Branwan sat back calmly as Christopher ranted, her face perfectly controlled, the only outward sign of her anger was the rapped taping of her fingernail against the table. All she did as Chris walked away was raise one eyebrow disapprovingly. He’s going to miss his girl friend, she thought, as the girl entered.

She then turned her full attention to what Edward was saying. “Then that,” she acknowledged calmly, inclining her head slowly, “excludes him from my statement, it does not however,” her face darkened, “exclude you.” Her face was stern, “What excuse do you have?”

~Glacus at 50%~

Glacus walked into the cafeteria, and scoured it for Christopher. He felt ridiculous with his very contrasting stripes and his huge fins stick out everywhere, not to mention his newly acquired tail, and flippers. He felt really dumb because his flippers made a slight flopping noise, on the smooth flooring. And adding to fact that he was still shaken up after last night, he was not in the most adventurous mood.

‘Where was he?’ He wandered, and then he saw Minna, and followed her. ‘Minna does it again’, He said, to himself.
“Hey Minna, Erik, Chris, and Chris’s friends-” He was interrupted by a roar from Chris directed towards a who was clearly not in happy mood, the last time that roar was heard by Glacus was at the beach incident.

At first, Erik thought Branwan was joking, so he gave her a nervous grin, but then seeing the look on her face told him otherwise. Letting out a big sigh, he told her "You're right, I have no excuse. But I-" Before he could he could finish, Chris came over and yelled at her. An unsure look on his face, he had reached an all-new level of embarassment. Looking at Branwan with an 'I'm sorry' look, he tried to speak, but couldn't find the words.

His older brother was yelling and growling at the girl he had a crush on, talk about awkward.

Erik instantly knew what Chris meant by 'something important', and he was scared s***less. Well, things seemed like they were going to crash and burn anyway, so might as well get it over with.

Erik turned his head to Branwan and looked her directly in the eyes. Nervous as holy hell he managed to say to her "Br-Branwan, I-I-I've been thinking a lot l-lately, and I w-wanted to tell you that I really like sp-spending time with you, and so I got this f-f-for y-you." With that, he pulled out a small. white box and held it in his hand, and continued struggling to say what he knew he had to say to her. "An-Anyways, I also wanted t-t-to tell you th-that I-I...that I....that I like you!" Too scared to say anything else to her or even look at her anymore, Erik put the box in front of Branwan, and ran outside, curling up against the side of the Cafeteria.

Upon opening the little box, Branwan discovers a beautiful emerald necklace that Erik got for her.

Bnranwan bit back a sharp comment and listened to what Erik had to say. No Christopher you open your eyes! She wanted to say, that makeup comment had hurt, we have to control the animals instincts! If I didn’t I’d go and steal other people’s jewelry and go eat road kill!

As Erik began to stutter with fear Branwan’s stomach churned in sympathy. By the time he had finished talking Branwan was speechless, she had never had a boy fall for her before.

She opened up the box and lifted the necklace out almost reverently. She looked down at it, the light reflecting and refracting in the facets of the emerald. “I like you to” she managed to wisper.

Christopher sat on his seat in suspense, hoping the tension would finally come to a halt once Erik admitted his crush to Branwan. However, he felt like a fool when he saw Erik run for it. But seeing how his little brother's crush reacted to the necklace, a bittersweet smile crossed his face. Unbeknowst to him, his half-tail began to wag.

"Do you see now Branwan?" Christopher spoke up again, his voice very soft now, "Not all the changes coming with our animal sides are bad. Erik... my little brother... he use to be very withdrawn. But because of what he's becoming, it's causing him to become more social and outgoing. It's a good thing for him and this is why I got so mad. Please, don't look down on him for it. If it wasn't happening... any of it, he wouldn't have even met you let alone confess how he feels. Please, don't break his heart."

Christopher sighed a little and gazed at Minna, soon followed with a passionate kiss on her lips. He almost didn't hear Glacus. When he did though, Chris broke into a laugh in mid-kiss. "No, I didn't sleep too well. And I bet those flippers are a pain."

Remembering that Erik had ran off, Christopher motioned for them to follow. "Come on guys... We need to go find Erik. He won't have gone far."

Christopher lead the way and was not surprised to see Erik on the side of the building. He called to him, "Erik? Come over here! Branwan has something to say to you."

Minna followed wordlessly.

~I have no idea what's going on. Why did I have to be late?~, she thought, walking out the door after...Branwan? THat had to be her name...or in Minna's mind it had to be her name.
