and hardships.

I'm writing a book right now. I don't know if I want to get it published or not. It's nice to be writing again because I had writers block for about 6 months.

I don't remember if I replied to this or not...I'm writing a book. The Intro. and Chapter 1 aren't in in my journal anymore. I've got to type up the rest...I forgot to put in the italics though...oh well. I also write peotry and random short stories. I'm attempting to write a poem for my yearbook, but I've had no inspiration. Any ideas?

Yes, I'm currently writing Deplorez et Joie, a novel(or at elast I hope it will become a novel) about Ritz, an orphan who is just trying to make a better life for herself.
With a hint of gang-related violence and espionage.
