((well most of the wyrelings are out on the lesson flight to the lake so there isn't much i can do for a post now...unless Iskio cares to call us back from the lake))
T'thia touched her dragon's mind
"are you tiring love?"
and enthusiastic voice replied to ehr
not in the least...look the lake!
sure enough they were nearing the lake fast. T'thia raised her arm in the air and guided the V shaped wyrelings in a soft spiral down to the lake edge. the Dragon's would need a short rest before taking off again. once they had all landed she looked over her shoulder and counted off the dragons. everyone was doing just fine in rotating their dragons to keep them from tiring. she stepped over to L'del
"think Blazeth can handel the peak on the return trip?"

Isskio chirps at the landing Weyrlings, then vanishes between. After several moments, she returns with a message strapped to one leg. Landing carefully on T'thia's shoulder, she permits the message to be removed. The message[color=white] Don't stay at the lake too long; the Fall at Fort was rather bad and you might be needed at the Weyr. Tell the others to take note of how the lake looks from above; it will be the destination for our between lessons. Fly carefully, --Rayinte

Ray bustles around the Weyr, and eventually runs into K'makin.
"Finally! I've been looking for you. It's time to pass out Isskio's eggs and I need you to take some of them to Fort. Also, have you seen Ryala? She's going to take some also." She pauses for breath.

Kya crosses his arms and looks at Ray with an eyebrow raised.

Ray huffs exasperatedly. "Of course, it was part of the deal when I asked you to ferry some baskets to Fort for me. I need you to take three baskets, I have them labeled in the lower caverns and your eggpot is there too."

Grinning, Kya uncrossed his arms. "Okay, so let's go get those eggpots and you can tell me where to find their future owners." He follows Ray toward the kitchens, wondering how he was supposed to recognize the "egg candidates."

Ray snorts at the brownrider, and heads toward where she's stashed the eggpots. There's a row of six baskets in front of the hearth, and quite a few eggpots without baskets yet.
Glancing at the tags, Ray picks up three of the baskets. "These are for Nevaeh, Feather, and Faerra. They're all candidates at Fort, I believe. Tell them that the colors of the pots themselves are significant, and make sure they know how to care for the flits right after they hatch."
She passes two of the baskets to Kya and heads back outside, talking over her shoulder at him. "If you would, I also need to send some of the eggs to High Reaches. The Weyrleaders there asked for some eggs to distribute there, and there's already plenty of flits clogging our skies."

By asking me. Wrath knows what they look like, and she showed me. And I can show you. Pretty fancy, isn't it?
Fancy? That's not the word I'd use for it. Flashy, maybe. Show-offy, perhaps. Kya coughed. "Well, Nakoreth just answered for you."

"Well, I have to go track down Ryala now, and a few local riders who should be around. Fly safe, K'makin." She hands him the last basket, then hurries off to find her other volunteer.

K'makin watches Ray head off, not really thinking at all... until Nakoreth interrupts him. Not a chance, my friend. I couldn't possibly pull that stunt on Wrath a second time. The brown sounded amused.
I was not thinking that! Kya replies irritably. Can you bring your harness with you? And could you grab my riding jacket and helmet?
Surrree... would you like me to pour your klah as well?
You probably could, if the cup and pitcher were large enough. I know you can carry your harness and my riding gear, and you know you want to, just to prove you can, and to show off.
Nakoreth sent a sniggering sound. While waiting, K'makin peeked into the baskets; the eggpots were partially buried in hot sand. He hoped that this would be sufficient to keep safe from between.
Ta da! Nakoreth landed daintily on his hind legs, and placed his harness and K'makin's jacket and helmet on the ground.
Laughing, K'makin strapped the harness onto his show-off of a brown, then fastened the egg baskets to the riding straps. After donning the jacket and cramming the helmet onto his head, he climbed up the dragon's shoulder. "Okay, Fort, here we come. Again."

A random High Reaches brownrider appears over Benden to collect the leftover eggs. The brown dragon lands neatly in the Weyrbowl, his rider dismounting and looking about. Now how am I supposed to find this rider...? She looks like this. The brown sent an image of Ray to the man.
Thanks. T'ren then set off to find this goldrider.

Ray looks around the lower caverns, wondering if she should recruit Wrath to contact the dragons of the riders she was hunting. Not here. She hurries out, and nearly runs into a strange rider. "Hi there," she says, barely not knocking him over.

T'ren jumped as suddenly someone almost ran into him. "Hi. Wait, are you-" Rayinte. "Rayinte?" This looked like the image Teneth had sent him, but he thought he'd better make sure first...
The brown snorted mentally. It's a good thing you have me, eh, Mine?

The brownrider blushed slightly. "Okay, Ray, then. I was sent from High Reaches to gather flit eggs from you?" The statement turned into a question as the shy man looked inquiringly at the goldrider.
The brown just sighed. Will you ever be open to girls?
No. Was the stout response.
