"Maybe I'll go there someday... But I think leaving now would just smash all the hope of making a new friend. " she said looking at him. "That is of corse if you wanted to be my friend."

She felt awkward, not really knowing how to act or what to say. Maybe he was trying to direct her to the pridelands because they could put up with her better than he could. Part of her hoped that was not the case and he was really being nice...and part of her selfish old self told her other wise. Her tail flicked and she finally chose to put faith that he was just trying to be nice, as he had shown her no indication of being mean, or having some hidden agenda in talking to her. After all, he had been the one to first adress her.

He grinned at this and nodded. "Of course! I can give you a tour of the lands, if you'd like!" Plus that would but him some time of something to converse about... He glanced up toward the stars and sighed just slightly. Star gazing could wait until tomorrow.

The lioness nodded her head. "Sure... I think I could do with a Tour. I havent been here before. " she said, standing and lightly shaking her body free of the dirt that had settled on her fur. Ayo looked at Kenai with a smile, her eyes glittering softly with hope, it almost seemed as if a funk had lifted from her, a weight of the past burden.

"any place you want to start with?" she asked, qith a tilt of her head. "I'm sure your familys land is very large."

Oh! He could save the hills for last, because then maybe he could get some star gazing in! "Well hmm.. there's the river, but it's kind of dangerous. And the dens.." He just shrugged his shoulders, that seemed a little pointless. "The three wateringholes are quite something, all near by each other. I haven't really seen that much water anywhere else.." Yes, they could start there.

He got to his paws and shook off a little, taking a few lumbering steps and looking over his shoulder to see that she was coming.

"I'll follow you to where ever you want to take me." she said with a soft smirk, her tail flicking behind her. The stars gleemed down on them in silved dappled rays through the trees as they walked, her large paws lumbering forward through the dark. "I bet this place just sings when the morning rays hit the trees..." she said, more of a remark to herself than a statment to him.

The sun? He glanced over his shoulder again, and than forward so he could look around at some of the trees surrounding them. "I've never been in the woods during a sunset." He said, looking a little surprised. "Actually I also think it would be quite a nice sight." He grinned and his tail flicked to the side as he made his way through the woods. "Long ago they used to believe these woods were haunted by spirits, that came out during the night." He glanced to her and rolled his eyes, though deep down he was a little afraid of these woods. "They used to hear strange noises from these woods and stuff. This was when my mother was a cub, right before the pride... died out." He frowned in thought. Right, something like that. He couldn't remember the history perfectly. He didn't need to, after all.

"Though my mum and dad came back here with my three older siblings to start the pride again."

The lioness nodded her head with a soft chuckle. It was funny to her how sometimes you could take the simple things for granted and not even think about them until an outside mentioned it. She smirked to herself and continued to walk behind him, listening to his story. Her ears lightly flicking to the side as the twig that snapped under her paws echoed into the forest.

The silver rays rained down her her, her form sliding through the shadows as pale as a ghoast. Her tawny fur lightly ruffled as he mentioned the strange sounds and the pride returning to the land. Could spirits have really been the cause? She couldnt rightlty say, never a real believer or sceptic....

"It sounds like your pride has a very rich history." she said with a nod of her head. "and it seems like your parents have done a great job, bringing this pride back to full life. "

Besides the fact that about 80 percent of it was his family? Yeah it was a pretty good job. He guessed. But he didn't say that part out loud, because he was pretty ashamed of thinking it. "Yes, it's a wonderful history." He agreed. His favorite bit of it was about the falling stars.

His dark eyes flickered over a pool of water, shinning like glass in the moonlight. "Here we are. There are two other wateringholes, one to the left and the other to the right." He moved forward and leaned down for a drink.

Ayo looked at the water, the moon and stars reflecting on its surface seemed to dance as he bent down to take in a drink. She smiled as it seemed as if the heavens sang just then, dancing on the water. Such a silly thought, but it was a nice one. She nodded her head and walked towards the water herself. "Its nice and deep... plenty for everyone who calls this place home. Along with the other ones.. no fighting over water."

He sat back on his haunches and wtached her for a minute. Were there really lions in prides who fought over water among themselves? That was a terrible thought! "Good for swimming, too." He grinned, half suggesting that they should go for a nice swim.

Ayo looked over at him, a sly smirk spreding onto her face as he mentioned swimming. With a playful giggle her ears flattened back against her head. With a great leap the lionness dove into the water, splashing and sending water droplets spraying into the air, glittering like stars as the fell.

Shaking her wet fur she chuckled and couldnt help but smile. Oh how she loved swimming, and by moonlight too. "It would seem you are right, this water is perfect for swiming." she said, laughing all the while.

He gave a little chuckle and followed in after her, though a bit more slowly. Once he was in the water he smacked a large paw against the water, half scooping it into the air; splashing at her. "Take that!" He laughed, just playing with her.

Ayo laughed as the curtain of water fell onto her. Shaking her head she opened her eyes and sneered at him. "So thats how its gonna be huh?" she asked, slapping at the water in his direction.

He laughed and shook his fringe of a mane slightly, nodding. "That's exactly how it's going to be, missy." He growled out, trying to hold back his laughter as he pounced at her, water flying everywhere.

Ayo growled back at him, a playful growl. And then all at once she found herself under the water. Laughin she inhaled a lung ful of water, and sputtered out bubbles. Surfacing she coughed and shook her head, water droplets flying off her mane.

She sneered at him, her golden eyes glittering in the moonlight. "Hmm, Gonna play dirty eh!? Pouncing a poor unsuspecting lioness." She flu into the air in an attempt to pounce him now.
