She yawned and opened her eyes sleepily. Her ruby eyes looked around, unfocused and drowsy like. She got up from where she lay, and yawned again. She blinked a few times until her eyes were focused. She had slept in some sort of wooden structure, somewhat like a branch but bigger and more protective. Acadia shivered slightly, tilting her head towards the side.

Don't I live in a bag? She wondered, looking around to see where her bag had gone. It's not here anymore, my bag. I need my bag, it's my only protection from wherever I am. She trembled. It was then something caught her ruby eyes, it was a brightness unlike any other she had ever seen before. It came from an opening, to the left of her.

Acadia was frozen to the spot. She had never seen such beauty like that light that reflected upon the walls of this structure. She moved to the opening, transfixed upon that beam of light. Upon entering the opening she found herself on some sort of balcony, there it was.....the light. Acadia gazed upon that bright yellowish round thing in the bright blue something else. She twitched and blinked her eyes, as spots of lights were shown before her.

That hurt, to look at that bright sphere of light. She thought to herself, before turning back towards where the light had come from. If the sun could capture Acadia's attention so quickly, then the discovery of the sky and the lush land could capture her attention even more so. It's amazing, it's beautiful, it's......simply magical. How could I stay in that bag, how could I even want to go back into that bag when all this beauty is around me?

She opened her mouth and then shut it quickly when she remembered something, a sound that she had heard before. "Your name is Acadia......" Acadia spoke for the very first time. Her eyes bulged at her own daring to do so. "My name is Acadia. I do not know what this place is but I want to go and see more, see all that I can see." She bounced up excitedly, looking for how to get down. Finding a place she crepted closer, a tad afraid, and jumped from branch to branch till she landed in a heap on the ground.

"Owie." Acadia whined at her ungraceful landing on the ground. She grinned and looked up to where she had slept the night before. "I'll come back when I'm ready, don't leave.....'kay." Acadia bowed in front of the large Tree but more so not to the tree as to her house. She turned around and looked at the grasses before her.

"This is it, the beginning of my unbaggedness." And she began to walk, afraid yet unafraid of laid in store for her. Unknowing of what may happen, of the friends she might make, or the enemies she may encounter. But to have one innocent thought, and to look back unto the bright sphere of light in that blue and white blob of colour, then who knows maybe being without a bag would be alright regardless of the consequences that may follow.

She trotted along a dirt path, sniffing around at all of the smells that snuck upon her out of nowhere. They were good smells, fresh and piney smells from the trees, the dusty smell from the dirt path that made her sneeze, and a smell unlike any other. It made her think of wonderous things, and made her head go all airy and light. Acadia wondered what that smell was, she had been following it for awhile, the smell getting stronger every so often.

She rose her head towards that blue hue of the sky, and sniffed the air around her. There!, the smell was more defined now. It had come from straight ahead of her. Acadia ran, kicking up puffs of dirt as she went. She did not care if she got dirt up her nose again, she just wanted to find that beautiful smell. Acadia got to the grass again, passing trees and small shrubs as she went. Must hurry, c'mon paws do not fail me now. She panted, almost out of breath and then she saw it, huge thistles of bushes along horizontally.

She stopped , wondering how to get around or through these clumped together bushes. "There, a space I can fit under," she shouted outloud even though she was the only one around, "It sure is a good thing I'm so small." Acadia walked over to that very small gap underneath two of the bushes and started to crawl along the ground. The bushes branches swapped at her, smacking her body as she went.

"Ouch!!" Acadia flinched in pain as she rubbed painfully against a prickly thorn, "Have to watch out for those owie-causing things." She continued to crawl again, this time more slowly so as to carefully avoid the thorns. However, there were some thorns that were hidden that you only noticed them when you brushed against one. There, the exit!, she thought and quickly sped up, flinching in pain everytime she was scratched.

After getting out she looked at the wounds she was able to clearly she, red blood slid down from the cuts and seeing this red colour, so unlike the red colour of her body tears filled her ruby eyes. Acadia sniffed in pain, and then froze. It was that smell again, it came from right in front of her. She looked up slowly, seemingly afraid of what she would see once she did so. Acadia' jaw fell right open at the beauty of this place she now found herself in.

So many different colours surrounded the place, coming from the many flowers in the place Acadia had found. She had smelt the flowers from afar as they gave off a very distinct smell unlike any other she had ever smelt before. It was a garden, a flower garden where all different kinds of flowers. Acadia's mouth burst out into a big grin as she practically bounced in the flowers.

Flower petals flew up as she jumped on top of the flowers, she sighed and laid down. She moved onto her back and looked up at the bright blue sky, her eyes drooping occassionally. Acadia was at peace, this place was so lovely for her, her eyes drooped shut totally, as she fell into a deep slumber.

(Gosh I get too detailed into things, I really need to be pithy.)

Acadia yawned, stretched, and stood up on her four paws. Everything seemed the same but yet something was different. The place where Acadia frequented was the same as usual, nothing had changed about the garden. No, the thing had changed was her. She blinked and shook, ruffling her fur but also the huge wings that were now apart of her back.

She gasped and jumped around, moving her wings up and down and her paws lifted up from the ground a bit before Acadia noticed that she was hovering above the ground and she gasped again, dropping unto the ground at once.

"Ouch." She mumbled before forgetting her pain and moving unto her paws again. "I have wings, but how did this come about? If I have wings now, I wonder what else is different about?" Acadia said outloud, moving back and forth on her paws.

She walked towards where a stream was, Acadia didn't particularly care for the wetness where she accidentally slipped in one day but she could see herself in that water and that gave her the idea to look there and see what else was different about her.

There it is. She bounded across the grass and stopped right in front of the stream, looking down. My wings are huge, they're pretty almost. I look mostly the same except for those wings, and that thing around my neck. I wonder what it is? But wait.........it can't be, I'm......I'm bigger. I can't believe it.

Acadia bounced excitedly, running around and leaping up into the air from time to time shouting, "I'm big, I'm bigger than all that I've seen. It's amazing." She continued showing off her excitement, even after the sun had set.

There did three entries with Acadia, one when she just went out of her bag, an experience as a child, and now adulthood. I think I will try making up journal entries for some of my other Efui now.

A day in the forest...

TAPS baby
Grant ran along the forest floor chasing after a leaf on the ground. Even as an adult he loved to run after things. He was ready to pounce on the leaf when it stopped. He crouched down waiting for it to move again. Getting a “dead” leaf would not be any fun at all. His tail twitched and he wiggled his nose waiting. A soft growling noise came from him. Waiting so still too much for him.

After what was not to much time in the long run but way to long for him he sat down with a sigh. He rolled over to his back and pawed up at the air. He could find Jason to play with but he was scared that one day he would get stepped on.

Artemis yawned sleepily, opening his eyes tiredly. He looked as if he had just woken up from a nap. He moved shakingly to his feet, yawning again. He stretched, crouching low on his front paws before standing up straight again on all four paws.

His sky blue eyes looked around, focusing his eyes on the trees all around him. He moved sluggishly forward, trotting slightly across the grass, time to time walking on dirt. Artemis blinked, seeing an odd sight. It was another like him, albeit this Efui had wings and was strangely pawing at an invisible object. Or that is what it looked like to Artemis.

He continued to stare at this Efui, never meeting another of his kind before. He wasn't sure of what to do, what to say and so he just stood there. Frozen in place.

TAPS baby
Grant sighed yet again and turned around. Laying on his said he saw something white in the trees. He got up to his feet and started to walk over slowly. He got about twenty feet in front of him then sat down. He just sat there and looked at him. He tilted his head a little and looked at the white thing for a long time. Well a long time for Grant anyway.

Grant picked up his paw to about chest high then waved his paw up and down a few inches. It was something Jason did to say hello all the time. He felt something on his nose. He crossed his eyes and looked at his nose. It was a small fly. He started to hit as his nose forgetting about the white thing he saw. The fly would not come off he started to run around and a round swatting at his nose every few steps.

When this strange being had come closer, Artemis jumped back at once, finally coming awake entirely. He blinked in confusion at the attention span of this Efui, one moment he was staring right at him and then the next moment was fooling around with a fly. He didn't know what to make of this strange Efui.

He opened his mouth as if to say something but nothing came out. What am I doing, I'm supposed to be brave. Not supposed to be a coward over this Efui, he's just like me. Though he does have wings, and that makes him bigger.........NO! I must not be scared and run away with my tail between my legs.

Without even realizing what he was doing, Artemis had been moving back and forth. As if he was going to approach this other Efui subconciously but then his cowardness overrided him and he moved back again. He opened his mouth again, just as another fly flew into his mouth. He shook his head, with tongue out, his paws clawing at the ground. Artemis did not want a fly in his mouth.

TAPS baby
Grant still running around still trying to get the fly off his nose. He started to run right at the other. Has he called him in his head with out really knowing? He growled and stomped and ran trying to get the fly off.

Lucky for the ‘other’ he looked up just in time. He was about the run into the ‘other’ he turned swiftly into a tree hitting it hard. He let out a loud cry. He hit so hard he fell down on his butt.

He started to shake his head. At least the fly was gone. He looked next to him at the white ‘other’. “Hello” he said as he rubbed his head.

Rita Zyon
Artemis finally got that fly out of this mouth, closing his mouth firmly. He looked up just as he saw the mostly blue, winged Efui come rampaging at him. He froze, but that Efui moved away in a spilt second, smacking into a tree instead.

Artemis practically stopped breathing. That Efui was quick, to be able to move out of the way in time but he also wasn't a coward like Artemis was. He flushed slightly, embarrassed about always freezing up when the other Efui did strange things.

He barely even registered in his mind that the winged Efui was speaking to him. Artemis spun towards this being, at the 'hello' he heard. "Hello", he squeaked out, "I mean HELLO......to ah you as well." Artemis shouted the hello out awkwardly before changing back to a mumbling squeaking noise.

I am officially a coward. He thought, with embarrassment creeping up on him.
