Well... I wouldn't really call it big. I usually think big=more guests. And by normal definitions 75 really isn't that many. And it's really not horribly expensive either. Probably about $20k Canadian. Judging that the average wedding is $20k American I don't think we are doing too badly. I think it's just the fact that I tend to have expensive tastes and really just want to have one great big party that I can remember fondly forever. Is that an answer to your question?

It seems like a pretty big get together. My dad's wedding (to my step-mom) must have had 20 people. And I'm sure it didn't cost all that much.

well maybe it''s big compaired to that but:
1. A second wedding is usually less extravagent then the first.
2. In the past couple of weeks working at the castle I have seen one wedding with 400+ guests and easily $6k in flowers alone! Probably $50k over all. I''ve seen another 5 or 6 weddings in the 200 guest range as well. Trust me if you run this up against and average wedding it''s really not that big. I think that the weddings you have been to were on the smaller side.
