"Yes." he nodded. "You wil find me if you look hard enough. I will always be ready to give you the test. I could be doing with lions based in the pridelands on my side." Mentally he classed the whole pride as a flock of doddering fools, not even able to fight for themselves, all they had was sheer numbers and fertile land. However, they concealed Na-Be within their borders, something which concerned him.
"If you see a blue lion who appears similar to myself, report that fact and his location and I will be...most pleased. I seek a terrible, evil lion who will bring destruction on your home if left be."
He grinned, well aware Na was less than dangerous "But don't concern yourself too much with him. I will catch him."

"Alright," Inari said with enthusiastic eyes. This was good. He could get bigger and stronger then seek Mrost out, and show him how much better he had become. Then...then perhaps he could be trained to be a warrior. Amari and Maawio would be so proud of their son...they just had to! Inari knew they would, they were his parents afterall, Inari's success would make them happy.
What made Inari even more enthusiastic about finding Mrost again, be given teh test, was the statement of having a lion in a pride, Inari was in a pride already! He could maybe stay near his family AND be a warrior. Life seemed good to the cub now.
Inari made mental notes of the lion Mrost descried. Blue? Perhaps he was a bad relative of Mrost's, someone who was disloyal. He could bring destruction as well, Inari would be sure to keep an eye out. Inari stood straight up, and puffed his chest out a little, "I will Mrost, if I find him I will look for you. But keep my intentions secret." He felt pride surge through his blood in his veins. He had never felt such a thing before.
It was getting later now though, Inari knew his parents would be looking for him soon. If they came across Inari and Mrost, thigns would be...hard to explain... Inari thought it best to keep his meeting with Mrost secret, so that the blue lion would not know of Mrost being nearby...so Mrost could catch him.
"I have to head back now Mrost, I'm sorry I can't stay longer...but I will look for him, I will. I will seek you out someday again too, I will get stronger because of your words." with that Inari turned and began to pad towards the den, but with his head held higher. He stopped and glanced back at Mrost, he wished he had something to remember him by, a feather perhaps. But Mrost's wings seemed barren, and he was too shy to ask. Perhaps someday, if Mrost's feathers ever grew back, he could wear one with pride.
Then, Inari could become a warrior.

Mrost grinned inwardly, once again it seemed the seeds of ambition were sown. The first test, wether or not the cub knew it, was already underway, if he came back to find Mrost, that was the first step, if not, he wasn't the kind of lion the god sought anyway. It was brilliant the way mortal minds seemed to work, he thought, if they were of the right inclination, this meeting would never truly leave their thoughts, if not, then they would move on and forget.
"Do that then and you will be rewarded."
His slitted blue gaze moved to the pridelands at the cub's admission at his parents waiting for him back home. He knew the suspicion that would be raised having found a cub speaking to one of the gods known for their silver tongue and destructive promises.
"We shall see then." he said with a smirk, noting the cub's glance at his wings. A souvenir was it he wanted? Perhaps proof that the meeting was real and not some crazy hallucination? His smirk fledged into a predatory grin and reaching back casually to those wings, seemingly devoid of feathers, he pulled a feather out from behind the illusion. Few lions flew without /some/ feathers. Mrost was one of those, he had feathers, ones he daren't eat because they hindered him, it was those he hid lest he be tempted, behind an illusion that he didn't allow to falter.
Casually flicking the beautiful iridecent blue feather to the ground in front of Inari, he turned to walk away. "Remember our words here." was his final comment before he spread his wings and with a few lazy downbeats, soared off into the sky.

Inari stopped, still standing tall with a smile on his face. His tail flicked to the side as he gazed upon Mrost, hoping someday he would be big and strong and wise like him.
Rewarded?
He was so psyched now. He had to find the blue lion, return to speak to Mrost when he was older. Perhaps then he could be trained to be a warrior, a strong and smart one at that. The, then everyone would know his name, he would be known, adn he would be strong...perhaps even feared for his strength. Inari would be able to protect those he cared for, and no one would be able to stop him.
"We will, I will find you Mrost, I will." he spoke sternly as if he bet his little head on it. This was all knew for Inari, and he loved the feeling. The thought of being a warrior was great and stayed prominent in his thoughts.
Golden eyes watched as Mrost reached behind himself, and what seemed out of no where a blue feather was in his paw. He watched Mrost flick it in his direction, eyes following it to the ground, then eyes looking back up at Mrost. Listening again to Mrost Inari then watched as Mrost ascended up into the air and disappeared into the distance.
Padding forward Inari gazed down at the feather, a smile never leaving his face. PIcking the feather up gently with his paw, Inari tried to place it behind one of his ears, to wear it with pride. It was a blue feather of a god, others would think it was that of a bird. They didn't have to know ehere it was really from.
Inari knew, that was good enough for him.
