I also have a hard time seeing it. It's difficult to pair Relena with anyone but Heero. She has such a one-track mind regarding that. sweatdrop But it seems like girls for the other boys are in short supply. Duo usually gets Hilde, which works, but what about the others? I mean feasible, living characters who have some basis in the series for communication with the pilots.

I've seen fics about this...
The one I liked and had to agree with the most was one where Heero was killed on a mission and the two came together in support of each other. After all, Duo clearly holds his friends close to his heart, as much as he tries to push them away. He'd be crushed by something like that, and Relena would probably be the one person who would truly feel the same way over losing Heero... except maybe Quatre, but that's only because Quatre would probably end up with physical chest pains from it for a month.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand...
Duo's very flirtatious, and even says, "Hey, good-lookin'!" to Relena at one point in the show. However, he keeps walking to leave her and Heero alone. In Endless Waltz, he encourages Heero to find her and rescue her, agreeing to help because, "He's got it for her bad." Or something like that. I'd have to go looking for the exact quote and I don't feel like doing that right now. But, he does acknowledge Heero's feelings towards Relena.
In the Blind Target manga, Relena and Heero actually do get close to kissing. An actual kiss is not shown, but it certainly makes people think.
However, we also have to remember that, when Endless Waltz is over, the group of them is only 16. They're certainly not going to be thinking about settling down. They're not even really in the 'high school sweetheart' mentality, yet. Who's to say they won't break up with whoever and try whoever else?
While I can see a short, "Why not?" shot at the two of them, I can't see them being a long-term couple.

Though i like trowa and catherine better 4laugh Trowa and Catherine do have a wonderful relationship, probably from the bond they feel due to the fact they are long-lost brother and sister!

They also mention in one of the filler pages of the Ep0 manga that Trowa has a burn scar on his back he doesn't remember getting, which would indicate how young he was when it happened. Thing is... you never see it in any of his shirtless shots from the back. stare There's even an image in the novelization (found on aboutgundamwing.com) that shows him in the shirtless clown costume from the back... and no scar... It makes you wonder, did he have one or not? And I'm getting off topic... sorry.

FanFiction.net is probably THE biggest fanfic site out there. There's probably crossover fics for the Gundam Wing characters with others... in fact, it's safe to say there ARE crossovers... since I know I've seen some.

Preventer Void Sorry, I just can't see it. It would take something extremely severe to get Relena away from Heero, and Duo, though flirty, seems to acknowledge the attraction and even encourage it. If that extreme thing happened, I could more easily see him trying to help a reconciliation than scoring her on the rebound. Besides, Duo seems like the sort of guy who wouldn't do that anyway; he'd probably consider it a betrayal of trust to go after a friend's ex. I'm going to have to agree fully with him on this. Besides, Duo is too pro active and wouldn't have the patience since Relena goes everywhere helping with the ESUN.
