Lela wrinkled her small brow for a moment, mulling over Kika's words. "Does that mean...that everything that looks the same isn't the same?" She tilted her head, gazing at a single blade of grass. "Like...each lion is different from the other. Or...each zebra is different, even though they all look the same?" She leapt to her paws, tail swishing over her back rapidly. Her own zebra example had made something click in her head. "So even though from a distance, the zebras may all look the same, once you get up close, every single one of them has a different pattern of stripes! Is that right?"
She bounded forward a few steps, eyes squinting as she gazed towards the slowly reddening horizon. It would be time for the evening rituals soon - she'd have to be back before then, or else risk landing herself in deep trouble. She turned to Kika, grinning widely. "I don't think I ever want to grow up, Mr. Kika. But if I do, I'm never going to forget the first cheetah I ever met." Bravely, the pup stepped forward and slid the side of her head and cheek over his front leg, nuzzling the sleek feline. "I hope I see you again soon, Mr. Kika. I'll always come by here to look for you just in case you've made it to the ocean for me, so you can tell me wonderful stories."
She giggled, raising up on her back paws unsteadily . She fell forward clumsily, her tiny paws coming to rest on one of Kika's slender legs. Stretching her short muzzle as far as if would go, she gave a dry lick to the cheetah's chin. "Bye, Mr. Kika."

A nod came from the cheetah before he spoke, "You are correct Miss Lela, everything is different in its own way." The male was quite proud of the wild dog for figuring it out so very quickly. "You are very bright, I am sure that you will do great things in your lifetime."
Clearing this throat he met the wild dogs gaze "There will be times when you wish you were still a child but I am sure that you will enjoy being an adult." A pause. "And I will never forget you." It was a promise, and he was determined to keep it. "The moment I see the ocean I will think of you and come back."
"Farewell, for now." He returned her lick with a soft nuzzle. "I will see you again, some day."

[two sentence short post to wrap it up. <3 xDD]
The small black female grinned at the nuzzle, lowering herself from her upright stance. "I can't wait until we meet again, Mr. Kika. I hope it isn't too long." Grinning, her waved her tail hurriedly over her back. She couldn't wait to get home and tell everybody about the friend she had made while out on her adventure. "Bye, Mr. Kika."
With that, she turned tail and loped slowly back to where her pack was, eager to get back before her absence was noticed. Yet she paused, turning to look over her shoulder. Barking happily, she patted the ground with her paws, ears plastered to her skull. It was her final farewell before the young pup scampered into the lush foliage.
