It was 2 years ago when I got interested in Watase-san's works. My older brother rented one of the OVA's of Fushigi Yuugi and let me watched it [only so I could stay away the computer for a while ^^"]. I liked it and my brother rented the series for me to watch.
During the time my brother rented the series [usually ever few weeks he would rent 3-5 volumes of it], I started searching for other works by Watase-san. I found stuff about Ayashi no Ceres, and started looking into it.
A year later I found news about Alice 19th being licensed in the US. I was thrilled to know that more of Watase-san's works being licensed. I was even more thrilled when I learn about Imadoki! being licesened.
And now, here I am. A fan of Watase-san and her manga. ^_^x

The first of her mangas that I read was Ceres. I loved it, but couldn't find volume 2(took me a couple of months. It was out, but not in a nearby bookstore), so I looked at other stuff by her. Then, I found Fushigi Yugi. That all happened about a year ago, so I haven't been a fan for very long, but I still love her works as much as the next person! I've actually only been a fan of manga/anime for about a year as well.

I've been a Watase fan for 4 or 5 years now... I started reading the Fushigi Yuugi manga and I was gradually sucked in to Watase world. I'm hooked on Epotrance Mai right now... I haven't read it in a while.

I started watching the episodes about when i was 8 yrs old in asia around 1998 or sumthin. And then 2 years ago we moved 2 canada and realized this was not much of an "anime" country since its so common in asia, anyways so i bought the whole DVD set i think last year in my 12th birthday and got hooked up in Fushigi Yuugi since 1998 which is around 6-7 years..??.. yah 3nodding whee

hmm... i don't know how long ago it was... maybe 3-4 years? Anyway, I was in Barnes & Noble and something caught my eye. It was FY #6 and even though nothing made sense to me (why is this girl committing suicide?) I read it through. It seemed really cool and I was instantly in love with Hotohori. Then I forgot all about it. It resurfaced when I found the first two manga in the hands of a friend, borrowed the series (or rather, rented) from some guy, and have read the releases of the second half ever since. It was the first anime I had seen that made me cry. I was so ecstatic when Tamahome appeared in Miaka's world... I cried at every death and wailed my sorrows through the empty house. I then rented Ayashi no Ceres and have since hyperventilated at every Watase-related release in the States.

I've been a Watase fan since 7th grade, so that's about 4 years now. I had heard about Fushigi Yuugi from friends on a message board, then my friend bought vol. 1 one day & I was hooked. Ceres came next for me, I think a year ago. I saw Imadoki in the store over the summer & bought it because it was by Watase, & love it. Then my friend got me into Alice 19th over the summer too.
Right now I can't wait for Genbu Kaiden to be translated, I'm a huge fan of the Genbu seishi ^^.

I've been a Watase Junkie for maybe 2 or 3 years, maybe 2.. I'm not sure. I was just coming out of just Gundam Wing all the time and when I ran out of Gundam Wing manga I was bored. So I picked up a volume of Fushigi Yuugi since I'd heard about it. So then in Alaska in the summer of 2003 I saw another Watase series in Borders and I needed a manga for the plane. So I picked up Ceres and it just kept going on and on and I became a junkie! I incorporated elements of Ceres and A19 in general RPs with my girlfriend, I read Imadoki even though I don't really like it, it's Watase so I read it. I've pretty much stopped readin FY though, not sure why. I've seen the whole anime twice, I suppose I've switched focus

i don't remeber exactly how long ago, maybe about 2 years? Anyway, i love telling this story because it reminds me of the first time i watched FY 4laugh I was really tired(half asleep) but i didn't want to go to bed, i was looking for something to watch and i remembered someone saying that Fushigi Yuugi was an anime so i turned to the international channel(that's what it was playing on) and at first i didn't know what was going on because it was the episode where*spoiler* Tamahome is possesed by the Kodoku and him and Hotohori are fighting. I loved it so much heart I still love it so much heart ...anyway, the next week or two i tried to stay awake, but i was really tired for some reason. I managed to catch parts of it while i was partly awake, but i think i was watching some in my sleep. After that, Yuu Watase was my favorite manga-ka so i looked for other manga and anime by her 4laugh
