Kitwe watched in amazment as the other cub crawled among the trees as if she were on the ground. "Woooow", she quietly breathed to herself. She wasn't nearly so graceful in tree climbing, and had often wondered if it was a curse that would follow her for the rest of her days. Her eyes were wide, and a large smile pressed it's way across her muzzle as she looked up at the other cub. The small tiff that was unfolding below pulled her attention once more to the jungle floor, however, and she watched in disbelief as the female lion proclaimed the other cub at fault. That didn't quite seem fair to Kitwe, but she wasn't about to speak up about it. At least they were both alright, so she supposed that it didn't much matter. And....maybe it was somehow the male lion's fault after all? Maybe she had missed something? Kitwe was a bit gullible, and therefore easily swayed. She puzzled at the question posed to her by the female cub. "Well...I....I was here when you showed up?", she answered, not quite sure of what else to say. It was the truth after all. She had been in this tree for most of her life. She then turned back to the other leopard, waiting for her answer.

Cocking her head to one side, Kasida watched Kitwe with surprise. She was talking to lions? Weird.. it was well out of the norm for her, but so was this. It isn't every day that she meets up with other leopards, or lions for that matter. In one swift movement, the little cub's grip leaves the safety of her branch and she leaps into the air, landing semi-gracefully on the branch the pale leopard cup was perched upon. Staring down at the lion cubs below, she wrinkled her nose. "Why are you talking to lions?" she questioned Kitwe.

The sudden and swift movement of Kasida startled Kitwe, and she nearly fell off of the limb yet again. Her body now pressed against the branch, and claws planted firmly into the sides, she looked up at her fellow leopardess again, contemplating the question. "Oh...." she started, with a puzzled look on her face. "I dont' know. I guess....because they're here, and I have been alone for a while." She then grinned goofily and widely, "And because they're talking to me." She then realized that this other leopard was so much more knowledgable...perhaps she knew something that Kitwe didn't, and so the puzzlement returned and her eyebrows raised. "Why? ..is that........bad?"

Giving another quick glance down at the lions, the little leopard cub leaned close to her new companion. "Lions are the dumbest of all the animals you know," Kasida whispered. "And they're vicious! They'll kill you over anything!" Carefully inching down, as to not loose her balance, the cub found a comfortable spot to lay down. Her hind legs were straddling the branch, her head was resting on her forelegs, and her striped and spotted tail twitched ever so slightly.

Kitwe looked down at the lions also, bewilderment clearly showing on her face. They hadn't seemed terribly stupid to her. The vicious part she could partially see, but the dumbest of all animals? She followed Kasida's lead, and lowered her voice to a whisper. "So...we shouldn't talk to them then? Do you think they'll just go away and not eat us then?" She gulped.

((Wow it's been a while... sweatdrop *jumps in*))
Kota looked up at the two leopards, and frowned slightly. What are those two whispering about? Are they planning something? What're they gonna do? He winced and shook his head. Those two are so high up! It hurt his neck just to look up at them. But he wasn't sure he could trust them. Who knows. What if leopards ate lions? (( eek Kota's a little rusty on his knowledge of other creatures. sweatdrop ))

((okay, I'll just start off small...))
Mizaku moved slowly on top of a branch, his feet padding softly against the hard bark. His eyes darted from side to side, examing the area carefully. With a silent yawn he crouched on the edge of the branch and looked down at the ground beneath him. He watched his tail swing endlessly, other than that he was completely still.

Disgusted with Kota and the two leopards above her, Ciyari merely gives them all little filthy looks. What're they doing here, anyways? This is her home, not theirs. She glares at the leopards above her; but to no avail, it seems. They're whispering to themselves. Stupid spot-cats. She huffily pulls her gaze back down to the white lion cub. "Well, see that you pay a bit more attention next time," She says, with the haughty air and grace of the very royal. She trots off down the path, kicking up a little cloud of dust in her wake as she continues on her way to another part of the jungle.
She slowly starts to go downhill, and her ears twitch forwards at the uneasy silence. It's darker in here, too, more enclosed. She must be reaching the heart of the jungle now. Odd sounds echo eerily around her. The gray little cub's ears flatten, and she slouches, trying to keep a low profile; right as she walks under Mizaku's tree, she trips on a root and goes flying.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!"
Her cry of surprise slices through the silence, and, not for the first time today, she goes flying head over heels, and landing in a heap of irritated fur inside a stump not five feet away.

Below the tree branch was a harmless Eland grazing on some grass named Oga. She had decided to venture to this location because of the extreme heat. She had seen the little leopard from the corner of her eye and froze. She knew he was just a cub, but she has had bad experiences with leopards before. ((Hope you don't mind if I join in with my common eland ^^))

Mizaku jumps up, nearly falling off the branch as he hears the scream echo against the tree. His ears flatten and he glares down at what had caused this. Noticed the greyish lion first, his angry look fades and he crawls to a lower branch to look at her. "...are....you okay, lion cub...." he asks, swishing his tail low to the branches surface. He didn't really want to interact with a lion, but he knew he'd be safe on the tree's high branches.

At the edge of the forest, the reddish cheetah cub paused, hesitating at the unfamiliar territory. Hearing voices nearby, she slunk low through the undergrowth, her natural curiousity overcoming her abiding fear of strangers.

Oga heard the scream and dashed into the bushes behind her. Her heart beating a million miles a minute, she laid down so the two creatures would not be able to see her. She heard words coming from the other side of the bushes and decided to listen to the conversation. She was stll hungry as she has not eaten anything up until now and was pleased to find some berries in a bush near by.

((Go right ahead, choucho! biggrin This is great...*loves elands* xd They're so pretty.))
Uugh...brain...hurts...scrambled. Dazed, the little lioness cub pops her head out from the rotten stump, looking rather murderous. Twice in one day! Things really need to stop tripping her; it's rotten of them. First that little lion cub, and now what looks like a...root. Well, that's rather disheartening. She doesn't have much of an excuse this time. With a sigh, she pops out of the stump with a lithe little jump, ears snapping back against her skull. Stupid root. Stupid stump. Stupid, stupid, stupid....
Not watching where she's going, she yelps with fright as she almost collides with what at first she thought was a small tree - but now she realizes it as somebody's leg. A preybeast's leg. A big preybeast's leg. She stares up blankly at Oga. From a distance, these things don't look so scary. But up close...that's another matter.
She jumps with fright, again, as she hears a voice above her. Scampering out of the way of the eland - and her dangerous hooves - Ciyari manages to wedge herself inbetween the roots of Mizaku's tree. She peers up, to a spotted face...oh, great, another leopard. She frowns at him rudely. But at least he was being polite, unlike some leopards she's met. She sniffs. "I'm fine." He must've seen her inelegant fall. Hastily, she tacks on, "I was runnin' away from bandits."

The cheetah female froze as she spotted the eland taking refuges in the very place she was creeping towards. She paused, still as a statue, undecided whether to advance; the eland was very big, and her mother had once warned her to steer clear until she was old enough. Unfortunately, being still young, her balance was not good. Her paw fell with a soft thud and crackle amongst the dried grass, and she cringed.

The pale collored leopard cub grinned and laid himself down on the branch again. He put his head against his paws as he looked at the lion beneath him. His eyes widened the slightest bit as he listened to her. Mizaku lifted his head and jumped to the the branch nearest to Ciyari. "Bandits, eh? ...hmm... that sounds dangerous... you must be pretty fast to out run them," he said as if to encourage this story. He wasn't sure whether to believe it or not...
Glancing at the Oga his ears flatten against his head again, a dark look comign over his face. When would he ever be old enough to catch one...? He sighed, knowing she couldn't touch him up here. He stared back down at the silver lion cub.
