Ah, Smash in it's purest form! I love it! That makes me miss the days when people around here actually played VG and I had some opponents crying
I also noticed that's the japanese version, since when they started cheering for falco it was different than the crowd in the US release...

MindMage. Thats the way I love to play. 1 vs 1, No items, Flat Stage, 1/2 Damage ratio
It's official... I SUCK AT THIS GAME... I saw a tutorial thingy froma "pro". The Linkology... Compaired to that, I look like a freaking noob. On top of that I've tried everything for hours on end attempting to figure out that freaking WAVE DASH thing... I can't do, I don't even know how, I can't even fluke it...
Gawd, I suck... sad
By the way. In the game uistelf you can change it between English and Japanese. Not just voices or text but the ENTIRE game.

Ok, I think it's safe to say were not pros but we don't suck. I mean, I think we should go into the tourny at AN and see how far we go.
Now if someone won at Evo, that's another story.

Ryu shows with each new SF game that you don't need the flashiest moves or the fastest hit to be great. And Bruce Lee always said there is a counter for every attack, so don't despair at their looks. If they really put Brawl online, I will have a flippin field day. I won't rest till I can at least match all opponents.

Well Ryu's tier status does change from game to game, but he has been mainly mid to top, in my opnion.
But do you play any SSBM tournaments? Or do you have any game footage you could show us, that would really cool. 3nodding

No tounaments round here anymore, and too poor to go to conventions crying And I have no way to get game footage to computers. The best I can do is record on a VHS lol! sweatdrop
Either way my point isn't that you can beat someone like that off the bat, it's that if you had competition like them you could rise to that level, it's a matter of environment... For a crude example, Son Gokou for most of his life was pretty pathetic as a fighter in the universe's terms. But as stronger and stronger opponents forced him to go beyond his limits, he eventually became the best. Most people get too intimidated by such flashy moves to try and improve, but if you realize they are just people too you can win. It's like Anthony Hopkins said in a movie I never learned the name of (damn Channel 11 refuses to give names!) "What one man can do, another man can do!"

But then there's SF3, T5 biggrin R and CVS2. xd

Yogurt Pot Kirby all the way mate. With him, I was never beaten. I found Kirby to be a lot better in the first game than in Meele. It was a few things I suppose that they changed, but Kirby is still a pretty good character just not as good.
I play Kirby from time to time as well. 3nodding

Melee is my favorite fighting game, my friends and I have had a lot of good times with that game. We can't wait for Brawl to come out.
Usually, I play as Roy, Luigi or Captain Falcon. I usually get best results with Luigi.

I'm all about Ganondorf. Somehow I have become very capable.
My best fighter is still Dr. Mario.
I have just about beaten event 51 with Ganondorf.
most people are shocked.
Characters I can't nuke someone with: Mr. Game & Watch Ice Climbers Bowser Pichu Pikachu
Very Good with most others. ...but I did train against 3 level 9's on a team a lot.

Nice a Ganon player, so you must be really good with Captain Falcon right?
And how's your Mewtwo, cause I know for me and many other players, he is usually the lowest of the low in the form of tiers.
