Melody looked up at Saniiro, smiling as she got up, "No problem. He does have to stop playing with his power." At this, she shot a stern glare towards the little boy, who pretended not to see it.
Mereneth settled himself more comfortably on Melody's lap, "Fire fun." He said this simply, remembering times when he played with his power.

"He is a defiant young man, isn't he?" Saniiro laughed lightly, "I guess it is to be expected, at their age. Now that you look back, times of childhood seems so far back... The times of being naive, that life... Is, or was, like a box of chocolates. Those times seemed to had passed with the blink of an eye."
Saga shook his head, sweeping his bangs to a side as they fell over his eyes. Throwing another piece of bread to the fishes, Saga replied, "Fire no fun... Fire scary."

"You wouldn't believe how much trouble he's caused," Melody laughed, saking her head in mock exasperation. "We used to quarrel over the stupidest of things when we were young," a smile crossed her face as she let herself think of her childhood. "Like, who got to lick the mixing bowl and who got the last cookie...And now," she shrugged, giving a bemused grin, "the kids are doing the same to me. Must be retribution." She joked.
Mereneth shrugged. If Saga was afraid of fire, it seemed to be no use for him to argue that it wasn't and waste time. Reaching over to take another piece of bread instead, he tossed it into the water.

"Retribution?" Saniiro gave a soft laugh, resettling Saga on his lap to make sure he was comfortable. "Well, I remember that whenever we were young, the housekeeper... He wasn't exactly taking care of a house, but nonetheless, he used to warn us that our kids will probably be as mischievous as us when we were young."
Saga looked at Mere again, "Mere... Know Halloween?"

Melody laughed, swinging her legs to and fro under the bench they were sitting on. "Lyallana told us that many times before when we got into trouble. I think Kaylee did grumble about cursing us with annoying children when we grew up too."
"Halloween? Yes." Mereneth grinned back. There was lots of talk of Halloween in his house lately, and the little boy was rather interested in it.

"Yes, I believe that was the case." Saniiro replied with a quick nod, before adding with a slight mock smirk. "These children... They take after their mother more than they take after me. She had agreed to it as well. Perhaps I should spend more time with them."
Saga swept his bangs back, giving a delighted smile, "Yes! Halloween! Mother said they have sweets, and chocolates!"

Melody gave a short giggle at that. Yeah, serious and unplayful children were rather...rare.
"And we get to dress up in costumes!" Mereneth grinned back, thinking of the one that Aunt Lyll was making for him.

Saniiro nodded in agreement, getting up from the bench. Smoothing out the creases in his pants, he lifted Saga up from his seat.
"Sorry, Miss Melody, but it is late," Saniiro said with a slight bow of his head. "It's about time I head for home."
Saga whimpered as he was lifted up, squirming a little as he turned to face Mere just as Saniiro started to walk away. Giving a little wave, Saga nodded, "Yes, dressing up is fun! Bye bye!"
