Wow, I think my school is one of the very few that did not playe Pirates of the Carribean this year...Especially as far as marching bands go--most of the band people I know can't stand the music anymore, you'll probably get smacked for humming it--we had to listen to that many bands play it(people groaned when a band playing it took the field). I still like it, though. mrgreen

our second show, i barely remember, was easier stuff like louie louie proud mary ...and some other stuff i can't remember
our concert band had a lot of fun with under the rice moon two english dances hymn to the fallen (from saving private ryan) song without words (and our favorite) the great locomotive chase

Our marching show was, "It's all cliche". Our closing piece was, of course, pirates. We wore converse shoes scream and did a lot of things from DCI and stuff. It was funny when ppl got the jokes. Like playing pirates along with about 50 other bands, but we were making fun of them. HAHA *points and laughs*

I think nearly every band on the planet played "Pirates of the Caribbean" this year, and my band is no exception. During marching season, for like parades and stuff, we played "The Black Horse Troop" and "The Washington Post" by John Philip Sousa, "I Heard It Through The Grapevine," the theme from Rocky ("Gonna Fly Now"), "September," and "Vehicle;" for our originality routine we did "Tip-Toe Thru' The Tulips With Me," "Let The Sunshine In," and "Everything's Coming up Roses." We didn't even have a Christmas concert... crying For our Spring Concert we played a bunch of songs by James Swearingen..."Celebration for Winds and Percussion," "Invicta," "Rhythm of the Winds," and "Brighton Beach." We also did "Prelude and Fugue," "Prelude and Rhondo," and "Gaelforce," and then for a finale we did a song called "An American Elegy," which was dedicated to the ones who died at Columbine, and "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philip Sousa. It was fun!!!
