Phantom of the Shrub
digital_lipstick
I had a weird Phantom dream, once... it goes like this;

Imagine; and old fashioned cobble-stoned street, lined with cozy wooden huts, occasional cafes and trading markets. In the middle of this sleepy little town in a fountain, obviously important to the community. Standing by this fountain is a man- tall, donned in a black tuxedo with a white ruffled collar, a black silk top hat... and a mask. Who is he? This man is none other than *drum roll* ERIK. *excited squeal* The towns people begin crowding around him, gazing at him with curiosity. He suddenly demands that they bring him the most recently born female child. They protest, of course, but he threatens them something fierce. Reluctantly, they bring him the infant, who is none other than *drum roll* me! Freaky but cool, eh?

Anyway, a couple of years pass and I am now dawning my thirteenth birthday. My "father", aka Erik, has been giving me singing lessons since I was six. On my birthday, however, (which we are celebrating in a field, eek ) Erik tells me that he isn't my real father. I start to sob and ask him why he never told me before. Before he could answer, I woke up. That really pissed me off.

Oh wow, that's really interesting! Sounds cool though. whee It sucks when something important's about to happen in dreams, but you wake up before! >_<

This only works sometimes, but if you tell yourself what you're gonna dream about while you're awake, you have a bigger chance of dreaming it while you're alseep. This also goes for remembering dreams, you tell yourself that you're going to remember it. xp I dunno, that's what my psycology teacher told me in high school.

Here's another dream where I was Erik! xd I'll just cut/paste it from my live journal.

LiveJournal
It felt like being Jack Skellington, but not. I was all walking around, apparently in the "Paris supermarket" and I was being all cool and prowling about, Climbing on top of buildings and stuff. *Yes, there were buildings in the Paris supermarket"!* and I was trying to find the Paris opera house, but I couldn't find it. ;_; So I was just walking about being all cool and Erik-y, and I started walking towards a section, and these guys are all like "Don't go over there, there, there's nothing important!" And I'm all like "I'll go over there if I WANT to!" and then they tried to fight me. >_> They fought me with flaming tiki sticks! I picked one up too, and started doing that thingiy in the musical XP "BRAVO MONSIEUR, SUCH SPIRITED WORDS!" They tried to get my face, but you know...I had a mask on, so haa! I felt soot get in my eyes a little though, that hurt for some reason... But I beat the crap out of them. I kicked one in the crotch, and he tried to kick me there too, but it didn't hurt cause I was me, dressed up as Erik. O_o *Most of my dreams, if I'm something like a different person, as the dream goes on, I turn more back into me, but I'm still them...It's strange! It was cool at the beginning of that dream though, I was all skinny and I moved all gracefully cool!* And I'm all like "HAAHAA I'm a girl, it doesn't hurt!" that's all I remember of that dream.

That's so funny! I too wish I had a flaming tiki stick. biggrin That'd be so fun.

*...Sigh* I haven't even had a Phantom dream yet.. crying I've had other VERY STRANGE dreams before, but none that were Phantom-y.

Singing's been my passion as long as I can remember, and I'm a soprano, so this dream's not so hard to analyze, even if it is wierd:

I'm singing Christine, after "Past the Point of No Return", only the stage is empty, and the lights are so bright I can't see the audience. A trapdoor opens under me and I fall, only it's into a void, then the Phantom comes up to me, reaches into my throat, and pulls my voice out. ~shivers~

The one that is wierd is from my freshman year in college (2 years ago):

For summer, we've somehow managed the fees to do Phantom for Opera Workshop. During dress rehearsal, our phantom (who was not the grad student who would've been cast in reality, but the only other freshman in the directors voice studio with me >.> <.<) goes missing. A masked figure--a real phantom?!--comes and says he has Chris (our phantom) undert he stage. Most of the cast go down to look for Chris, but for some reason the stage is built on a maze carved out of an iceberg! People get separated, and start getting captured by the Phantom (I'm seeing the dream both from first person and as an outside observer, which is reeeeaaally confusing). Eventually I find Chris, but the Phantom has us backed into a corner, and we've discovered that our director is working for him! Then I wake up.

Whoa, that's kinda freaky...! But it sounds like you see the Phantom as a bad guy...At least your subconscious does anyway...that's weird. neutral

But yeah, you're a soprano? That's pretty cool. I wish I had a nice high singing voice like that.. sweatdrop

I know this isn't a dream, but...

I fell asleep in my mom’s bed last night (because she has a television in her room xd ) and since she had to get up at 5am, she just pushed my unconscious body aside and fell asleep herself. Well, at about 1am, she heard me whispering something. My mom listened for awhile, and then got freaked because she thought I was chanting a satanic rite! (All because I said: 'what raging fire shall flood the soul'.) So she shook me awake to tell me I was talking in my sleep *again.*

The weird thing is; I remember every single word I said! As it turns out, I was reciting 'Past the Point of No Return'. So now we make a joke out of it and say that the Angel of Music was singing to me... and I was just singing along with him! xp

Haahaa, that's cool! I want the angel of music to sing to me! xp

I don't talk or sing in my sleep, or at least no one's mentioned it. I guess that's good, I bet I'd say really embarrassing stuff. sad

The Angel will come to you soon! blaugh

It'd be kind of cool to record yourself while you're sleeping just to see if you talk or not.

Must put a note first: I do NOT endorse falling asleep in concerts ~sob~ It wasn't my fault! It was the jet-lag, the jet-lag!

My college choir went to Germany last summer, and our idiot teacher decided that after a 16-hour flight and arriving at 7 AM German time (when we got up at 3 AM our time) that we still should see a concert that night. So everyone was falling asleep during the concert. We looked like a row of bobble-head dolls. And our teacher snores (so embarrassing to fall asleep at a concert!).

I tried to stay awake by studying the architechture of the concert hall (didn't work). I fell asleep looking at the massive chandelier and all the faces of different virtues mounted around the boxes at the top of the hall. Then I dreamed the chandelier was rocking, and that in the panic as it fell and everyone ran out, someone pulled me out into the hall and up a set of stairs that led up and had been roped off at the beggining before we sat down. Then I woke up as I was protesting to the cloaked figure that I was afraid of heights ^_^;;

I think I had this dream once about the Paris Opera. I was singing there, and I fell off the stage or something. Of course, Erik was below to catch me. Clutz that I am, that's not surprising. whee

D00d! I've been having a lot of Phantom dreams of late. Not last night but the night before, I had the best dream in the history of the universe!!! whee

I went to this summer camp thing; all my friends were there. It was weird, but we looked blurry and chibi-like. Hm. Anyway, I met up with Erik, and we hit it off right away. In fact, almost the entire dream was him holding me tightly in his arms as we said how much we loved each other. heart heart heart Ok, so that part is kind of cheesy, but it was romantic in my book. Then, news came of a Ball being held in the courtyard. Erik invited me to go with him, and, of course, I accepted. He gave me a dress to wear, but I never actually saw what it looked like. We danced, hugged, and danced some more, and just had one hell of a time.

All of the sudden, I found myself looking into this full-length mirror. I was very afraid. Then, out of no where, I was hanging off of this metal bar, awaiting a messy end. Then, this brown-ish-blonde-ish haired man with tan-ish skin and black-ish-brown-ish eyes appeared in front of me, and said simply: John Destler.

This isn't poto oriented but.. I have been having a twice repeated dream involving this.. doll akin to chucky but it had the appearance of a slightly frightening porcelien doll and in the second dream it had a male counterpart with it. Did I mention it has quick regeneration powers so I killed it by cutting it in multiple pieces and putting them in different blocks of cement and burying them. >_>;;; The other fruity dream was a Battle Royale(the movie/book) dream with my school class that seemed to mostly be composed of people I didn't know and friends that weren't in my school. ..oh, Yeah and instead of killing your friends, You gotta escape from monstrous things. The last thing we had to get past before freedom was a basilisk.

...Yeah, Thats all. They were both kinda scary. sweatdrop
